Archaeologists from the Archaeological Institute of Ambon find tomb of ancient Islamic broadcaster Upuka Pandita Mahu Village Kailolo, Haruku Island. In some references the names associated with the name of Islam propagator figure named Ma Huang which is the guardian of Admiral Cheng Ho.

But not found evidence supporting whether Pandita Mahu is Ma Huang, bodyguard Admiral Cheng Ho. Archaeologists Wuri Handoko mengatkan Haruku Island has received the influence of Islam, among others, brought the preachers came from Arabia, Kingdom of Pasai Ocean, and the island of Java around the 15th century.

Generally, he said, they came through the Banda Islands, Central Maluku district. “Among the broadcasters, broadcaster, there is a man of Chinese descent named Ma Hwang. The locals call it by means lord Upuka Pandita Mahuang preachers Ma Hwang” he said.

He argues, based on various data and information regarding Pandita found Mahu or Ma Huang, the likely explanation is the antithesis of the previous western historian Anthony Reid is one of them.

Anthony, he said, explaining that the Cheng Ho’s expedition of 1371-1435 M never reach the Moluccas. In his explanation, he said, Reid also said China’s direct trade relations with the Moluccas only materialize until the mid-14th century AD, while the data on Haruku Island, found the influence of China, at least the mid-16th century.

“Studies on the Chinese elements in the repertory of Islamic culture is rather difficult, because the lack of archaeological data and historical archaeological sites that exist. Muslims are more convinced that the process of Islamization of the archipelago, especially in Java conducted by merchants and preachers or at least from the Arab Middle East, not China, “said Wuri Handoko.

According to researchers from the Tel Aviv University, they have uncovered eight teeth that indicate the earliest existence of modern man in Israel as early as about 400,000 years ago.

Israeli archaeologists have made a great discovery on human remains dating from 400,000 years ago, which may be the earliest traces of the human species. According to the leader of excavations in Israel, this challenges the conventional wisdom that Homo sapiens originated in Africa and will change the whole picture of evolution.

The excavation site where the teeth have been uncovered

Avi Gopher from the Tel Aviv University’s Institute of Archaeology states that the testing of stalagmites, stalactites and other material (found in the prehistoric Qesem cave, east of Tel Aviv in 2000) indicates that eight teeth uncovered there could be the earliest traces so far of our species.

The cave has been used for a period of about 250,000 years – from about 400,000 years ago to about 200,000 years ago. The teeth are scattered through the layers of the cave with some in the deeper part. This suggests that the teeth are about 400,000 years old and resemble those of other remains of modern man known scientifically as Homo sapiens found in Israel. As such, it could mean that modern man is in fact originated in what is now Israel.

The discovery calls into question the widely held view that Africa was the birthplace of modern man as it is accepted at the moment that the earliest Homo sapiens that we know is in east Africa which is about 200,000 years old.

The first teeth were discovered in 2006 but Avi Gopher and his team waited till they had collected several samples before publishing their findings. Prior to this, they had conducted years of testing using a variety of dating methods. However, he stressed that further research would be needed to solidify the claim.

Professor Avi Gopher and Dr Ran Barkai from the Institute of Archeology of Tel Aviv University are seen inspecting an archaeological site where ancient teeth have been discovered near Rosh Haain in central Israel

Digging continues at the cave with researchers hoping to uncover additional finds, such as skulls and bones that will enable them to confirm the findings published up to now, as well as to enhance their understanding of the evolution of mankind and their appearance.

In conclusion, the discovery could mean that Africa might not be the birthplace of modern man after all.

Life might remove our ancestors were not even so much as imagine monotonous....

Life might remove our ancestors were not even so much as imagine monotonous. Anthropologists have discovered numerous rock engravings throughout Europe, appearing to be animated versions of the early Bronze Age. They may have played a role in the human visual manifestations of those times.

Traces illustrating arts fighting, dancing and hunting, dating from the period between 4000 and 1000 BC. Are more than just pictures, according to researchers at Cambridge University and St Poelten Austrian Institute.

“Of course not moving pictures, but they created similar sequences of animation, which meant not only a show for eye and ear but these rocks are placed in locations with special resonance and strong echoes. This is why, engravings Stone not only still images, but “pictures” which they wrote a story the viewer’s mind, about the same as with cinema today, “said Frederick Baker, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge.

“Cinema” often depict ancient battles, dances and episodes of hunting, but never shows rarely portray scenes of death and women. Researchers will try to recreate these “movies” through computer technology to determine the succession of images and moving them as a cartoon. The project is developed in Valcamonica, northern Italian region of Lombardy, where is the highest concentration of these designs – about 100,000.

Archaeologists study past cultures through artifacts, or items which people have made,
used, or modified.

