Meditation and Yoga
In this fast paced world when nothing is going to give the peace of mind, one need to practice the ancient art of meditation.
It has now been admitted by psychologists’ world over that meditation is very important to bring calmness of mind, to gain immense concentration. Meditation is the bridge that connects man to God, man to his eternal self. Only meditation can pop oneself out of self imposed ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of all suffering and if we can win the battle against ignorance we will definitely succeed in bringing the peace and bliss in the mind.
The uncontrolled mind
Does not guess that soul is present
How can it meditate?
Without meditation, where is peace?
Without peace, where is happiness?

The general principle of meditation is to get a hold on the mind. Meditation makes us aware of the internal power that we possess. No one can say that he has seen the God. Yet, in the name of God, the highest numbers of people have been killed. We just want to continue what our forefathers did. Meditation took us to the God. We need not believe in the God unless we have seen him. Want to see him, have meditation.
The first step towards meditation is ability to control the unconscious mind. The next is to go beyond the conscious. The practice of self-concentration will make us to gain both steps. The actual process is not so simple, though. Self concentration is quite tough and one needs to learn the art of YOGA to achieve this. Start with short duration. Whenever, you get time, but preferably in the morning, sit in a lonely place and concentrate your mind on anything, yes on anything. Try to forget everything, deep focus will take you on a different world. Do not practice when you are not well, when the mind is very miserable and sorrowful. However, you will be able to control these negative vibrations very easily.

Hi, Thanks a lot for the information, I love to try yoga too.One thing to be true is no one can see God. If you see God in your mind I believe it’s not God. HE is a mystery to human being.

I know that yoga has had a lot of benefits. Two of my uncles managed to successfully reduce weight as well with it! Meditation is probably the best way to calm the soul. I don’t think it is a connectionwith God, that would be praying, but I do think that meditation helps to cleanse the mind a bit. Good informative article!
