Why are Guys Stronger Than Girls?
Many people know that guys are stronger than girls, but do you know the story behind it?
All of you out there know that girls are weaker than guys, there’s no denying that but what is unclear is why. Some people say that it’s just because guys are born stronger than girls but I say that’s complete BS. When babies are born they’re all the same, weak, stupid and small. There’s not much difference between guys and girls at that stage but later on the difference is much more pronounced.
One reason could be the society we live in. People expect girls to not be strong so parents shape their kids to follow society’s standards. This can be noticed everywhere. Sports teams that only allows guys and cheerleaders only being girls. If that were to change the expectations of people would shift.
Another could be that girls simply don’t exercise enough to fully train their muscles. This also has a bit to do with society’s expectations, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for girls’ to exercise and frankly, I don’t think they want to. From what I’ve experienced girls find every bit of physical pain unberable and give up whenever it occurs.
I am fully against the fact that guys are just supposed to be stronger than girls. It may be true to some degree but if someone was willing to actually do something about it, they could change that fact. Take other species for instance, their females are bigger, stronger and are more vicious than the males.
Here’s an example, if a guy just sits on the couch everyday while the girl jogs everyday and plays sports, the girl is bound to be in much better physical form than the guy but the fact is, not a lot of girls do that. Although some girls are crazy about their weight, they’re not even willing to exercise for it. I find that disgusting. I don’t mind girls who are overweight but are actually trying to overcome it. That doesn’t mean normal and fit girls are scum. As long as their not wussies I believe they’re fine but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a preference.
I think the biggest problem here is society’s standards. If people didn’t mind girls and guys doing different things then there wouldn’t be so much of a contraversy about this.

you say that if a girl works out and a guy sits on the couch yea she is going to be stronger.. but it is scientifically proven that if the girl and the guy had the same eating habits and worked out the same amount of time… the guy would be naturally stronger that is just the way it is. girls are born with more fat and less muscle mass than guys it is a fact because they need the fat to give birth. i think you need to know all the facts.

Yeah, I think that you’re right to some extent. True, most girls don’t exercize because the society is really dumb and expect girls to be weak. But naturally, guys bodies are stronger in general. You know, if a guy and a girl have the same amount of work out, the guy still will be stronger. Oh…and I hope you’re only refering to the general girls, because I am a girl, I take Martial Arts, I want to be powerful, I’ll exercize to lose weight (but mostly to get stronger), and I would never stop eating for anything. So I guess this is adressing to the ‘regular’ girl? Remember…where there’s a society, a generalization, and ‘normal’ group…there’s always an outcast. Not all girls are like that. Girls that want to be skinny and fast, never exercize, and want to be weak don’t deserve any recognition.
…Okay. that’s it.

I think it is because guys have testosterone and girls have estrogen? Hormones play a huge role in muscle, strength, and aggressiveness.

Obviously a girl who exercises more than a lazy guy who sits around all day will be in better physical form, but most likely not stronger. I’m sorry but there are biological facts that cannot be changed, girls and women have the technology and sometimes can beat up guys totally on their own, but guys are still stronger because that’s how it is, it does not have to with society, like guys aren’t stronger than girls because society encourages them to be stronger (every society in the world guys are stronger) it’s a biological fact that we’re physically stronger. Like all humans have permanent biological attributes like eyes and ears and hands not because society gave us those physical features but because it’s a biological permanency that we have those features, it has nothing to do with society just like the fact that guys have more muscles as a biological feature. We have no advantage and women and girls have no disadvantage, girls and women have biological features that guys do not and will never have, it’s as simple as that.

Women and men are naturally different, men naturally are stronger physically but there is more to people than just physical strength,
Men all to often think themselves superior just because
they have physical strength but that strength was given to us not so that we could show off or be vain about it, but because we are meant to be protectors.
It has nothing to do with society,Also, just because a woman is made differently doesn’t make her inferior, she has her own strengths and gifts she has been blessed with that we men will never possess.
By the way you said people when they are babies are “weak, stupid and small” could you be any colder? Not trying to be rude, just an observation.

