http://media-3.web.britannica.com/eb-media/93/73393-050-028995CC.jpg

Never heard of this wicked day of wild sexual celebration? It takes place, just after the Christmas festivities have died away, on January 22nd each year, which is when, for 18 hours of that day, the planetoid Eros is at the closest point it ever comes to earth. You may not have known that this tiny, penis-shaped world-let existed, but at 25by 9 by 9 miles wide, it is not to be ignored.

Discovered first by Carl Gustav Witt in 1898, Planet 433 Eros, to give it the official title, fascinates astronomers because it actually always comes closer to the earth than any other such body, including the moon, in the course of a strange, elliptical orbit, and the elongated shape has obviously excited much comment over the years.

http://www.alienrobotzombies.com/2011/04/theyre-all-planets-part-2.html

It was in the mid 1990s that NASA had their NEAR spacecraft swing into orbit around this peculiar small planetoid, snapping pictures and justifying completely the$234million spent on it. A great deal was learned from Eros about the beginning of the cosmos, but the other aspect of this sexually charged visitor is the connotations it provides.

Theogeny, the Genealogy of the gods written by Hesiod of Bociota in 800BCE, maintained that Eros was one of the four great original creators of the universe, others being Earth goddess Gaia, Sky god Uranus and Underworld god Tartarus, all four having come from chaos. Eros, of course was god of love and sex, blowing life into all creatures.

http://www.glogster.com/media/3/12/64/55/12645597.jpg

It was in later Greek mythology that this mighty figure was transformed into the cherubic young man who fired magical arrows of love into the hearts of would-be suitors, his closest ally his mother Aphrodite, who was goddess of love, sex and beauty, named Venus by the Romans. Not only that, but he was married to the goddess of the soul, Physche, probably where the idea of a soul-mate comes from.

Just to confuse the issue some more, it seems unclear who actually fathered Eros, any one of the gods Hermes, Zeus or Ares being in the frame. In Roman times he was known as Amor, later becoming the immortal cupid, bringer of love to those who seek it. As a sex god, Eros was always kept busy by human society, and there are those who think that Eros day is well worth celebrating each time it comes round.

When the little planet is closet to us, the party-goers maintain, is when the erotic influence of the god is at its strongest, but since this is no recognised celebration, you have to make your own entertainment, possibly by acting out, with willing partners of course, some of your wildest sexual fantasies, in the true spirit of Eros.

Just bear this date and the implications in mind for next year, because after all the excesses associated with the Christmas period you might not have too much spare caseriouslsh for partying so soon after, but Eros day sexual celebrations need cost you nothing but time, effort and boundless enjoyment, and what more could you ask?

Just talking about Greek God Ares. Enjoy!

Family/Lovers/Children

In the former Greek Mythology the God Ares was known for being the God of War, he was the son of Zeus and Hera. Ares had an unstable relationship with his lover Aphrodite who he soon enough had an affair with. Ares intentions with Aphrodite were only to give the best to her, but she was married to Hephaistos. Ares admired Aphrodite to no extent and he even went off killing Adonis, which was another lover of Aphrodite. As far as children go with Ares and Aphrodite, they only had five together, but not five in total including any other Gods or Goddesses. Their children were recognized as, Deimos God of Fear, Anteros God of Love Reciprocated, Eros God of Love, Harmonia God of harmony, and lastly Phobos God of Panic.

Birth/Creation/Death

Ares birth wasn’t an exciting feeling for his father Zeus because he didn’t have a part in Ares conception or birth. Hera who was the mother of Ares created him through a magical herb which managed to get herself pregnant, of course with the help of Zeus. The reason why Hera did this was to get back at Zeus for having a child on his own Dionysus. Zeus didn’t literally have the baby on his own, but his wife Semele was dying as she was giving birth so Zeus took the baby out who was Dionysus and kept it under his thigh until the baby was ready to come into the world. Moral of the story is that Zeus never had the passion to care for Ares because he felt like he contributed nothing towards Ares birth, so he let Hera worry about what would happen to Ares. Of course Ares never had a date set for death, since he was an immortal God. He will exist eternally without a possibility of dying.

