Mythical tales of earlier inhabitants of the Earth seemed able to command the sky in incredible airships and the belief of this can trace their origins as far back to the inhabitants of southern Mesopotamia, the Sumerians, who firmly believe that a race of beings called the Anunnaki visited the Earth 400,000 years ago and interfered with human evolution. This sounds oddly similar to the biblical references of Fallen Angels. The Sumerians were a very interesting people who also firmly believed in flying machines thousands of years ago even before airplanes were invented a little more than 100 years ago.

How could the Sumerians believe in having alien blood that they consider to be gods visiting the Earth in the distant past and is this even possible with the understanding of how DNA works today? Scientific studies have indeed mapped out in great detail Human DNA and have discovered that there are some strange anomalies in our genetic makeup that seem almost alien in origin. This unusual belief about humans mixing with supernatural beings and the notion of Immaculate Conception by the hand of God is also mentioned in the Bible several times.

Most religious groups would determine these legends of ancient gods and angels from the sky engaged in terrifying aerial battles in the sky to be merely God’s angel’s locked in an eternal battle against demons for the control of the Earth and Mankind. An epic battle of supernatural proportions for the very soul and salvation of the human race no less. But some in the scientific and UFO community have come to believe that a different scenario may have taken place tens of thousands of years ago involving ancient humans, mythical gods, and UFO‘s.

What is becoming clear to most religious scholars and archaeologist is that important mythical events actually occurred earlier than Bible history documents. This is a common debate between evolutionists and creationists who disagree with the historical timeline that we have in history books today. Nevertheless, we cannot ignore other cultures ancient religious beliefs and written accounts of human history that is older and proven by geological dating. Ancient cultures predating Egypt in numerous hieroglyphics around the world have recounted astonishing similarities of visitations by gods and unexplained UFOs.

A radical hypothesis not associated with mainstream scientists is that Homo sapiens as a species developed much faster and earlier than was thought possible. It has been noted that human evolution has greatly accelerated faster than any other species on the planet and that skeletal remains of modern man has been discovered in parts of the world where humans are not supposed to be. This would mean that ancient cultures and ancient lost civilizations could have existed over 10,000 years ago much like the legendary content of Atlantis.

Mythological places like the lost civilization of Atlantis could have paid a haevy price when technology overtakes spiritual maturity. If this theory is true, this would explain a multitude of strange anomalies in ancient monolithic architecture and unexplainable descriptions of technology like the Egyptian light bulb and wooden airplane, and the ability to map the entire Earth by way of vessels both on the ocean and in the air, and command advanced knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, and some argue even nuclear physics. The Piri Reis map dating back to the year 1513 AD from a source map dating back perhaps thousands of years before oddly shows a detail aerial map of the Atlantic Ocean and even accurately displaying the undiscovered coastline of Antarctica free of ice.

If some natural catastrophe or some worldwide disaster took place all the ancient cultures that ever existed in the past would fall back into the dark ages or rather the Stone Age after having lost all their technology. This is even true today as scientists readily agree that if the world were to suffer a nuclear winter caused by a nuclear war or that an asteroid suddenly struck the Earth some 70% of the world population would be destroyed and modern technology would be lost and the survivors would find themselves in a new Dark Age just like in the Middle Ages 1000 years ago.

Nevertheless, when scientists and researchers studied the data regarding ancient cultures, pyramids, monolithic temples and monuments, and unexplainable technology, and legends and myths of gods interacting with ancient humans imparting them with secret knowledge of spirituality and technology that we in the present at this moment in history are just now fully understanding and comprehending just how the universe works. This certainly gives food for thought about the more ancient cultures are the more advance spiritually and technologically they appear to be.

What is very clear is that science and our modern world has caught up to these ancient mythical tales of DNA manipulation, orbital satellites mapping the world, aerial battles with modern jets, close encounters with UFOs, and the belief that we are in contact with enlightened spiritual beings is ongoing today and in these times. Some people speculate that we are at a pivotal time in human history and some even fear that we may be learning too much too fast and are afraid that we may repeat the mistakes of the ancient past.

Nibiru, The Great Scare

When first heard, this doomsday theory deals a lot of panic to ordinary people. Nibiru is considered the Twelfth Planet or Planet X by Zecharia Sitchin, author of books promoting ancient astronaut theory of the Sumerian culture. According to him, Nibiru was the homeland of alien beings called Anunnaki of the Sumerian mythology. This extraterrestrial race was referred by him as Nephilim, offspring of the “Sons of God” and “daughters of men” as mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4 of the Bible. They arrived here 450,000 years ago to mine gold and genetically engineered Homo sapiens to work as slaves. His works centered on the idea that Nibiru’s orbit around the Sun is highly elliptical with its farthest point beyond the orbit of Pluto and it’s nearest as far side of the asteroid belt bringing it closer to the Sun. It takes 3,600 years to enter our inner solar system. With its immense gravitational pull, it is believed that Nibiru could trigger orbital misalignment of other planets especially Earth, which will result to great tidal waves, mega earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other environmental calamities.