It’s funny how hard-coded our society is in all of us. I fully agree that a large part of the strength and muscular differences are societal, and no there are no scientific studies that prove that this isn’t true, simply because they have all been done in societies where girls are treated far differently from boys from the onset.
If we treated all girls and boys the EXACT same way in all regards for their entire lives then only the hormonal differences would cause a difference in strength, and I think this difference would be less than anyone thinks because of the picture societies have painted for the entirety of their lives.
The real fact of the matter is that we don’t know how much different they would be in a society where there are no gender roles and everyone is treated equally without any notice of their sex, and this type of society may never exist.
I do think most of the comments on this are sexist viewpoints, but they are also extremely understandible based on how biased everything in most human societies is.

yah i feel safe when a guy is strong especially a boyfriend then im protected. since guys are strong they can pick us up and carry us and its fun and its fun to play fight because they laugh at us and joke around and let us win to feel good girls will never be as strong or even close to being as strong as guys just because we dont have certain hormones and were not born like that so we should just have fun with being a girl. although some guys are scary the ones that actually mean to abuse girls with their strength but a lot of guys arent like that

Usually females hit puberty before males. Ever notice that alot of the time 12 year old girls are stronger than 12 year old boys? It’s because during puberty, the petuitary gland excretes certain hormones that make our bodies grow, adapt, etc (you know what i mean). One of those hormones is testosterone (yes even in females), which causes muscle development. So for a brief period of time, the average girl may become stronger than the average male. The fact is, when males hit puberty, they receive alot more testosterone secretions than females do, prompting more muscle develop. That is the genetic side of things, and THE MOST influential factor.
As for society, it plays a minimal role in why males are stronger than females physically (on average). The attractive male is one who is fit, muscular and well-shaped. The attractive female is fit, but not necessarily well-toned.
Doc
On November 3, 2008 at 10:14 am
Up to about age 12, the average strength of boys and girls is about equal. By age 13, the boys start pulling ahead, on average.
Equally important is that there is a tremendous strength range for both boys and girls. Up to 12, a strong girl is as strong as a strong boy, and stronger than most boys. By age 16, even the strongest girls struggle to match the weaker than average boys.
Girls can bridge this strength gap. A teenage girl who does strength training can more than double her strength, and that can make her stronger than those couch potato boys.

On December 2, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Gurl, you make some good points, but you also contradict yourself. First you say hormones don’t play a big role and then you say that testosterone makes male bone structure bigger and stronger. Its also generally believed that testosterone promotes bigger, stronger muscles, as well as aggression.
I know a girl who was stronger and tougher than just about any boy up through 6th-7th grade, and proud of it. She overpowered and beat up the toughest boys in her class in those days. But when boys started getting a lot bigger, they began to surpass her in strength and toughness too. So size is a big reason. Does that come from testosterone or male genetics?
The first boy her size to beat her did it by working out. If she had been working out as hard as him, she still might have owned him.

Well, in generaly the guys are stronger, But not always .
actually i work as personal trainer at fitness clup and i have tained guys who are being so fat they cant pick the wehght up as
fit girl or eather skinny.
ithink dependes how has got museles and power .
linda...... its unfair quasiton!!!!
On December 31, 2008 at 2:28 am
your quasiton is not clear and unfair! why you think all guys are stronger than us….how about body, musales, fat, fit or skinny ?
all of these can give you the result. let me tell you my previous story….when i was 1n my school 14 years old there was a guy had pain joke from classmate cause his sissy and extremmlly fat.
me i was small notty girl and thin. one day i pushed him to wrestil me, he didnt until our classmate pushed him, then he said bad word to me, i start kicking his legs then grappling his legs untill lost his balance to the floor. he got up from floor to fight me back, i hold his back strongly with my arms moving him untl he falled againe and he started crayig cause i make him fell pain or get more and knew i stronger. actually i shouldint done that but was in 2005.
So the answer is so clear .
….. the fit girl or skinny has got bones and more fast also hard body with some musles.
but the fat boy has got more lean mass oily and muchwight, unbalanced with wekar fat legs also back problem.
your quastion should : how are stronger girls or guys?and why? is it.

Hey me, if we’re talking boys and girls (not men and women), boys don’t get much of a hormonal advantage until they are about 13-14. An athletic girl that age or younger can be stronger, quicker and more coordinated than just about any boy her age. If she is aggressive enough to want to fight, she has a good chance of winning. And for kids in that age range, I don’t think boys necessarily hold back anything just because their opponent is a girl. I’ve seen boys use everything they have against a tough girl and still lose. I agree that By 15-16 it takes a pretty exceptional girl to beat the average boy though.

