Ramkrishna Paramahamsa: The Great Spiritual Man of India
He was the first foremost spiritual man of India.
Ramakrishna paramahamsa was believed as incarnation of God by many of his followers. His religious school famous as ‘Ramsrishna mission’. Ramakrishnaa born in Feb18, 1836. He died in 16Th August 1886 (50 years). He was born in poor Brahman family in west Bengal. His original name was Gangadhar Chattopadhyay. He was priest of Kali temple. He was too attached with goddess Kali. He wanted to talk with Godless. As per his biography, he did hard dedicated Bhakti to reach Goddess Kali. Not only in Hindi religion, he also believed in other religion like Islam and Christianity and said that all this religion goes to same God. He played major role in reformation of West-Bengal’s society. His speech is still revered by the Indian. Even though he wasn’t so educated but intelligent people and some middle class people ware attracted to him because of his spirituality. He became Holy-man. He had powerful knowledge about Vedanta and Purana like Ramayana, Mahabharata,Bhagavata Geeta etc.

When Ramakrishna was worshipping the deity Bhavatarini, he had lot of question about deity that it was a piece of stone or a living Goddess. He always thinking about this topic and he disturbed so much. He prayed to Goddess Kali for giving ‘Darshan’ to him. One day he lost his patient and wanted to see Mother Kali. Because of that, he decided to end his life. He took a sword, and just going to kill himself he saw a light coming from the deity of Mother Kali in waves. He is believed that he overwhelmed by the waves and fell down on the floor and became unconscious. Ramakrishna prayed to Goddess Kali for more religious experiences and he is believed to have experienced number of them.

honestly this is the first time i’ve heard of him and he seems to be a great man in his time. this is very informative knowing someone great from the past.