Good/Evil + How so?

The Greek God Ares was not evil, however he wasn’t necessarily considered good either. As far as his intentions go he only fought for causes and partially personal gain, but that was a rare situation. Ares would only be considered evil because the other Gods would not trust him because they were blind towards his intentions. To be evil there has to be an underlying cause, but Ares had a chance to be looked at an evil perspective only because he was being portrayed as it due to not being trusted. Ares knew the distinction between right and wrong and stood by right, but what some people found right was the opposite of what he found right, so conflicts evolved from that and gradually with misconceptions the Gods start pointing fingers. Calling Ares evil or good would only be valid depending on who’s perspective you were looking at it from, the other Gods or from a humans view during a war. Ares would pick the side that was right, but of course all the Gods have their own interpretations on right and wrong so to them he could not be trusted since to them, they thought he misinterpreted what actually was good. Conclusively Ares wasn’t evil, he was just being looked at in an evil perspective from the Gods due to them not trusting him and his intentions. The Gods also hated him because he killed humans.

Friends + Enemies + Why?

Ares had enemies amongst the other Gods like Zeus, Helios, Hephaestus, Aphrodites Olympian consort, Otus and Ephialtes the chthonic giants. However Ares wasn’t completely without companions he had Deimos and Phobos his children born by Aphrodite. Sister Eris the Goddess of discord or Enyo the Goddess of war, bloodshed and violence; the minor war God Enyalius his son by Enyo, Nike the deathless spirit of victory; Kydoims, the demon of the din of battle; Makhai, Hysminai, Polemus and his daughter Alala the Goddess of the Greek war-cry; Ares sister Hebe who drew his baths for him. These are the main people who despised him, and the main people who actually loved him.

Purpose

Ares was the Greek God of War. His purpose was to preside over male passion, to provide the weapons and preparation for a war, defense and protection of the cities, to be rebellious and to give civil orders, and lastly have personal courage. Ares had a simple motive and he would always do his job properly and efficiently. Just because he did it efficiently and properly doesn’t mean every war he sided on won, it just means he was knowledgeable and knew great tactics. The purpose of Ares was to provide all that, but he never had a set purpose to always help the good side or bad side, he chose by his own will and then he would help whom ever he liked more.

Connections/Significance to Greek culture/society

Ares had a great significance and important reflection to the Greek culture in terms of an interesting deity in the Greek pantheon. His courage and will is very inspiring and admired by the Greek warriors. To fight with courage and honor is the way Greeks feel everything should be done by, and Ares is exactly like that which is why he plays a significant role to them.

Places Associated With?

Ares is associated and came from the Greek Mythologies. He is the God of War and he originated from other Greek Gods, so he has been associated with Greeks.

Stories/Legends

The legend has it that Ares intentions were to always be the most powerful God among the rest of the Gods. Ares sustains his power by creating wars and then supporting one side helping them win, this way slowly but surely he gains more power. Ares went from having affairs, being kidnapped, to having battles and wars. Ares wasn’t born naturally the best fighter, at first he lost many battles, those losses gave him more experience and gave him more situational awareness. He became very tactical and used all his powers to his advantage and it was successful. The motivation for Ares came from all the hate people and Zeus had on him. Everyone looked at Ares as some kind of vengeful God who is just trying to be vicious, but Ares was actually instinctual, primitive, and passionate. His motive was not to be recognized as a hero, but because of all the hate he receives. Ares went through a time when he was kidnapped and held imprisoned behind bronze bars by two chthonic giants named Otus and Ephialtes. Luckily Hermes eventually rescued him and the tactics of Ares pursuing combat began.

Objects/Items/Rituals Associated

Ares was rarely included with the Greek rituals. The rituals were mostly directed towards Enyalios, where youths sacrificed young puppies before engaging battle at the Phoebaeum.

Talk to the world that man would be a smart animal.I can not war with this, only know how to make their plans to pursue long-term advantages, invented the wheel and general bits and no beast with more or fewer legs that can cope with his intelligence.