Your totally right. It only depends on society, motivation and interest that results in a girl’s strength. I’m so sick of all this discrimination and prejudice when your strength clearly depends on will power. So whenever people say something that discriminates us girls, I prove them wrong and knock some sense into their head by beating them at a game(along with my friends) like soccer, basketball etc.Since obviously a guy loosing to a girl(as most prejudiced people see it)is shameful to them, the only excuse to hide their shame is to agree.I wish more chicks will start believing in themselves rather than listening to what other people say.I strongly believe that both genders are equally gifted it’s in you to bring it out.

Joseph, you make a good point. There is a recent study that compared strength of athlete and non-athlete girls and boys. It found that boy athletes were the strongest and girl non-athletes were the weakest, just like most people expect. It also found that girl athletes were, on average, as strong as boy non-athletes. So conditioning is as important as hormones in determining who is stronger. Girls who get into good shape are not the weaker sex compared to couch potato boys. Its what a lot of us non-sexists knew all along.

I have been researching the different stages, speed and development in boys and girls. Evidence is given that during the boy’s middle teen age his muscle mass and strength will be increase. Tetosterone also plays a major role in the males feelings, agressiveness and thirst for getting attention.
The female hormones do not provide them with the same amount of strenth and energy that the male has. when the male reaches adolecence, his hormones change him more on the physical side whereas the girl mental side

This is absolute crap.
Males are stronger than females
a) because they have much higher levels of testosterone, which improves their muscle mass and strength
b) because they are, in general, bigger
Yes, a girl can become stronger than a guy through phsyical training, and I think you’ll find that many girls do actively participate in sports and exercise, it’s just generally not things like weighlifting which limits their ability to overtake males in strength.
Tim
On May 8, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Feminists why do you get so defensive about this topic? Men are on average are stronger than women! The average guy has higher lower and upper body strength than the average women.
Male athletes are stronger than female athletes. Male computer nerds are stronger than female computer nerds. Sure there are women stronger than men but there aren’t too many.
It is not society, it is biology. If a man and women train, the man will almost always be stronger. Accept it and move on.

Who ever wrote this article on google is clearly sexist. Guys are just as, if not more, lazy than girls. It may be true that guys are built with a heavier muscular and skeletal structure, but girls have, on average, a higher I.Q. and E.Q. Both were built with strengths and weaknesses it just so happens God built guys stronger and girls smarter. It’s just a fact. Also You people are all idiots. We are talking about one component here. PHYSICAL STRENGTH . In all out POWER girls have it mentally. Sure PHYSICAL STRENGTH was important, IN
3000 B.C.! Now people don’t settle things with fists. We use technology and intellect. Now there are female doctors, female generals , female police officers, just as many as guys. So any guy who has the GALL to say guys are more successful,
Check up on your history, You may be a few THOUSAND years behind. Or maybe your just too scared to see reality for what it is. WOMEN AND MEN ARE EQUAL. Fact is fact.
Artie
On May 17, 2009 at 10:28 am
Erika what fantasy world do you live in? There might be as many female doctors as men but most specialists are still men. Off couse that is changing and probably medicine will be female dominated in the coming decades. Science, engineering, and business is still male dominated and probably will continue to be male dominated.
There are not nearly as many female cops or military personel as men and there never will be. Police work is a physically labor intensive job and will always be dominated by men. Women cops are overwhelmingly (sp?) at a lower level physically than male cops.
Most studies state men have higher I.Q. than women. I.Q. does not mean much because it simply measures “potential” not actual achievement. Women tend to better in humanities and art subjects in school while men are better science and math. Off course there are many exceptions. Sure more women are in college than men but men far exceed women in all of the more prestigous fields such as science and engineering with health care being the exception.
No one gender is better than the other but to say across the board that women and men are equal is absurd. Men and women do different things well and complement each other to advance society.

Girls are as strong as guys per pound of lean bodyweight. Guys are generally stronger overall only because they are bigger and leaner. Find a big, strong, lean girl athlete, and she will be as strong as a boy her size.
Dorian.
On July 25, 2009 at 5:07 am
The writer of this article is clearly a sexist and an idiot, if a male and female both trained, the male will still remain superior due to the fact that men have larger bone structures, fuller and thicker muscle bellies and are overall stronger than females.
That doesn’t mean women are weak, women can still be very formidable when it comes to alot of things but anybody who is implying females are stronger than males is a complete and utter fool.
Its very simple, take the top male and top female bodybuilder(the ones on roids and HGH of course, in the olympia),(the mr olympia vs the ms olympia), the male would obviously win in a physical contest.
I believe that women are better than men in certain things like teaching, arts, humanities and some other stuff whereas men are more proficient and better in others. Both men and women have their strong and weak points.
Dorian
On July 25, 2009 at 11:31 pm
To “expert”.
What your saying is not making any sense at all, i have seen guys smaller than girls overpowering them when it comes to physical sports.
It is simply because a guy of the same size as girl A has thicker and fuller muscle bellies hence he is stronger l along with the fact that his bone structure is larger.
So no, girls are not stronger than guys per pound of lean body weight. You don’t even know the defination of “lean” and yet you call yourself an “expert”, lean simply means having low body fat i don’t see how that makes you stronger at all.
Guys are generally stronger than girls due to several factors and not because they are “overall larger”, hell there are women on this earth heavier and larger than people like ronnie coleman, arnold schwarzenegger and several body building champions but they could never dream of lifting even half the weight these guys bench and squat despite them being larger and heavier than them.
Your case holds absolutely no water at all.

