Loving the Red, White, and Blue

Nationalism is the spirit and devotion to your nation.

Nationalism is sometimes referred to as patriotism. United States, United Kingdom and France have very good nationalism which means that the patrons do not question the government and often and believes what the government is doing is the correct path for the country. Leaders do not support or promote hyper-nationalist ideas. There is a limit of how much you love your country it can get to far were you would kill for your country and that is not supporting your government so in a way you are not being a nationalist.

An early example of nationalism was first demonstrated by the ancient Hebrews. The ancient Greeks also felt superior to all other peoples and moreover felt a sense of great loyalty to the political community.  These feeling of cultural superiority are known as nationalism in the present day society. During the nineteenth century nationalism was wide spread, during this time many areas expressed themselves causing national unification.

Sometimes leaders get too engulfed in nationalism such as Adolf Hitler. He made all of his patrons into hyper-nationalist that would do anything to please him causing a war. The United States of America is a very well balanced country but it has a ways to go.