Doomsday Forecast

Internet websites predicted that Nibiru is on its way to destroy Earth in December 21, 2012, the end of the Mayan Calendar. Many videos and articles claim that governments are hiding the truth from the public so as not to create panic and civil disorder. Marshall Masters, publisher of the website yowusa.com even published a survival guide tailored for this cataclysmic event. Is Nibiru really the star mentioned in the Book of Revelation?

Nibiru, a Celestial Phenomenon

1. According to the videos submitted on youtube.com, if Nibiru would come near to Earth, we could experience two suns shining starting on May 2011.

Finding Nibiru in the Bible

If we link Nibiru with the prophecies presented in the Bible, surely we will take into account the evidences about this celestial phenomenon in the pages of the Holy Scriptures:

1. Nowhere in the Bible mentioned about two suns bringing disasters to mankind. According to Matthew 24:29, Joel 3:14-15 and Mark 13:24, it only talked about one sun that will be darkened, one moon that will not give its light, and numerous stars that will fall from the sky.
2. According to Matthew 24:36, no one knows about that day or hour when the Apocalypse will commence, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Are the Mayan people exempted? Or it is just the doomsayers who are setting December 21, 2012 as the end of the world because it is the end of the baktun (a Mayan Calendar cycle)?

What the Science Says

According to the website Bad Astronomy, planetary alignments have little to do with earthquakes. Every time planetary alignment occurs, doomsayers are predicting that it will cause earthquakes, floods and other great calamities that will beset our planet Earth. Planetary alignments happened in 1982 and in May 2000 but did we experience the end of the world or even the calamities that they’re always predicting along with it?

According to Dr. Sten Odenwald, “From Ask the Astronomer”, a sudden pole shift or drastic changes on the rotation axis of the Earth would cause great earthquakes of magnitude 7 and higher. No area on Earth will escape the 100-500 mile per hour wind it will create. Polar ice caps will melt that will suddenly change the temperature causing seal levels to rise by 30 feet. If it is caused by collision from an asteroid or other heavenly bodies, the result would be more catastrophic sending dust and debris from the atmosphere creating radioactive environment because of too much heat of such disastrous force. Our biosphere will be destroyed, and the only survivors would be bacteria.

Tel Megiddo

The Book of Revelation, specifically Revelation 16:16 mentioned a place called Armageddon:

“Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.”

Armageddon or Tel Megiddo to the modern day Israel is an area where battles always occur dating since the ancient times. Here it will be the staging ground for the final battle at the time of Christ’s return. Notice that after with the “wormwood” disaster that fell from the sky in Revelation 8:11, humans still managed to wage war. Is it plausible in the Nibiru theory? The Earth will be bombarded with great calamities due to the presence of a big unknown heavenly body within the inner solar system causing to disrupt its rotational axis, shifting its pole, creating high velocity winds, massive earthquakes, mega tsunamis and volcano eruptions and yet man managed to go to war? What trigger them to go to Armageddon amassing great number of armies where their formidable enemy is nature itself?

A nuclear weapon is a political symbol, a driving force that makes a country to achieve international supremacy, global domination, worldwide recognition and national prestige. One wrong decision to use it will plunge neighboring nations to conflict. Any tyrant and madman is susceptible from the sway of the devil and his minions. Like a Thief in the Night

In 2 Peter 3:10:

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”

According to Gotquestions.org, the “Day of the Lord” is a period of time where the wrath of God Almighty (Rev. 16:4) will be poured out. Notice that it will come like a thief. If Nibiru will come to fulfill the Day of the Lord, it could be predicted like comets, weather, eclipse and other celestial phenomenon. We will know when Nibiru will enter the asteroid belt, the distance it will fly near to the Earth, how many months before it will arrive and so on and so forth. But in a nuclear strike, can we know when it will commence? No. In case of Nibiru, sooner or later astronomers not within holding grasp of the government will discover that it is indeed fast approaching towards Earth. We could be warned months to years of preparation before we could finally feel its impact. While in a nuclear strike, we will be caught off-guard with only days or month of thinking how to survive-if you are lucky enough you are far from ground zero.

Nibiru or Nuclear War?