because gender roles were evident in evolution. so we evolved this way.
ever hear about the man who was raised a woman because his sexual parts were messed up at birth? his family raised him as a girl but he did not feel comfortable in women’s clothes or female hobbies. he finally learned about his story and because of all the his trauma he killed himself.

women and men in general have different strong points.
so what? we aren’t living in caves anymore. does it really matter who is the physically stronger of the two. let me point out that SOME women are stronger than SOME men but in general men are built to do physical work more than women. that doesn’t mean women can’t do work, and it doesn’t mean that women are inferior. like i said, are we killing saber tooth tigers anymore? so being strong doesn’t really matter that much in today’s day to day life.

Dorian, don’t criticize others when you don’t know what you’re talking about. The concept of lean bodyweight is not about being lean. It means that if you look at anyone and subtract the weight of their bodyfat. Suppose someone weighs 100 pounds and 20 pounds of that is fat. Their lean bodyweight is 80 pounds.
If a girl has 100 pounds of lean bodyweight and a boy has 150 pounds of lean bodyweight, then for their strength per pound of lean bodyweight to be equal, the boy would be 1.5 times as strong as the girl. If the boy is less than that, the girl might be weaker over all, but still stronger per pound of lean bodyweight. If the boy is more than that he is stronger per pound of lean bodyweight.

Naturally guys are stronger than girls, its genetic. There are two main types of muscle fiber, slow and fast twitch. Fast twitch are for short bursts of energy and are associated with strength whereas slow twitch are for performing longer activities and are associated with endurance. Males are generally born with more fast twitch fibers making them, to a certain extent, more powerful, but more easily fatigued than females. However, there are always exceptions, and I’m sure there are a lot of girls who are very strong.

First of all, I am a girl, and I play volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I don\’t quit when I feel pain; that is one of the stereotypes I hate the most about girls. Second of all, you need to find real statistics, real studies to back up your claims. Girls hate to exercise? I love it. I find it extremely exhilarating to go on a good hard run in the morning. Thirdly, guys are stronger by genetics and testosterone. And yes, females are stronger and bigger in other species, but we\’re talking about humans and evolution. Girls don\’t just become bigger and stronger in the space of a lifetime; it take thousands of years and the need for females to become bigger and stronger for it to actually happen, even then. But the biggest problem is society\’s \’limitation\’ of what girls \’can\’ and \’cannot\’ do. It is not deemed good for women to go to war, yet they do it anyway. In the 1800\’s, women were not allowed to vote because it was thought that their opinion was not educationally based. Me, I am of the mind frame that anything a guy can do, I can do better. I am disgusted at this gender stereotype.

On March 12, 2010 at 1:51 pm
I believe most of the opinions here aren’t based on much. Fact is, if a girl wanted to be just as tough she would.
Women are dubbed feminine, probably because she has a curvy body and can produce children, something a man will never be able to do, by the way. Men are viewed as masculine, because he\’s generally more hefty and was meant to go out and hunt while the women took care of the children. It’s obviously not that way anymore, we don’t need to go out and hunt for our food, so a lot of gender roles have become blurred. Now both sexes have the opportunity to pursue things a man or woman weren’t “supposed to do” because we don’t have to focus on survival anymore. Yes, the stereotypes are still there, but I believe we are taking a step in the right direction.

