Kriya
A Spiritual Yoga Experience.
People seeking a deeper spiritual meaning in their lives have found Kriya Yoga. Yogananda brought Kriya Yoga to the West in the 1920s. He established the Self-Realization Fellowship yoga as a total experience that addressed the spiritual and the physical, most of all disciplines of yoga are concentrated in the west.
A Kriya yogi, as described by Yogananda, mental moves the energy of life around the six spinal centers – the medullary plexus dorsal, lumbar, coccygeal, cervical and sacral. These refer to each of the twelve signs of the zodiac. This revolution of the subtle energy that moves its evolution, and it is said that 30 seconds of Kriya equals one year of natural spiritual growth.
Kriya yoga is based on Kundalini yoga asana and includes similar and the methods of meditation. Kriya adds some spiritual guidance and esoteric. That has its detractors who say Kriya does not maintain its power comes from within, but you need a teacher or guru, to release their spirituality. Though it sounds like an admirable goal, Kriya attempt to remove the obstacles posed the question, are the obstacles that exist for a reason? Is the guru of the right person to decide when and how to remove them? It is very important to get into Kriya Yoga with a strong sense of self. Never allow anyone to hijack their self-determination!
Kriya Yoga advocates believe they can achieve self-realization faster by combining three methods of yoga as well:
1. Karma yoga focuses on the movement of the soul, both worldwide and domestic activities of the mind.
2. Bhakti yoga aims to achieve peace with all aspects of their lives through the power of love. It is often said that “unity with all creation and the cosmic consciousness.”
3. Jnana Yoga refers to the intellectual discipline that leads to wisdom gained in spiritual knowledge giving freedom of the mind.
Thus, Kriya joins the three in a single discipline. Emphasizes the relationship between breath and mind. The breath control is self control. Domain breathing is self-control.
Preparation is the first step in Kriya Yoga. The body is prepared with a Hatha yoga workout. For beginners or the less flexible, provides other alternative preparation routines.
Mind the preparation comes next. Here you focus your mind through the study of general conduct, the analysis of their overall health, cleanliness and purity. You can even study their relationship to certain metaphysical principles. These studies of reflection helps prepare the mind for later techniques intended to refine and improve the nervous system.
Mantras are taught in Kriya meditation in order to adjust the body and mind to a single frequency. Once again, critics say, be careful that you are the selector of the destination and your mind is not being controlled by another, even trust of others.
Although one of a handful of routes most controversial yoga, Kriya Yoga has helped many reach spiritual levels could not achieve with other methods. You may be right for you, but go into it with eyes open and active protection.
