What is Goth?
There’s a lot of ways to dress. You can be pop, Emo, Techno, goth, hip hop, indie, geek, playboy or any of those styles out there. I will talk about the Goths.
Goth / Gothic
Goth is a contemporary subculture that exists in many countries. It began in Britain in the early 1980s as a result of Goth-rock genre, a musical development of the Punk genre.
The Oxford English Dictionary has the following definition:
Goth: 1) A style of rock music with an intense or droning blend of guitar, bass, and drums, often with apocalyptic or mystical lyrics.
Goth: 2) A performer or Devotees of this music, often dressing in black clothing and wearing black makeup. “
Goth Rock
As every other culture, this culture has it’s own music style. You’ve guessed it: Goth Rock.
Goth-rock music is one arising out of punk music in the latter part of 1970s. It was shaped by bands like Siouxsie and The Banshee, Joy Division (New Order) and the Bauhaus.
The genre contains a number of sub-genres whose interfaces overlap, making it difficult to identify common features of the entire musical genre. Nevertheless, some of the original sounds has survived since the British goth-rock beginning – including guitar sound. Following effects is commonly used: chorus, flanger, analog delay and / or short delayed reverb, resulting in a distinctive sound that resembles something created by Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshee and The Cure.
Mol tone species and associated minor chords is widespread. Dur also occurs. The perceived mission scale is also used to give the Goth-rock it’s haunting atmosphere. Goth-rock is often mixed so there is a pronounced bass to create a pensive and moody atmosphere.
Goth-rock often use the same beats and drums in the song all the way.
The closest metronome-like little drum was first heard on some of Iggy Pops “The Idiot”. It continued in Joy Division’s music and cures in The Sisters of Mercy and the early releases. A bit ironic that Bauhaus deemed to start the genre needed a large variation of the number of “Bela Lugosi’s dead”.
Another element which is true of Goth-rock is the closest to sob, half deep male vocal that goes back on virtually all releases with the label “Goth”. The start-90s began some Goth-bands to add Hard rock elements (this was Sisters of Mercy, among other things on the album “Flood Land”) and in the late 90s, there were a lot of electronic elements of The Crüxshadows’ music .
I hope you now understand what “goth” is.

It’s a sound in the music. You can say it’s a special mood ir makes.
Mol tones is just a category of tones.
An example of another category of tones is “Fis” I think. I’m not that much into it. =)

I think you’ve misunderstood something here.
Mol tones is not from a language. I don’t think that the mol tones is used for the singing parts, what do I know.
I just know that mol tones often is used when playing guitar for an example.
