The Wheel of Life
Cycles are present in every aspect of our lives, both personally and collectively. They give us an opportunity for reflection on all that we have achieved in the past year as well as marking those important occasions in life. They sign post the transitions from birth to childhood, to young adulthood, to middle age and then onto old age ending with death, and in time, rebirth as the whole process repeats itself once more.

I am so grateful to be living in a country that expresses the seasons in their full contrasting beauty. Each week as we walk through the park and woodland awestruck at the new changes that have come about; the bare black branches become tightly curled buds, slowly unfurling into frothy blossoms floating down like confetti over us, the next week all gone and sparking zesty green leaves take their place, in time turning golden and curling and falling down around us again forming a russet carpet beneath our feet.

Spring by Raine Hilton – The Good Vibes Girl
As each spring time comes around I look back at how I have changed, all I have achieved over the previous year, learning and growing with each new cycle of the year. I can look back at events a year ago that worried me silly but now with the grace of time seem so small and insignificant. Change is always good, even when it doesn’t seem that way at the time, but with a breathing space, and a greater sense of perspective, suddenly in the scheme of the bigger picture everything makes sense and all is happening as it should in this rich tapestry of life.

Summer by Raine Hilton – The Good vibes Girl
A few years ago while I was studying past life regression the whole birth-death-rebirth cycle really made an impact on me. I investigated many of my past lives and in doing so discovered many repetitive cycles I had become trapped into. I came up against repeated cycles of behaviour, circumstances, even situations with the very same people. I realised why certain people in my life this time around found it very easy to “push my buttons” and others that I was instantly drawn to and felt I had known forever in a very short space of time. The memories that I relived were so vivid that when I look back on them now they have become an extension of this lifetime, almost like looking back through a very large photo album. This insight has given me a new perspective, a new way of interacting with family members and friends. I found that in altering my attitude they in turn unconsciously began seeing me with new eyes.

One amusing anecdote was as a child my mother was very fond of saying how easy it is for children nowadays, how lucky they are, as she had been a war baby. During past life regression I discovered that while she had been curled up asleep in her pram, I had been over in France fighting to keep her safe! Strange to think that while she is still down here on this lifetime I am here again for the second time; funnily enough my husband and three children were also in France with me. We forged such a powerful bond under those stressful times, this I believe is the reason we are such a strong family unit now.

Fascinating article Raine, thank you … I was very close to my brother and was once told I probably shared another life with him where we would have been close then too. Very enjoyable read.

Very interesting and written for lay folks. It must be that everyone is not capable of achieving past life regression in a cognitive form assuming its within us all.

I like your article, few people would carefully give attention however, unless they have a bit of everything from yoga, theosophy, comparative religions, etc. You’re literally a candle in the dark.
