Christians and Their Backsliding Ways
Christians and their backsliding ways.
I consider myself a Christian… but I obviously am not up to par because I believe in not judging people and letting them live their lives.

I wish there were far more “not-up-to-par” Christians in the world…
Nice post!

There’s no such thing as the perfect Christian yet Christians do expect other Christians to be perfect. Thankfully some read their Bibles and notice that Jesus chose 12 to be the first of many, and one was a traitorous thief who betrayed him, Peter who was the rock on which He built His church denied him three times as he predicted, and Thomas was a doubter. The others were pretty non-descript. Em….kinda like several we see in the church today. Don’t knock yourself. God is bigger than all those who would put you down. His word said that we should judge not lest we should be judged. By their fruits you shall know them… and Jesus didn’t go about pointing the finger, since He was the one who said Let you who is without sin cast the first stone at her (woman caught in adultery so where was the man she did it with?) Take the log out of your own eye first… God created men with free will and left them to lead their own lives. They have freedom of choice and if they blow it…..

I find that if I point a finger the other points back to me. No wonder Jesus said ” judge not lest you be judged.” I think as ministers we need to preach on our own faults, people can better identify.

No one is “up-to-par” that is entire point of Christianity. If people were up to par, Jesus’ death would be meaningless.

The only person one needs to worry about is themselves in a sense…
I think you have the right idea. Hang in there!
