Figures from the Health shows that among young people between 16 to 24 years, 11% tried amphetamines, 5% cocaine and 4% ecstasy.

A survey conducted in connection with a drug out of the city project in Cyprus shows that 5% of young people who participated in a questionnaire, have tried cannabis before the age of 13 years.

A study in Kolding hospital, show that up to one third of the 13-17-year-old who ends up in hospital, has taken drugs in the last days. The survey is conducted among 1631 adolescents who responded to questions about alcohol and drugs. The responses indicate that many young people – including the very young – at the hospital have experimented with drugs and that they are either full or biased when it comes to the hospital. The study also shows that when young people aged 15 years, begin to respond more frequently that they have experience in taking drugs.

Many studies come to the same conclusion: The young people partying and drinking more often, they are adolescents with the highest consumption of illegal drugs.

Positive signals from various studies show that the vast majority of young people or a few times trying a drug, stop and move on with life.
