but isn’t this where we need to stop and think that you don’t see an elephant riding a bike because elephants are not made for riding a bike or balancing on balls.  So if they are not made to do this how do they get the elephants to do these tricks.

This is the life of a circus elephant and how their trainers get them to perform these tricks. First they will start with a baby elephant, this baby elephant has been been born on a breeding elephant farm, where they are torn away from their mothers, which is extremely stressful for mother and baby and extremely distressing. They baby elephant is then tied with ropes and then put into isolation until they learn to fear their trainers.

Once they are total and completely afraid of their trainers then this is when the full training will begin.

The tricks are painful and very confusing to the elephants. But this dose not stop a trainer.

So the trainers will hit the elephants over the head, whip them all over their body’s , put tight collars around their necks, and use electric prods all over their body’s. The best tool they trainers love is bullhooks, which the trainers use to stab into the elephants sensitive skin. They will continue to push the hook in further and twist it until they elephant is crying out in agony. One case a trainer used a bull hook to drag an elephant along, he stabbed the bullhook right into the elephants ear. Some elephants will not live beyond 4 years old because of this torture. It was report that one 4 year old male elephant drowned after his trainer was forcing him to swim in a pond, but because this poor little elephant wasn’t swimming fast enough he hit him over then head then went to use the bullhook, the elephant was so frighted it drowned while trying to escape.

other elephants have died alone from serve injuries, often with bleeding from the rectum. But they still have to perform even with injuries because the show must go on.  You can only imagine the suffering and the pain that these elephants face day in day out.  Until they die, unless they are lucky enough to be rescued. But some elephants have been in the circus for 41 years. 41 years of loneliness, pain, discomfort, and misery and for what??.

when the day is over and the elephants do finally get to rest they are put in cramped confined spaces with shackles around their legs.  Most have scars all over their body’s and rope burns. If they do get sick they don’t get any treatment. If an older elephant gets arthritis it is left untreated. So that leaves them with more pain.

elephants are kind and gentle creatures, they have emotions and needs to. They feel pain, they feel loneliness, they mourn for the death of their own kind. They get upset to. They are not here to perform stupid tricks. They should be in a safe place where they can be with their own kind, eat well, and have lots and lots of room to move around.

It’s time that circuses gave up the animals for good.

So remember if you attend a circus that use animals, you are supporting this suffering.

If you truly don’t believe in any form of animal cruelty, then please stay away from circuses that use animals.

Attend a circus that dose not use animals because they are the best circuses.

Animal crush movies show small animals such as kittens, puppies and rabbits crushed when someone steps on them. Those perpetrating crush film material are apparently providing these movies to titillate an audience. 

Why would anyone watch a gentle animal being killed in an incredibly painful fashion? Who would sell these films?

It comes down to dollars. Those who make animal crush movies hope to profit from people’s curiosity or from people who derive enjoyment from watching animal suffering.

There’s another side to crush movies, one slick marketers utilize to make animal crush video’s saleable. In some crush movies a pornographic element is incorporated, showing sexual acts with the animals prior to their deaths via crushing. Marketers combine the two hoping to deaden compassion by first introducing a sexual element.

In 1999 the U.S. government banned animal crush movies but the law was later overturned under the auspices of free speech. What this means is that crush films are legal and sold to the masses. Should free speech be used as a platform to publish material that is harmful to mental and moral health? That promotes and encourages cruelty to animals? Free speech should not be thinly disguised carte blanch, allowing for profiteering from inhumane practices that cause needless suffering to animals.

What can be done to put an end to crush movies that undermine viewers’ innocence, that harden perception and feed appetites for senseless violence?

• A petition is now being circulated through Facebook. Interested parties can sign the petition to get this practice stopped.

• Those who come across any website promoting or selling crush videos, can post the links to anti-animal cruelty sites, so that these organizations can take appropriate action.

Built on the suffering and death of defenseless animals, crush movies are alive and flourishing.
