What You Resist Persists

Metaphysics, Spirituality, God, Law of Attraction.

We cannot experience the results we wish by pushing against undesirable conditions. We are facing the wrong direction, Each situation in life has two sides to it, like a coin, and we must turn 180 degrees from the undesirable aspects of the situation we find ourselves in and find and embrace the desirable aspects of that particular situation.

What are we to do about the things we want changed in life you may ask? Acceptance. Accept and allow those conditions to exist, do not push against them. Do no attempt to fix the perceived problem. Do not attempt to rid yourself of the perceived problem. Instead remain still, nonreactive, and guide your mind toward discovering the positive aspects involved in your situation. Turn around and stop facing the problems and face the other side of the coin. See the good in it. And be ever grateful for the lessons your life’s experiences provide you with.

Again I must repeat, do not be a problem solver, be a creator! There is a distinct difference between problem solvers and creators. Problem solvers will never ever run out of problems to handle. Creators allow the perceived “problem” to exist and focuses his energy instead on creating a whole new experience that contains the desirable conditions he wishes to live in. Through this non-reaction he frees his energy up from wrestling with the undesirable effects to create new and better conditions and one finds the recent undesirable aspects of the situation melt away as the new and desirable experience comes into being all around him.

One will find this to be a difficult change in his approch toward life because the habit to resist what is is deeply ingrained and its only through practice that these new healthier habits will take hold and produce the desired results. We have been so conditioned by the unconscious masses to automatically resist life that it may be difficult to alter your direction but this change can and will happen eventually.

You will travel the wrong path all the way to the edge of self destruction and once having reached the edge and realized you’ve gained nothing from that path you will make the fundamental choice to live a better way.

Its this truth which is why when we struggle against life and try to bend life to our will that we experience so much suffering and struggle until every ounce of energy has been used up we’re left feeling weak and powerless and one can no longer push against life, we hit rock bottom and finally give in and let go! The feelings of freedom and relief that rushes over us the moment we hit bottom and give in is incredibly liberating and for awhile we experience a kind of peace and harmony with life.

We never need to hit the bottom to experience this peace. All we have to do is decide at the very deepest part of our soul that we trust in the power that created us and we allow life to unfold for us knowing that every experience that could ever come to us does so at our best interest to promote and offer opportunities for growth and healing. And to know that every situation has two sides to it and all we ever need to do to turn and see the other side is let go and surrender.
