Astrology, is it a Science? Does It Work? Should We Use It?

Endless debate on Astrology: The debate on whether Astrology really works or not will go on for ever. It is an endless debate that goes on all over the world. The main reason for this is that Astrology does not have a  solid scientific base as of now. Astrology means “the study of science of stars” in Greek. But today we can define Astrology as an art supported by Astronomy. In general Astrology is a study of planets and their influences on human lives.

Can planets have an impact on human life?: Of course it is a bit difficult to believe that the planets that are millions of miles away from us can have impact on us. But Sun is also far away and we do feel the hot rays of the Sun, isn’t it? We are also aware of the impact of Moon on sea tides on Full moon and No moon days. Why can’t the rays of other planets such as Mars, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter affect our lives?

Birth chart(horoscope): As per Indian Vedic Astrology the exact time of birth determines your life. At the time of birth (the minute the baby comes out) nine important planets emit their rays on it and the baby’s while life is destined at that moment itself. In other words if Jupiter is in a favorite position at the time of birth, the native will enjoy the benefits of the planet Jupiter.  Let me make it simpler. Saturn is the planet that determines the life span of every human. If Saturn is in a good position at the time of your birth, you will live long. If Mercury is in a good position, you will be good at some art, say music, dance, writing and so on.

Astrology is a complicated subject:  In my opinion Astrology is a vast and complicated subject. It is not easy to master it in a lifetime. Ancient Indian Astrologers like Agasthiya could make 100% correct predictions that time. But today, no body even the world’s best Astrologer can give 100% correct predictions. That does not mean Astrology is wrong. The present astrologers are not perfect.

Astrology deserves extensive research: Astrology is taught as a subject in many Universities in several countries including developed country like the USA. In my opinion this subject deserves vast research.

Why do people use Astrology? Man always wants to know about his future. Every one wants to know whether they and their dear ones will have good health, long life, big money and fame in future. Some people use it just for fun.

Astrology, a crap?:  It’s just a crap to some people. They have all the rights to call it so, after studying it fully- But most times they simply tag it as crap without knowing anything about the subject. They all are strong believers of God. Who has scientific evidence for the existence of God? Yet, we can feel the existence of God in our lives. No body can ignore the accurate predictions of Nostradamus.

How to use Astrology: It is important to consult the right Astrologer. There are too many fake Astrologers who simply predict blindly. Remember even the best Astrologer can’t be 100% correct. Today you can use Astrology to some extent and get some benefits. If Astrologer predicts you good time for the next two years, you can take a few risks in business during this time. If you have bad time for the next one year you can be careful  during that period.  You can use lucky colors, gem stones to enhance your luck and so on. But you should not make important decisions based only on Astrology as we can never be sure of its results. In short you can use it as a guide.

Summary: Astrology is a great art that needs an extensive research. Astrology never fails, Astrologers that do often. Today we don’t have an Astrologer who can give 100% correct predictions. You can use Astrology with some limitations. Astrology may not be a science but definitely not a crap. I know some of thee,  readers will disagree with me. Thanks for reading.