- The theory your having is nature vs nurture, nurture is how your raised & nature is the natural way, through out your life your being nutured causing your personality also your interests, but nature on the other hand is how your internerly being raised like Hormones levels and such men are believed to have 26% more Hormones and they go to the mens build and growth and production(sperm)

On May 10, 2010 at 3:11 pm
I am sorry to say that overall, men have much greater strength potential than women. Testosterone plays a huge part in this. Yes, there are women that lift weights and can get very strong, but for most women their hormones are going to severely limit their strength gains. Here is a fact for you: most women don’t want to lift like they need to to get strong. Even then, given a man and women of the same weight, similar proportions, if they lift hard and eat a ton of food the man will be stronger.
Too many women think that if they lift weights they will get big bulky muscles, and this is frankly ridiculous, because 99% or more of women (or some high percentage) do not have the genetics and hormones for that to happen. They can get strong and ‘toned’ (you actually get more toned by lifting heavier weights by the way) but they aren’t going to look like a female bodybuilder unless they are really dedicated to a specific diet, and perhaps drugs.
I am also sorry to say this, but all this crap about gender roles being reversed is nonsense. In our species, the male is the physically dominant gender. That is why men were out hunting, etc. and women were nurturing, etc. That is not to say that women aren’t capable of hunting but they, as a whole, aren’t as capable. I am also not saying that men are superior in intellect, just putting that out there in case anyone brings that up.

I hope people are still reading this blog. People are srong to assume it is scientifcally proven that men are physically stronger than women. This is very outdated. IN FACT, many recent studies have scientifically proven the OPPOSITE, you folks that are held in old beliefs need to check RECENT STUDIES b4 going off on “Men are stronger than women”. The original writer of this blog was correct that much of the false myth is associated with society expectations. The FACT is that with all the growth hormones and GMO’s put into todays food sources (google Monsanto, environmental estrogens from plastic bottles, water sources, hormones in beef etc) BOYS TODAY HAVE A LESS PHYSICALLY STRONG SKELETAL SYSTEM than many girls. They are breaking their bones at an alarming rate. Doctors are oblivious, thinking “they are more active, climb trees etc) which is untrue. With our food sources tainted with for profits with GENTETIC ENGINEERING there are significant “endocrine distruptors” (substances that mimic the actions of hormones, specifically female hormones) This effects girls too, (boobs earlier, periods earlier, may become obese or just bigger stronger) But for boys, it is lowering their testosterone levels, throwing their endocrine systems out of whack, making their bones (and hence muscles since everything connected) more brittle and likey to break or tear. I have ssen this hjappening firsthand as I work with children. This is not a devaluation of masculinity. IT IS A HAPPENING THING. If you want to learn more, research the subject at the library, or goggle. One ggod book addressing this issue is “Boys Adrift” by Leonard Sax, M.D., Ph.D. This sceintifically proven phenonomen needs to be addressed in every facet of life, including the outdated (and gender discrimination) of todays Selective Service, based on old outdated beliefs. Yes, some men are still streonger than some women…..but the same in vise versa is becoming more and more apparent. It is not a “manly thing” to be so big and strong anyhow….one of leading reasons for higher rates of male sucide (expecations of society to be physically and emotionally stronger, hence inhumane) You see men taking steroids, pumping iron, killing themselves over this unfair notion

I can’t even believe what I’m reading. Obviously, you’re some ridiculous uneducated sexist piece of crap. Ever heard of hormones? Seems like whoever wrote this apparently is probably some retarded 10 year old.

Im getting damn tired of every one saying boys are stronger than girls!!!!! U boys are sssooo wrapped up in yourselves to realize girls are just as strong as u if not stronger. Besides, men are like trainalbe little puppies. I have yet to meet a couple where the woman doesn’t have the man wrapped around her finger. With a little work, we could have all of you ” strong ” men in our control.

well you say girls can’t take pain but girls have a much higher tolerance for pain than boys, look it up. this whole boys are stronger than girls thing is stupid, if its all fine and dandy to say that then why is it bad to say women are obviously smarter than men? women are in the army, are police officers, running marathons, its not a male dominated world anymore get over it

Okay, boys are stronger than girls, and that is a scientific fact that is this wonderful thing called “hormones”. As children, boys and girls are of about equal strength, but as they hit puberty, boys get progressively stronger than girls. I am a girl, and I can accept this fact. Back then, men were supposed to be the protecters, while women were the ones to care for children. Men will never give birth and women will not be stronger than women, and that’s just how it is. As for the pain thing? Well, it’s also a fact that women have a stronger pain tolerance than men do. This does not mean they are stronger than men. I think women and men are pretty equal as of I.Q. Women like to think they are smarter than men, which may to be true on certain levels but it is not a fact, and men can be smarter than women also, it really just depends on the person and how smart they want people to think they are and how much they apply themselves. Society and stereotypes are sad, as to how men and women are “supposed to be”, when we all have our differences. Nowadays, in America, people allow themselves to have different lifestyles and bad habits, simply because they can, and is why there are couch potatoes and morbidly obese people, which definetly affects people on a level of strength, which is why a woman can beat up a guy, although women typically don’t “fistfight” anyway. All of this is my opinion, and some of them are known facts, and I’m not trying to change anyone’s views; I am only stating my own. *End rant.

