Is it being over commercialised?

Is Spirituality and Commercialism becoming inter-wined?

I believe that to many so called spiritualist are really becoming Commercial Salespeople hocking their talents to anyone who will pay their $50 plus for their services!

I would like to see more of these people, just practise their talents, and allow the receiver of their talent, make up their own mind what that service is or was worth to them.  Why? because of the goodwill that this practise would develop, and it would encourage more people to at least try it out!!  What have they to lose, $5.00 or $10.00 or whatever they felt this particularly talent was worth to them!

It would also make the practitioner more likely to explain, better, and more descriptive as to what their particular talents are?  As many people go along, not really know what to expect?? so how can they possibly know what value this treatment has been to them??

The other side of the coin, is that the practitioners will have more people lining up for their treatment, as they will know that it will be explained and it will not cost an arm and a leg, if they do not experience any positive reaction after a session/treatment.  This will actually be better for the practitioner and the patient, as they will not both be wasting their time!

So how about it, Practitioners of Reiki, Bowens Therapy, and other more updated methods of getting the balance of spirituality, humane nature, behaviour and tolerance of the humane body.

These are my opinions only, I have not facts to back them up, but my gut feelings on this subject.
