Soul Rescue
The journey to the realization that your path is that of a soul rescuer.
The myths and religions of most peoples throughout history have some beliefs set aside for demons, goblins and other spirit beings which they conceive of as animate…whether they are benevolent and harmless or dangerous, requiring placation. All kinds of natural phenomena, including sickness and death, are attributed to beings such as these and in many magical rites; man invokes spiritual powers against his enemies so that good spirits are summoned to drive out the demons.
In order to undertake soul rescue, the novice needs to be acutely aware of the physical, mental and spiritual demands that will be made on them. To be able to release spirits or dark forces with success, there must be a deep awareness of the two realities, those being the world of spirit and the conscious reality of the physical dimensions. The rescuer must have a good understanding of their own inner spirit, separate from the physical world and in achieving this, soul rescuers increasingly become aware of their own limitations in the human domain as opposed to their spiritual strengths which can be called upon to see them through this work.
Generally, during a rescuers life, there will be some definable moment at which a person makes a conscious decision to enter into this work and recognise their abilities. Some people are born with their gifts already well defined and if the world does not disrupt their relationship with these gifts, they will continue into adulthood with a clear channel. Unfortunately however, these gifts are often stifled and as a result, as we grow older and mature, many of us keep this secret world to ourselves, becoming less vocal about our perceptions so that they are often lost or forgotten. The lucky ones find teachers, soul mates and opportunities to resurrect and use their gifts of communication and the rest of us just let our abilities fall by the wayside.
In folklore, there is a belief that children born during the hour after midnight, at twilight or at dawn have the privileged gift of seeing spirits. Among tribal traditions it is believed that spirits are visible to some people and not to others and many tribal elders can even tell before a child is born whether or not they have the gift as according to folklore these children are often carrying a hereditary gift which sometimes misses a generation.
People who develop their gifts as a psychic later in life, often seem to have had imaginary friends during their childhood. Other psychics, healers, shamans and witchdoctors come to their profession through the guidance and teachings of their families. Natural born psychics do not always begin their “sight” in childhood; some start during puberty, depending on their environment and the triggering of cellular memory during which time such gifts can be awakened.
