Flow with the Stream of Well Being Meditation
Practice this meditation and discover peace and well being. There is only a stream of well being, happiness, success and joy. Are you resisting or going with the flow?
The work is hard and your muscles ache, your head is swirling with so many conflicting thoughts.
“How did I get here”, “what’s going on”? , you are thinking.
You are finally so weary that you just have to put the oars down and rest a moment. Amidst the turmoil in your mind you see out of the corner of your eye another sign on the stream bank.
“Stream of Well Being”, it says. Ah, you think. There is only a stream of well being. I am resisting, that is why it feels so hard. I have taken up my oars and begun trying to move upstream because I chose the contrast that I didn’t want simply by paying so much attention to it.
As you rest for a moment you once again begin moving gently downstream in your canoe. You feel the ease and restfulness of the movement. As you allow yourself to pay attention to what you do want you begin seeing signs along the bank saying, “Health”, “Prosperity”, “Joy”.
As you look at Health, you realize how good you feel.
You think of all the things you can do in your beautiful, healthy body. Walking, running, jumping, hugging, laughing, playing.
“Yes”, you say, I do enjoy this.
You think of prosperity and realize again how good it feels to think on the many avenues of prosperity.
Visions of good food, nice car, lovely and comfortable home dance about your imagination. You see yourself in a job that feels satisfying and fun to you.
“Yes”, you say, I do enjoy this.
As you continue to think about these things you feel happy and joy floods the cells of your body. Each cell dances and celebrates in well being. Body functions are easy and perfect. Regeneration is steady and life force moves readily and consistently through all aspects of your being.
You are aware, you are conscious of how the stream of well being works in your life. You know that there is only a stream of well being, you know it is your birth right, you know that as long as your attention is on well being, it is the only thing that you will experience.
As you move downstream and notice contrast, they serve to help you become more detailed in what you wish to experience. You don’t linger on what you don’t want. You thank it for the information it brings you as you shift gently over to the choice you wish to experience.
Now and again you notice others in the stream, also in a canoe or boat. Some are flowing easily and joyfully. You also notice that some have their oars out and are frantically rowing against the current. You notice the sweat on their brow, the heaviness of their countenance. Some call out to you, “Look, there is war, poverty and sickness”. “Join me so that we can over come these horrible things”.
You remember how it felt when you paddled against the current of well being. Knowing that there is only a stream of well being, you thank them and continue on your way. You pay no attention to their words floating to you as you move away.
You know that each person has to choose their own experiences. All is well, all is perfect. You are not here to fix anyone or anything. You are here to enjoy your life experience and make choices in line with your feeling good.
You embrace contrast as it helps you define what it is that you really want and you move gently and easily down the stream of well being.