From the Bible point of view, we could see that the Nibiru doomsday theory is far fetched from reality. It is a myth based on Sitchin’s stories of aliens rather than prophecies of our times. Set dates were also been given, which the Bible clearly reminded that no one knows (not even Jesus) except the Father when will the time of the Apocalypse will be. Celestial manifestation and calamities that the Nibiru will create if it will flyby near Earth or will collide with it is far unbelievable when it comes to science and the Holy Scriptures. If Nibiru is destined to create havoc, chances are that nations all over the world will be too busy preparing for the impending doomsday even cooperating to survive rather than squabble for a piece of land in the Middle East. Governments all over the world could prepare for the impending cataclysm, for an unknown object as large as Nibiru could be detected by amateur astronomers as far as planet Pluto-thus denouncing the Bible’s claim that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

A nuclear war could create the horrifying destruction described in the Bible more accurately, with less intense and not overkill, thus allowing the bitterness (Wormwood) to creep for man to suffer in the Tribulation period. We could not predict it because it is driven politically, and politics worldwide is always unstable-especially in the Middle East where the great battle in Armageddon will take place. A nuclear war is likely to occur in the coming future but it will not end the world. It will be cut short, because Jesus will return to establish the kingdom of God.

What Information do we have and for what are we looking?

It has been suggested by some enlightened researchers that various legends and myths of angelic or demonic visitations are actually recordings of extraterrestrial encounters. After all, even in the doctrines of religious thought these entities did not originate on the Earth, {Terra}, thus they are truly extra, (as in not from), terrestrial. Thus by the most literal definition of the word, angels and demons are extraterrestrials. Conversely, this does not mean that all extraterrestrials are either angels or demons. However, if we begin with this data we can undertake to find patterns, which seem to coincide with some “modern” reports of extraterrestrial encounters.

How Far Back Does It Reach?

Some sources indicate that the entities, known by some as the Grays, called by others as the Zeta Reticulans, may have been meddling with humankind for over 12,000 years. If this is so, then their hidden influences permeate all of our cultural and historical perspectives, without our knowledge. In that time, these beings have become thoroughly entrenched, in the shadows, holed up in both underground and hidden undersea lairs. Throughout the time of their tampering, human cultural development has gone through several changes. Our political, religious, scientific, technological and philosophic perspectives have endured a plethora of transformations, some of which may have occurred at the behest of their secret behind the scenes influences. It is inevitable that our perceptions of any encounters with these beings, should likewise take on almost as many different forms as these changes in perspective. It is with that concept in mind, that we examine ancient accounts, which could be seen as possible extraterrestrial encounter case histories.

Where Do We Begin?

Our first look into antiquity, will be in one of the world’s best sources of legendary material about angels. This would be, of course, the Holy Bible. The following is a list of several examples of angelic encounters, which may have actually been interactions with extraterrestrials. While this list is long, it is not exhaustive. From various obscure sources we find

To show how pervasive the themes are of abduction, and/or cross breading with these beings, let us look at a veritable potpourri of mythic stories through out history.

1. In his writings St. Augustine was known to have expressed the belief that witches were the offspring of the union between humans and fallen angels.

2. In 1484 Pope Innocent VIII released his “Bull of 1484”. Here read an excerpt from this papal bull . . . “It has come to Our ears that members of both sexes do not avoid to have intercourse with evil angels, incubi, and succubi, and that by their sorceries, and by their incantations, charms, and conjuration, they suffocate, extinguish, and cause to perish the births of women, . . .”

3. The inquisitors “witch hunt” which followed this papal declaration brought about the interrogation, torture and execution of many innocent abductees, whose only “sin” was to be chosen. A factor over which they had absolutely no control! Two of Pope Innocent VIII’s inquisitors at the time are quoted as having said, referring to the beings they called Devils, “ . . . busy themselves by interfering with the process of normal copulation and conception, by obtaining human semen, and themselves transferring it.”

Compared to “modern” abduction scenarios, these practices appear quite consistent.

4. From another “inquisitors” style case in England, we can find in the records of the witch trial of Ann Jeffries in 1645, a classic variation of the “modern” abduction scenario. During her trial this Cornish woman described to the court her experiences of being abducted. She explained this encounter as an attack by fairies from a castle in the sky. She claimed these little men carried her, paralyzed, to their sky castle, where they seduced her.

5. In The World Guide To Gnomes, Fairies, Elves and Other Little People by Thomas Keightley we find many stories which have elements similar to modern abduction scenarios. One of these stories came in the from of a written testimony by one Pet. Rahm. The following quote, known as The Troll – Labor, is that testimony in it’s entirety: “In the year 1660, when I and my wife had gone to my farm (fäboderne), which is three quarters of a mile from Ragunda parsonage, and we were sitting there and talking a while, late in the evening, there came a little man in at the door, who begged of my wife to go and aid his wife, who was just then in the pains of labor. The fellow was of small size, of a dark complexion, and dressed in old gray clothes.

