If There Would be Reincarnation, Which Gender Would You Like to be?

Though we all were born into the world without being told let alone have the decision to appear as male or female or even something else. If we are privileged, our answers would either be male or female based on your reasons.

I am not trying to tempt anybody reading this right now but I have my reasons for my writing. In my several personal chats with friends and people around me, there are several views about gender, male or female but I feel it’s not enough to satisfy me. Thus, I now through it open to you and would like you to air your views as regards to this topic.

By reincarnation, I mean natural re-birth or coming back to life after death through birth. At this juncture, and point blank it is void and unreal to many of us including me. But let’s still consider our capabilities, status, challenges and constraints among the gender class and try to consider which gender would be perfect for our being.

For instance, many men would prefer being men while some would consider being ladies but for somebody like me, I will settle at being what I am. At the point of my writing this, Ezinne my immediate sister has this to say: “Wahala for women, I would like to a man if there is a second chance”. In another interview with my aunty, she said: “I prefer being a man than woman”. On the side of men, John prefers being a woman reason because he would like to nurse babies. That’s sound so funny.

In conclusion to this discussion, I sincerely want to believe that we are specially made the creator for a specific duty. One male and the other female but all were born to fit into the system and all working for the good of the society. Despite certain claims by people and mostly scholars, it should be admitted that both male and female are created equal and thus no gender is greater than the other. They are all same and equal in their respective roles. The power is beyond our control to choose whether to be male or female or even hybrid.

An interesting read. Many are not aware of thi fact and therefore, end up quarreling saying one gender is superior than the other. I would love to be born as Mother Teresa.

I’d come back as a fish, that way I could definitely give up smoking…..unless I was a flying fish of course, that carried it’s cigarettes and lighter in a plastic bag….well, you’d never see a flying fish rolling their own, that’s for sure…

Neither! I like to be a fish also. A tropical fish. I always wanted to know how the world was like beneath the sea.

I have distant memories of being both sexes and I think I would choose to be male next time around. The role of female is a little tiresome to me right now.

I would like to come back like I am now-a woman. I’m a creative person and I think sometimes men are limited in how much of themselves they can express in how they dress, or act.

I would like to come back as a man only because I don’t want to have to deal with some of these female issues. Great article.

An interesting article.I agree one needs to know their purpose in life and work to fulfill it,regardless of gender as a human..I would definitely accept whatever I may be back as but would surely prefer being a girl as it has been lovely being a girl so far :-)

I believe in reincarnation and think I have lived many lives here and am sure I’ve been both male and female. When the time comes to choose again, I’ll know which will be best. Right now I’m happy as a man.

Being a woman is intriguing, of course you can deal with things whether in doubt and despite the never ending search you can approach life with a period. I mean literally speaking, lol.

One original article. I have to say, being a woman is fun. The only things that bother me are periods and that the risk of getting pregnant no matter how well you use proetection. Other than out, women rock! Plus, I like men. Il ike men enough to be with them, not to be one of them;)

Very interesting article!. I like being a man, however, whatever Karma Law that applies to reincarnation I would hopefully like to be in the appropriate body and sex for whatever new life brings the next time around. I agree with what Hepsi.M said in that (you or your soul) ” needs to know their purpose in life” and it will pick for you.

Definitely as a woman. As a man, I would love to experience being a woman, no question. Would love to experience child birth, something I can never do as a man.
