Out-of-Box Thinking
It’s just a reminder of what we tend to forget every time. The things we neglect or ignore, the very thing that we should always remember to live a calm life.
Many times I wondered what keeps us busy all the time. Is it job? Or is it our career? Or the responsibilities attached with both. Whatever it may be, it has made us loose something that’s we didn’t want to loose. A calm life, a life of togetherness and joys. I don’t know whether the very definition of “calm life” has changed for everyone but it certainly hasn’t changed for me.
It seems like we are keeping up pace with this fast moving world or we have become an integral part of this non stop world. It feels like we are carrying this world along with us, but deep inside a certain type of loneliness is creeping up. It’s not exactly a feeling of loneliness; it’s a question that we frequently ask ourselves. Am I satisfied? Or putting it more appropriately Am I happy with myself? Every individual asks this question to themselves throughout the life.
What’s the answer we get or rather what’s the answer we expect. “Yes I am happy”. Keeping aside all the other factors such as family and career, just as an individual are we happy within ourselves? If we are really happy then our family life and our much concerned career will be perfect.
This faster world consumes more than it what it gives. What does it give us? Nothing but some monetary benefits along with some real work pressures, tensions and sleepless nights. And what does it take “Our whole Life”. We work all along the day and sometimes end up working all through the night. Where do we live? In what time we live or where is the time to live? Ya, may be in weekends. Why life has become so dependent on weekends? And why weekdays became a symbol of non living, hectic schedules, work etc. “There’s a release on this Sunday and you should be available for presentation” your boss conveys. There goes a weekend. And slowly you tend to think “this weekend it’s going to be hell”.
“Hell” it used to be an afterlife concept long ago, but now it has become a day to day entity. Words like “Heaven” and “Hell” have lost their internal meanings. I remember my grandma used to tell “we need to be a good person from heart and do good things to get to heaven after life and if we don’t we will end up in hell”. But today we tell her “grandma heaven and hell are here itself. Even if we do good things, work hard we will still end up in hell”. We are so much binded to things that we tend to forget how to live happily. Ya it’s true “Its Kalyuga now”. We resigned from a life where we lived, to join a life where we search for time to live”. Am I right?