i kind of agree with some if the things you are saying
but i think that cheerleader comment and sport comment was said out of ignorance on your part, just hear me out, its not a bad thing
but cheer teams acctually do accept guys on their cheer teams its just that guys dont try out for those teams because they are embaressed
at my school a few of the football players joined the cheer team to stay in shape
and acctaully if you test a cheerleaders strength you will be amazed at what they are capable of doing
there are a few cheerleaders on my dance team and while they are thin, they are still very VERY strong(think of all the lifts they have to to do its harder than it looks)
and they are constantly training when it comes to acrobatics and such
and women can join guy sports BUT it is not as easy even if thw women is physically capable of playing with men
but thats just something i wanted to point out

You’re wrong. These differences are due to differences at the chromosomal level. To put it quite bluntly, this has nothing to do with society per say. Although it may involve society to an extent, the differences are biological for the greatest part.

I do know that males are more powerful than females by 60-80%. I do believe that our modern lifestyle affects our fitness. I believe if we lived more with nature and trained more,in some form(like farming even) we could be 30% more powerful on average. There is evidence that people thousands of years ago were more fit and could run at Olympic speeds. Howbeit, males are just meant to be powerful. I however want to break that. When I have a family, I want to train them where the females will be much stronger than men, hopefully inspiring them to train and increasing the average strength by 3 fold.

A lot of women think they are stronger then men. But these things are just stories for defense they say they’re better at sports which isn’t true. If you take all the world record. Men are winning at almost all of them: running, swimming, skying, jumping distances, arm wrestling, fighting, lifting weights, climbing and all the other staff. They may not beat girls at volleyball thought. Anyway you get the idea. I’m a boy and if I was a girl I would be really mad at some boys because they are acting very sexist.

“Equally important is that there is a tremendous strength range for both boys and girls. Up to 12, a strong girl is as strong as a strong boy, and stronger than most boys.”
- Wrong, girls and boys are equal at 12 and under.
“Usually females hit puberty before males. ”
- At the age of 12 girls aren’t stronger than boy idiot, boys and girls are pretty much equal in strength by then. Also, girls have a very tiny amount of testosterone, just as ,male have a tiny amount of estrogen(yes even in males). So no, there is no period where the average girl is stronger.
@peeznluv, that only affects a small amount of boys you idiot. Guys still generally have a much stronger skeletal system than girls, it’s just biology.
“This effects girls too, (boobs earlier, periods earlier, may become obese or just bigger stronger)”
- Are you a retard? Estrogen doesn’t make girls obese, bigger or stronger. If anything it would make them smaller, maybe fatter, and MUCH weaker.
But for boys, it is lowering their testosterone levels, throwing their endocrine systems out of whack, making their bones (and hence muscles since everything connected) more brittle and likey to break or tear.”
- Like I said, only affects a small amount of boys. And I’m pretty sure it would do the same thing to girls.
“Yes, some men are still streonger than some women…..but the same in vise versa is becoming more and more apparent. It is not a “manly thing” to be so big and strong anyhow”
- Wrong, men are GENERALLY stronger than women still. And you think the vice versa is becoming more prevalent? Not even close! Open your eyes and look at some real studies, women are still so much weaker than men(in general). Also, it is manly to be big and strong, it’s the biological nature of male you idiot.
“one of leading reasons for higher rates of male sucide (expecations of society to be physically and emotionally stronger, hence inhumane)”
- If you actually think that that’s the reason for male suicide you’re just blind. It’s not an expectation of society, it’s the biological system of human beings. Read a book(and one that’s not only good for making a fire.

Mingtian and others, look up the term Ecological Fallacy. It is wrong to assume that just because something is true in general, that it applies to every individual. In general, girls and boys are about equal in strength until age 12, but some girls are stronger than most girls and boys their age, as are some boys. From age 12, boys generally start pulling ahead in strength. Does this mean that all boys instantly become stronger than all girls? Of course not. It does mean that with each passing year, fewer girls are as strong as the average boy. At any age you like, some females are stronger than some males, regardless of what the average statistics are.
