Inhumane Human

Some human beings do not have that kind of kindness which the animals show towards their “co-animals”. The solution lies in tuning our minds, developing love, kindness, etc.

Recently, when I was waiting at a railway station to catch a train to reach my residence, I observed one humane animal.  Yes, a stray dog saved the life of one goat.  The incident was that the goat was just ‘grazing’ whatever edible available on the ground in between the two rails (which were situated in between the platforms on either side).  The ‘clever’ (then I did not know) dog was just standing on the other side of the platform.  Sometime later, the train was slowly entering into the railway station and the goat was just before the train (of course some distant apart) busy with eating, not knowing the entry of the train.  On seeing this, the dog came running near the dog and started barking as if to draw the attention of the goat to try for an escape.  The passengers also tried to drive the goat, not with that much seriousness, I should say, as the dog did.  At last, the driver slowed the train and the goat ran for about 200 hundred meters in between the platforms to get its narrow escape from its death.

In another incident, when was about to get into my car, one goat was making all sorts of bleating and running around the car.  When my driver, just started the engine, to our surprise we saw a puppy, taking rest under the car, near the wheel, which none of us noticed, came fast out.  In the earlier incident, a dog saved a goat.  In the later incident, the goat saved a pup.  (These two places were 100 kilo meters apart.)

Pet animals with five senses, which are supposed of not having any rationale in them, saved their fraternity, though of a different flock.

Another,  more or less, similar incident that I read in a news item was that an elephant in a jungle gave birth to her young calf, unfortunately to its dismay, the calf was still born.  Sensing this, the mammal actually cried and ran around the surroundings, trumpeting loudly as if to seek the help of someone from its herd.  It cried for many hours, around the dead calf.  Then, the parade of elephants came, ‘consoled’ the bereaved beast and took it with them into the forest.

We would have already heard news or photos in the news clipping where a cat feeding the cubs (young ones of tigers).

This is all about the animals.  Turning our views, in the light of the above circumstances, to the mankind, one has to spot some sorrow state of affairs.  When you go through the media reports, it pains us to see that man turning out to be cannibals i.e. a human being killing his or her own breed (leave alone the ethnic violence), still more heartless happening is that a person killing his own blood relative.  Blood is becoming “thinner” than water.  We fail to apply the sixth sense, which the living beings, supposed to be not possessing, have started applying and stand before us as a solid example. Let us emulate the examples from them.

The solution lies in the following:

Do meditation and tame your mind to be kind to one and all

Do not develop hatred towards any one.

Embrace a spiritual life (for this one need not a saint)

Understand the purpose of your ‘incarnation’ into this world and totally surrender to the super natural power.
