How to Meditate

Useful tips to meditation. Meditation is very effective in minimizing stress in life.

Lately, I had been hooked at meditation and I find it really good in my self-improvement. It helped me relaxed and I can focus and do quicker decision making. Before I tell you about my way of meditation, I’d like to let you know that problems, anxieties, fears, worries are only in our mind. You can help yourself eliminate it when you know how to calm yourself by forming a habit. To form a habit you need at least 21 days or 3 weeks of repetitive actions.

How to meditate are divided in these steps:

  1. Go to a silent, private room free from outside disturbance. All of those things can wait for you, but taking this relaxing time for yourself is worth your time.
  2. When you find that place, you can sit down with cross legs, lie down or sit in a chair and listening to a soothing sea waves or breeze type of music with no one singing. I suggest this kind of music than instrumental ones, meditation music can help your sub-conscious think that you are really facing a sea or you’re in a very green forest with an amazing, sparkling, warm sun shine.
  3. Guided meditation that you can download for free online is very useful too especially if you cannot focus or do it alone. Just browse for free guided meditation audio, there are lots.
  4. Relax your shoulder, your eye muscles, and your forehead muscles, you other muscles and just blank your brain. Breath deeply by breathing by your diaphragm and when you exhale let go of the tightness in your muscles. Try to think of golden chest where you place all your worries, your responsibilities and things that kept you stressed including fatigue. Blanking your brain makes you focus more because it eases your nerves from tensed motions that keeps you stressed
  5.  Continue focusing on blanking your brain, let go of the tightness of your muscles and go with the flow of the music. If thoughts arise, try to put it inside the golden chest. This should take around 20 – 30 minutes. But again, this is worth of your time.
  6.  After 20 – 30 minutes, if you feel that you are sleepy, lie down and relax. Don’t forget to drink water afterwards.

Really intresting thanks a lot for the article! i did guided meditation once and i ave done self meditation a couple of times since then. I never had a problem finding the right place because i could blank my mind even if there were people near and i had my ipod so that helped block them out. My problem was always the music i never thought of downloading meditation music i always used trance ( i like trance) i find it very helpful to zone out but i will try the meditation music! Thanks again!