My wife and I sat a while, and wondered at the man; for we were aware that he was a Troll, and we had heard tell that such like, called by the peasantry Vettar (spirits), always used to keep in the farm houses, when people left them in harvest time. But when he had urged his request four or five times, and we thought on what the country folks say that they have at times suffered from the Vettar, when they have to chanced to swear at them, or with unevil words bid them go to hell, I took the resolution to read some prayers over my wife, and to bless her, and bid her in God’s name go with him. She took in haste some old linen with her, and went along with him, and I remained sitting there.

When she returned, she told me, that when she went with the man out at the gate, it seemed to her as if she was carried for a time along in the wind, and so she came to a room, on one side of which was a little dark chamber, in which his wife lay in bed in great agony. My wife went up to her, and, after a little while, aided her till she brought forth the child after the same manor as other human beings. The man then offered her food, and when she refused it, he thanked her, and accompanied her out, and then she was carried along, in the same way in the wind, and after a while came again to the gate, just at ten o’clock. Meanwhile, a quantity of old pieces and clippings of silver were laid on a shelf in the sitting-room, and my wife found them next day, when she was putting the room in order. It is to be supposed that they were laid there by the Vettar. That it in truth so happened, I witnessed, by inscribing my name. Ragunda, the 12th of April 1671. Pet. Rahm.”

A strange testimonial to be sure, but of interest the points in common with modern abduction phenomena are noteworthy. Being carried for a time in the wind, presumably upward, the fact that the visitation occurred nocturnally, and the concern with reproduction.

Reproductive connections

With so many of these legends, myths and stories, both ancient and modern we find the reproductive connections. Many modern researchers theorize these extraterrestrials are experimenting with our genetic codes, and are even engaged in yielding beings with genetic characteristics from their own genome combined with ours in order to produce hybridized races. Could it be that in the past, these same hybrids were thought of as demonic offspring, Nephilim, witches, incubi, succubi, changelings, trolls, etc.? Some Ufologists, like John Lear, Zecharia Sitchin, and Egyptologist Dr. Ezekiel Zamar suggest that the interactions go back even further, and that extraterrestrials, now no longer on the scene, “up-lifted” humanity, or elevated our evolution from earlier non-sentient forms into our first sentient ancestors.

Dr. Ezekiel Zamar reveals his theories

Dr. Zamar states, “The Earth has been visited many times by myriad races. Millions of years ago, our most primitive ape like progenitors were up-lifted by a race we at the Zamarite Institute call the “Prymosians”. These Prymosians discovered our proto homo-erectus predecessors, and commenced a process of speeding up their evolution. They up-lifted our ancestors into sentient forms, and spread them to the stars, relocating other branches of humanity further adapted to the environments of planets in star systems both distant and near our own. After working with their human “children” for hundreds of thousands of years, these Prymosians left us to our own devices many thousands of years ago. It seems other aliens have since come into the picture, known in some circles as the “Grays”, who now engage in their own genetic projects, further tampering with human evolution. Their motivations look to not be quite as benevolent as the Prymosians.”

Unlike Ufologist John Lear, Ezekiel Zamar does not suggest this up-lift creation of humanity precludes the existence of God. Rather he says these Prymosians saw themselves as servants of God, accelerating the natural processes in order to insure greater survival of sentient species throughout the Milky Way Galaxy. So in a sense, Zamar’s Prymosians fill the niche of angels, guardians of life from star system to star system.

Zecharia Sitchin’s take

Zecharia Sitchin’s take on these up-lifters, he calls the Anunnaki, is a bit more cynical, presenting them as imitators of “gods”, whose motivation for creating humanity were of a more selfish nature. According to Sitchin, the Anunnaki needed servants to help them with mining gold, and therefore designed humanity for that purpose. Thus by Zecharia Sitchin’s reckoning, we were genetically up-lifted to be gold mining slaves.

Examined collectively the evidence can be compelling

Regardless if ones ancient source is Sumerian, Persian, Egyptian, or Israelite all of these were recorded considerably later than the events they have mythologized. Bearing that in mind, it may be much more challenging than these researchers suggest to genuinely comprehend the actual motivations behind the actions of these theoretical extraterrestrial up-lifters. If indeed our ancient ancestors were genetically altered by beings from elsewhere in the universe, the knowledge of why they did so may well be lost to time for us, today. While much may be uncertain, we can be sure of one thing, in spite of a strongly skeptical main line, there is an increasing number of those who do believe the Earth has been visited by extraterrestrial beings. The evidence of these visitation may be slight, and subject to debate, but when examined collectively and with an opened mind it can be quite compelling.
