Hiding The Fact That You are a Geek
Geeks are worth it. I never understood what was the big deal about flashy boys, perhaps has to do with the fact that geeks are awkward, and some geeks tend to scare people.
Unfortunately, you live in a world where you think being smart makes you an outcast or it makes you unpopular. I think if people really wanted to be popular they would be. You can’t be popular if you are quiet and shy 99.9 percent of the time.
If you ever thought about being a shameless geek, you just want to hide the fact that you are a geek, and want to be part of the so call, “popular crowd”, think about it, really?
Yes, humans need a sense of belonging; it is a good feeling to belong somewhere. Trying desperately to be part of the popular crowd, to be a flashy boy, overall, get people to notice isn’t really healthy. Those people that belong to the popular crowd think that school is the real life. School is not the real life; is a pain in the butt, a place to learn, hate, love, and to prepare you for some of the things in life. The good thing is that going to high school or school in general is just a temporary thing, if it wasn’t, we will be in trouble.
Are you hiding behind a mask? Hope not. Yet, when you hide who you really are, you will begin to feel uneasy. That’s not living. All in the name of what? Just to try to impress the popular crowd. Is it really worth it to go out of your way to just fit in. Wouldn’t it be better to fit it in, where you really belong? Trying to fit a square into a circle is a bit tough. I’ll tell you what, save that energy to fit with the other geeks.
If you still want to hide the fact that you are a geek, well, you came to the wrong place. However, I can’t help but wonder, if you are a true geek could you really hide the following:
Trying to hack your phone.
Translate a program from Java to…. you know the answer to that one.
You think Gym class is the worst.
You love to create spam filters.
Multiple screen names.
You rely on your computer for fun and have no social life.
The list goes on.
The thing is, you really shouldn’t hide the fact that you are a geek. School is only temporary. Don’t forget that at the end, geeks can land some of the highest paying jobs out there. Unlike some of the popular people who don’t know how to solve linear equations. Geeks or no Geeks, we all fit in somewhere, is just a matter of finding the right places.

Geeks may be geeky at school but they tend to earn the most money when they leave… which in the end makes them super cool. Karma’s revenge lol.
