Tree of Life Meditation
Discover your inner secrets by trying this mini meditation exercise. Have fun, you maybe surprised at what you find out about yourself.
For maximum effect it is generally a good idea to record this mini script on to a voice recorder and play it out load.
Begin by making yourself comfortable and when your ready, allow your eyes to close.
Take a deep breath, hold it and then slowly exhale.
Begin to think of the word ‘relaxation’ think about this word like you never have before.
Then when your ready allow yourself to go on a very peaceful journey, a journey full of relaxation.
It’s a relaxation that will take over your entire body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Its a relaxation that will soothe you and open you to wonders about yourself.
Now focus on your breathing. Become aware of the rise and fall of your rib cage, just concentrate on your breathing, notice the in and out movements, as you begin to let all your tension go. Let it go, and feel how your body becomes limp and loose as you breath in and out, slowly and steadily. (continue for 5mins)
Before imagining you are at the top of a tall golden staircase, feel your hand upon the rail and prepare to descend, know that as you descend you will relax ten times deeper with each step down.
Begin to descend, knowing that as you do, you will relax with each step down, just relax and let go. Just let go as you go deeper and deeper down the golden staircase, notice how your feet float above each step, as you gently float deeper down, deeper and deeper down, all the way down, becoming more and more relaxed, the most relaxed you have ever been.
Remember, with greater relaxation comes greater freedom, freedom that opens you to wondrous things.
Now as you reach the bottom, you will notice you are now in a beautiful meadow, it is fresh and green. There are wildflowers everywhere you look and right in the center is a beautiful giant oak tree.
This oak tree is huge and has massive green leaved brances, brances so big they stretch, right up to the sky, past the clouds, right up into the heavens above. It’s so beautiful.
So beautiful you can feel yourself being drawn closer and closer, allow yourself to float freely over to the tree, this beautiful tree, your tree, your tree of life, float closer and closer until eventually you can touch the tree.
Feel the tree, go ahead, feel the bark, notice how it feels, as you become familar with your tree, your tree of life.
Now look closely at the tree, your tree, and watch as a small door begins to appear at the base of the tree, a door that will lead you to the core, the center of your being, your being where your past, present and future buds are stored.
Focus upon the door as it appears and when your ready, ask the door to open, then watch as it swings slowly outward, inviting you to step inside, step inside your tree of life.
Inside notice how the gold and blue light greets you, this light heals you, soothes you, welcomes you, welcomes you into the centre of your very being, your being, your inner being where all your memories are held, that part of you that holds all your deepest, most valuable memories.
Perhaps, you can imagine your memories to be like artifacts or sculptures, whatever, you imagine your memories to be, will be right for you.
Now look around and notice how there is something here from every part of your life, past, present or future.
Notice how peaceful and calm you feel here, how easily you can move around and become acquainted with inner self, that deep part of you.
Go ahead and explore that inner you, learn, discover, touch, feel or see. Get reacquainted with yourself again, that deep inner you, ask yourself what you need to learn, discover, go ahead, remember all valuable information that will help you with your problem, issue or situation in your present.
Notice and remember every detail, explore your inner self, feel the gold and blue light heal you as you continue to explore, making you stronger and stronger, more focused, more secure, healing you of old emotions, hurts or physical pains.
Float in the moment for approximately ten minutes or longer if you so wish, and then when you are ready begin to make your way back to the door, taking with you all the different positive feelings you have rediscovered.
Then when you are ready, open the door of your tree of life and bring back all of your learnings as you enter back into the room, feeling at peace with yourself, whole and relaxed.
