I was reading the Yahoo News, and was surprised to the comment of Pat Buchanan concerning  the court nomination of Sonia Sotomayor. What grit my teeth is that she believes that USA was built by white folks. This is her comment. She is as ignorant as a mule is stubborn. America was built on the sweat, the tears, the deaths, and blood of black slaves. Whites had no pride in maintaining the construction of America, the African slaves were forced to do it, at the cost of their lives, their dignity, their sorrows, and relentless shedding of their blood, along side of the rapes of the African women by white masters. Whites took what the blacks built as their own, claiming what was built into the United States of America as what they did. Pat Buchanan  does not know what she is talking about. Her concepts to how America was built  is way off base. It is a privilege to know that the Hispanic ethnic groups are stepping up to cross the line of freedom in America. America is not as free as some think, specially when it comes to being a minority. Who would ever think that a man with African descendants would ever lead a nation as a president? When I was a child , many whites would call my house, and make the comment to go back to Africa. If whites did not want blacks in America , why bring them here? believe me it is not like we were breaking out necks to get to America. We we forced, chained, beaten, raped, tortured, and sold, into making whites having the comforts of luxury, with no gratification. So how can Pat Buchanan say white folks built USA? the minorities took up where the blacks discontinued. New York would completely shut down if it were not for the cooks, maid service, bus boys and other conveniences needed in them luxury hotels there and all over the USA. Minorities! they are the ones that built USA. America is not for whites, it is for everyone. Land of the free? not to some it is not. The  immigration march, The Hispanic movement. The land of freedom , Oh really! Whites are known for what they stole in minority ethnic groups. Mainly Africans and Indians, but know it is way beyond to other minority groups that whites have liberatedly taken, staking their claim. There is no revenge in me for what whites have done, for many whites have also lost their lives protecting the slaves, and getting justice to them minority’s that deserve it. But history will tell you who formed America to what it is today. Obama is a open door to other minorities to becoming leaders to our country. I am glad to see Hispanics stepping up to positions that was and were never crossed by a minority. Obama did it, and he is not the last. like it or not , this is our country too, and and have equal rights to any position that is offered to the people of all nationalities, regardless. This is how America should be!