Great asset, held every sea appreciation.Up to a point, of course.Only robots are not stored knowledge.And when is that something else, another level, put his tail and spoil everything.See Freud, we are smart to sex.
That’s modern thinking.Greeks but saw things completely backwards.

Sofia and tail weaned
Intelligence is as feminine gender.Not the other, but Athena was the goddess.The Greeks had great respect for her and express their appreciation through tragedies and comedies that I worshiped them.But if you read a bit of attention to notice that almost everybody wanted to shoot him.

Do not sit in a discussion.I do not know how much was physical attraction (that just is not Aphrodite, or even Artemis), but the mind says this is the next level of communication, such as if you extract the essence of what your charm, as if you could itself other entity by sex.What makes me think that Greek men through their fantastic ability to name, said that wisdom is Sophia, she thus one that you can have a rule for it.

We now coming to believe that we are regularly to be smarter, but if you meet someone whose being it seems to hide some secret unsuspected new, open a new perspective on the world that I had not before, the first impulse , as these in fact, is to draw him and we are not satisfied until we succeed.Although, like most all cases, you may be asking yourself what was first, egg or chicken?

It is possible that the person who seems so extraordinary and so special is not only for that great attraction that exercise makes them pay more attention than others and therefore to hear more of the message it conveys.And so the mind chooses to be the largest recipient of an impulse otherwise.

And the circle is complete, the mind tells us we have learned something and appropriate, if we want to go to the reins of things, have sex transmitter new intellectual vision.And if we fail vision becomes pale and worthless, and what before seemed quite so important to give him full attention suddenly becomes insufficient before the accumulated frustration.

What we can not but conclude difficult to accept at first glance that the intellect is more important than a good fuck intelligent discussion.So as to reconcile them both the Greeks and the moderns with their Freud’s to say that sex makes us smarter if we have even worse if not.

Although aphrodisiacs are based more on cultural myths than facts, their charm continues until today, to the extent that people are still experimenting to spice up their sex lives. Throughout history people have experimented with various drinks, foods and drugs in hopes of finding any ingredient magical, powerful aphrodisiac which will enhance the sexual experience. That many of them resemble male or female genitals, or are even inspired by animal sexuality, is not accidental.
* Spanish Fly – aphrodisiac most famous of all time. Lyttle made from beetles of the species vesicatoria, having as main ingredient weighed:
- Irritate the bladder and urethra making to pump blood to the genitals. It creates a pleasant feeling of warmth but can permanently injure the urethra and can infect tissue genitourinary tract.
- Can cause an erection lasting or even permanent, or congestion of the vagina, both of which are often very painful.
- Can be poisonous and even fatal if long-term use.

* Oysters, clams and other seafood like sexual organs
* Rhino horn
* Banana, celery, asparagus and other foods in the form of phallus
* Honey – reminiscent of vaginal fluid
* Ginseng
* Chocolate
* Champagne and strawberries
* Chilly, curry and other spices or spicy foods – increase heart rate and sweat appears, this often during intercourse
* Bull’s testicles
* Yohimbine – an extract from the bark of the tree originally from West Africa, yohimbe. Although more studies are needed, the research shows that animals can help men who have difficulty maintaining an erection. But it does not seem to cause sexual arousal or desire.

However, until now, has proved the effectiveness of any aphrodisiac. In fact, as the case of musts Spanish, some of them can be harmful and even dangerous. It is also important to know that, as aphrodisiacs are not controlled by the Ministry of Health, you never know exactly what you buy when you see the bottle that bears the name “passion potion.”

Sometimes drugs are used as aphrodisiacs. Alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines and barbiturates, for example, help reduce and eliminate or produce feelings and inhibitions sensations leading to sexual arousal and desire.However, consumption of long periods of time or in large quantities can produce exactly the opposite, namely the lack of sex drive and even impotent. Among other side effects such as addiction, good consumer trial is often damaged and can make victims of sexual assaults, both as persecutors and the persecuted.

Another drug, amylase-nitrate-site, it seems that intensifies and prolongs the sensation of orgasm, probably due to intense pumping blood to the genitals and time perception obstructions. But perhaps because, at the same time, dizziness, headache, loss of consciousness, blood pressure and scared, which can be very dangerous.

