Decode Your Dreams
Everybody dreams, even if they don’t remember them afterward. But, what do your dreams mean? Are they trying to tell you something?
Did you know that in the average lifetime we spend around six years dreaming? That is a lot of time spend in dreamland. Websters Dictionary describes dreams as a ’sequence of sensations, images, thoughts, etc passing through a sleeping person’s mind.’ If we can figure out what our dreams mean, they can help us interpret what is going on in our day to day lives and can help us some up with solutions to our problems.
Here are some of the more common dreams and their meanings:
Falling
Dreaming that we are falling is a very common theme. Many people believe that if you do not wake before hitting the ground you will die, but there is no evidence for this.
Falling is a sign of insecurities, anxiety and instabilities in your waking life. Whether it relates to your relationship, your work or another area, you feel out of control of something.

Chased
Dreaming that you are being chased by something or someone is also very common and this too can be an indication of insecurities.
Running is an instinct when confronted by fear or another unpleasant situation, maybe the dream reflects something in real life which you are trying to escape?

Naked
Another common dream theme, is that you are going about your everyday business – maybe a meeting at work or waiting for a bus, then you look down and you’re naked!
This type of dream could mean that you are trying to be something you’re not – using the clothes to conceal the real you; if you are not bothered by your nudity, then you are completely at ease and comfortable with yourself.
Test
Dreaming about taking a test shows that you feel you are being scrutinised and are usually concerned with lack of confidence or self esteem, especially if you fail the test for some reason.

Flying
Dreams where you are flying are classed as lucid dreams – where the dreamer knows that he/she is dreaming.
If you fly with ease and enjoy the experience it suggests that you are on top of things in your waking life. If however, you struggle to stay on track in your flight, it suggests the opposite: that you feel you are having difficulties in controlling your circumstances.
