History was always a real mystery and a subject that I turned away, in fact ran away, from. History is taught as Social Studies along with Civics (another subject that was disliked) and Geography (loved it most as it involved lots of practical sciences!) Had to study history, just to ensure it does not leave a dent in the total score!
