There are many ways in which we can experience meditation. There is the waking meditation and then there is the quiet contemplated form of meditation, both which work equally well. One must be aware that to experience the most out of meditation and lifestyle of purity must be practiced. Without purity in ones life, the energy of the mind cannot be harnessed and transformed into a powerful medium.
In this article we will look at common techniques in the advantages of meditation. The first set of techniques that we will discuss involved the quiet contemplated meditation practice. Some techniques that work very well in this type of meditation, as previously discussed are the mudras and mantras. What each of these practices are, are details as follows. What mudras are, are powerful hand position that help you channel energy in and throughout your body. Each chakra that you meditate on has a different hand position that helps you channel energy in and out of that charka. These hand positions allow you to focus on each energy center in your body more effectively and keep you concentrated. These hand positions also help prevent your mind from wandering and form a disciplined meditative practice.
The mantras are a bit different but are not any less effective than the mudras. What the mantras are, are sounds or vibrations that are experience during meditation to help an individual open up different channels in the chakras and help to transcend different realities and different heavens. They are vibrations that match the tone of many of the different planes that exist in meditation. This author can also testify to the fact that these mantras are extremely beneficial for experiencing transcended states and altered realities which lead to inner gateways to other planes. One such experience was experienced while meditation to Buddhist mantras on a CD player. Upon hearing one of the loudest mantras while deep in meditation, a gateway in the heart chakra was opened and the kundalini/satori experience was initiated causing a pulsating energy to flow through the energy body.
All of these practices are extremely beneficial and are great motivators in exploring the advantages of meditation.
