David Wilkerson’s Visions for America and The World
In April 1973, David Wilkerson had a dramatic vision warning America and the world about the coming hour of global persecution and tribulation. David Wilkerson (1931 – 2011) was a charismatic Christian evangelist, famous for his book The Cross and the Switchblade. He was the addiction recovery program Teen Challenge founder, and the non-denominational Times Square Church in New York founding pastor.
Wilkerson’s widely distributed sermons that were known for being frank and direct. He emphasized such Christian beliefs as God’s holiness and righteousness, God’s love toward humans and especially Christian views of Jesus. Wilkerson tried to avoid categorizing Christians into distinct groups according to the denomination to which they belong. On 27 April 2011, Wilkerson was killed in a car crash in Texas. Before his death, he mentioned that several terrible calamities that will come to America and the world.
