Why are Trade Unions Above Reproach?
An diatribe on why is it not nice to speak ill of unions.
I was just watching a video on the computer(it won’t load my E’mail).A senator was comparing the recent attempt at renegotiation by Wisconsin to Hitler or Stalin.Why after all Stalin or Russia didn’t have Unions at no time did Ol’ Stalin allow any descent withis agenda.Hitler had them but he also had the Gestapo.
Granted Unions can sometimes do good.But they don’t mention in the dark days of w.w.2 that when our guys were desperate for ammo they didn’t let a little thing like that stop them from calling a strike.Also they fail to mention the innumerable murders and acts of violence they have commited in the coal feilds of Pennsylvania.Having broke out in the Oilfeild just out of High-School admittedly my experience with Unions is limited.
Limited to having a car come up out of the Barditch and chase us down.Attempting to run us off the road with pipes and ballbats.Because they lost a bid that was too high for half the work required.Of course being Yankees they did come out looking kind of silly(Bringing clubs to a Gunfight.).
I would guess that the protesters up there haven’t figured out that things are tough all over.While I sympathize with the firefighters more that the police some of the entitlements they get are downright silly.After all if a man doesn’t do his job why can’t you fire him without a long drawn out arbitration.
As far as the police go it seems that a lot of their unions like to use the ‘Blue Flu’ as a bargaining chip.In which case I believe that any losses incurred by the citizens(such as death or injury,especially when caused by an outright refusal to do their jobs.)should be born by the union.At the very least criminal charges should be able to be bought against the guilty party,Be it the cop on the street who takes his own sweet time in answering a call,or the union official who condones such abhorrent behavior.If you can’t figure out which one is guilty slap them all with it!
As I say I sympathize more with firefighters After all saving a life is one of the best highs a person can have.But like I say things are tough all over.When I hear of them and Paramedics using the ‘Blue Flu’ though I a lot of that sympathy.
Like when you read of union workers refusing to unload cargo because it’s Sunday and there’s a war on.Or refusing to pass the Ammunition to a guncrew because it ‘isn’t in their contract’.Unions are far from infallible in fact as we found out on a dark country road,they can,at times be downright criminal.