Whether it works or not aphrodisiacs, the power of suggestion is key. If a person thinks a particular substance may improve the performance of her sex, appetite, and can heighten the pleasure, it is very likely that this will happen, even for a short period of time. Of course, a good company, intimacy, affection, trust and a horny partner may have the same effect.

Basil: Basil seems to stimulate sexual attraction and fertility. It also believes that this plant could induce a state of well being.

Chocolate: contains a stimulant called phenylethylamine, which induces a dreamlike state of good and similar to those caused by endorphins. Researchers believe that chocolate contains substances that affect the transmission in the brain and neurological substance similar to caffeine called teomobrina, a nervous system stimulant and a cardiac stimulant.

Honey: is a source of boron, a mineral that helps metabolize estrogen, the hormone directly involved in happiness, health and sexual satisfaction of women. Studies show that this mineral can also raise the level of blood testosterone, the hormone responsible for sexual attraction to both women and men.

Oysters: are rich in zinc, a mineral necessary for the synthesis of testosterone. This hormone contributes to increasing male libido in women.

Ginger: Ginger root can be eaten raw or as a condiment for various steaks. Stimulates blood circulation, thereby increasing libido.

Nutmeg: Nutmeg Chinese women believe that is an aphrodisiac and fertility increases.

Aphrodite was universally recognized as the Lady of Cyprus, the cosmopolitan island where Greek colonists and mariners were exposed at an early date to the cultures of the Near East. Because of the many similarities between Aphrodite and Semitic Ishtar/Astarte, and the lack of clear evidence for a Mycenaean Aphrodite, many scholars view the goddess of sexual desire as a relatively late addition to the Greek pantheon, borrowed from the Phoenicians. A persistent minority, however, argue that her roots were Indo European, and that she was a cousin to Ushas, the Vedic dawn goddess, brought to Cyprus by the Mycenaeans. A third view holds that her ancestor was a Bronze Age Cypriot goddess who incorporated both indigenous and Phoenician elements by the time the Greeks adopted her.

In poetry as in cult, she was associated with blooming gardens and all the paraphernalia of female beauty: perfumed textiles, jewels, and mirrors. Incense, dove sacrifices, and myrtle crowns were distinctive features of her worship. Aphrodite was typically honored at several smaller shrines in a given city rather than one major sanctuary, which indicates an important popular element in the development of her cult. Her sanctuaries often included a cult statue, which required housing, but only rarely were grandiose temples built for her. Similarly, few state festivals in her honor are attested except in the case of Aphrodite Pandemos, though private activities such as vows and banquets were common, particularly in connection with the securing of husbands or sea journeys safely completed. Though a mother, she is not a “mother goddess.” Above all, as in myth and poetry, she rules sexual unions of every variety, and is therefore incidentally associated with marriageand the conception of children.

This is one I thought was going to be boring. WRONG! You enjoy and comment! Or else I'll ... ok scary does NOT work for me.

Ares: God of war, and an extreme hot head.

           Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera. No one really liked him. He was usually pictured in as a young guy without clothes (Uhhh…) or a middle aged man WITH clothes on (Thank goodness). Even he people feared him and wouldn’t worship him.

            Ares was the god of war. Most myths have him-

A. Getting yelled at by the goddess of war Athena for being such an idiot,

B. Or him hooking up with Aphrodite, the goddess of love who was married to Hephatasus.

           I’ll cover the first area.

           Ares was more a god of bloodfrenzy than war itself. Athena was a strategist and only went into war for the justice. In other words, a complete opposite. I don’t know what ticked off Athena because I couldn’t find the original legend, but she was mad. It was during the Trojan War. Ares did or said something, and Athena threw a boulder at him. Other legends have her shooting him, but I prefer the boulder.

          Second part of the stories is with Aphrodite. I don’t know what the goddess saw in him, but I’m going to assume all she saw was how hot he was. Ares, well, nothing could compete with the love of war but she was hot. It was a love based on looks.

          Enter Hephatasus. Hephatasus was the god of the forge and not very good looking. He didn’t exactly like the fact that his wife was sleeping with Ares. So next time Ares and Aphrodite were together, Hephatasus let it slip about the affair. ALL the other male gods interrupted the two lovers and embaressed the two. That was a normal event. Ares and Aphrodite being made to look like idiots by Hephatasus. Another time he put a fine mesh net on a bed. (It was invisible). He grabbed them out using the bed later. This time he demanded they be punished, but they weren’t. (All the male gods were actually jealous.)

           Ares had a ‘love’ child (I’m emphasizing love for a reason) with Aphrodite who’s name was Eros, the god of sex. Eros’ name in another mythology is Cupid.

           Thats all! Thanks for reading!

People used aphrodisiacs for centuries to increase sexual appetite, arousal and sexual performance. Let's see what it really is an aphrodisiac, and what things are hidden under that term.

Bring Your Sex natural aphrodisiac!

Aphrodisiac ingredients are referred to evoke a feeling more intense sexual desire. These include certain foods, drinks, medicines or activities. Aphrodisiacs are named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Most things labeled as an aphrodisiac, increasing the sensitivity of the senses-sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing. This in turn may lead to intensification of sexual desire. If you take food, the most famous aphrodisiacs include chocolate, chili, oyster, ginger, almonds, garlic, avocado, cardamom, ginseng, and bananas. She would have found them even more, everyone can find a specific food or food that it acts as an aphrodisiac. Some cultures believe that sexual power supplies food resembling genitalia – such as bananas and oysters. Unfortunately in some areas is still regarded as an aphrodisiac powder horn rhino, which has the power to deliver men. Such scientifically untested myths are the result only that herd of rhinos is considerably smaller.

Regarding food, you can choose from an extensive list of foods to choose and prepare a partner, “sexy”dinner. We recommend to do something when you can eat your hands, and uždibovat each feeding. This will then give you the good wine, which is associated with other aphrodisiac. Alcohol is considered an aphrodisiac, but beware: Only to a certain extent. I’m sure you know the situation themselves, which blow over it with alcohol and then there’s nothing too exciting and not sexy. Aphrodisiac not only be food and drink, but also a partner such as foot massage or hot bath with jasmine essence. For many people, sexy and exciting, if they will get in shape and improve your fitness. But we still did not get the greatest aphrodisiac, and it is the respect between partners. They are the strongest sexual relationships based on mutual respect.

My research into Greek Mythology continues with Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.

Name: Aphrodite (Greek: Aφροδίτη, Aphroditē)
Also known as: Cythera, Cypris, Acidalia, Cerigo, Dione
Gender: Female
Goddess of: Love, lust, beauty, seduction, and pleasure
Married to: Hephaestus
Symbols: Dove, apple, scallop shell, and myrtle wreath
Roman Translation: Venus
Mother to: many (see below)
Child of: Uranus, Father of the Sky, Father of the gods

Aphrodite was born when Cronus castrated his father Uranus and threw the severed genitals into the sea. She was born of the sea foam, while the Erinyes emerged from the blood. Hesiod wrote that Uranus’ genitals “were carried over the sea a long time, and white foam arose from the immortal flesh; with it a girl grew” – this was Aphrodite, though by girl it is misleading, for she is said to have been born wholly as an adult.

The goddess of love was a creature of beauty incarnate, and Zeus feared that she would cause jealousy and fighting between the other gods. He therefore married her off to Hephaestus, the god of smithing, who was thought one of the most even-tempered gods. While he was overwhelmed to be married to such a woman of beauty, and crafted her beautiful jewelry, she was unhappy, and often sought the company of others, not only gods such as Ares, but also mensuch as Adonis.

Aphrodite was mother to many other gods, though she gave none to Hephaestus, her husband. With Ares, she had Phobos, Deimos, Adrestia, Harmonia, and the Erotes. She had Rhode with Poseidon, and with Hermes, she has Tyche, Peitho, Eunomia, and Hermaphroditos. With Dionysus, she had Priapus and the Charities: Thalia, Euprosyne, and Aglaea.

She also mothered three children conceived by men. With Adonis she produced Beroe, with Anchises she created Aeneas, and with Butes she birthed Eryx.