Some people believe archaeologists study dinosaurs. This is not true! Another thing that people think is that archaeologists treasure hunt, grave rob, and sell the artifacts they find. All this is also not true! The main thing to keep in mind is that archaeologists find answers to our past. In other words they study human history. So that we have better knowledge of our past, and where we came from.Archaeologists also study, and search for lost civilizations, ancient cities, and artifacts. One time there was an excavation in the Indus Valley, in Pakistan. During that excavation archaeologists found a 4000 year old seal, which had a carved figure of an animal, and some writing on it.

An archaeologists job is very important because if there were no archaeologists, then we wouldn’t know anything about our past, where we came from, or human history. Another reason why archaeologists are important is that when they find ancient artifacts and put them in the museum, then we get to see how thing like 4000, or maybe 2000 years ago looked like, and how different they were from how they are now.

Finding a site to explore takes a lot of time, work, and planning. Archaeologists think about what people need to stay alive. Some of those things include access to clean drinking water, a protected place to live, and easy access to trade routes. With this in mind it should come to no surprise to learn that archaeologists look for remains of civilizations along rivers, and streams. Archaeologists have explored around the world, basically everyplace on Earth, trying to unravel mysteries about our past!

An archaeologists job can be dangerous, and it can also be safe. It all depends, digging in a third world country where there is civil war, yes it’s very dangerous because you could easily fall seriously ill because water is not drinkable, and all the sanitary installations are lacking and there are all sorts of dangerous tropical diseases you might contract. Digging in a first nations site north of Toronto, barely half and hour from your home, no it’s not dangerous because it’s much easier. Weather it’s from the point of view of infectious diseases, or modern hospitals, and medical facilities.

If I could explore anywhere in the world, then I would go exploring in India because my parents are from there, so I’ll know exactly where to start my excavations. That’s why I chose India, rather than an unfamiliar country that I’ve never been to before! I hope my paragraph brought the majority of your questions related to archaeology, archaeologists, and excavations, to rest!

As archaeologists dig deeper in Jordan, more light is shed on the historical times of King Solomon. By proving a mine found 40 years ago to date back to the 10th century B.C., a probable contribution to Solomon’s filled treasuries is evident.

Treasure hunters have been looking for King Solomon’s gold mines and treasures for centuries, but never found them. In a place called Khirbat en-Nahas, translates to ruins of copper, archaeological excavations had started in the 1970s. So far, the site had been dated to the seventh century B.C., but new finds have shown that the mines had been used much longer.

Based on carbon dating methods and by finds of Egyptian art from the 10th century, the archaeologists are sure that the mines had been used in the times of King Solomon. The site is situated in Jordan in the ancient kingdom of Edom which was a subject vassal state to Israel at that time. Copper was a highly valued trade good and as much worth to the tyrant who controlled it then as to his modern Chinese counterparts.

It follows that the treasure hunters have been widely misled by the myths surrounding that ancient king who governed the united kingdom of Israel and Judea which had previously been reunited by brute force. More such mines should be situated nearer to the heartland of the kingdom, as a single mine would not account for the fabulous wealth with which Solomon is attributed.

Little is known of the historical king, as all that is known derives from a story in the bible. Probably he is mentioned in dispatches of that time in other kingdoms, but so far nobody could figure out what they might have named him. He must have been a great king for his time, as later storytellers heaped myth upon myth onto his name.

A later collection of common sayings was given his name to make it more important, and poetry was assigned to him as well. The picture shows him lecturing to his people as a teacher-king. He is reputed to have had 700 wives and 300 concubines, add the mythical queen of Sheba to arrive at 1001, the magical number for never ending. All these anecdotal tales were later collected and hodgepodged into one story which found place in a story book collection called the bible.

He must have been very rich, as he rebuilt Jerusalem after the war and erected the legendary first temple containing the mythical arch of the covenant. These riches could not have been amassed from one mine alone, and as Israel was constantly annexing neighbouring kingdoms more metal mines should be found in the surrounding countries. If one would take the bible by its word, a plan of expansion could probably be extradited, giving an order of preference by which Israel followed its imperialistic designs.

But no matter how much archaeological evidence there is or will be, the bible will remain a collection of stories contributed to by many writers over centuries, and the Editor cares not to comment.

Archaeologists have unearthed, a historical site, believed to be the boyhood home, of the first President of the United States, George Washington.

Archaeologists are having a field day, with what is one of the most important finds, in a very long time. They have unearthed the boyhood home, of the first President of the United States, George Washington, in Virginia. They were extremely thrilled to locate the area, after several dead ends. Washington is said to have lived in the home, from the time he was six years old, until he was twenty. From about the year 1732 to the year 1752, it is believed.

The George Washington Foundation, reports that the dig has uncovered thousands of pieces of artifacts. Some of them being, pieces of ceramic plates and bowls, toothbrush handles, pottery bits and hair rods or rollers, used for the stately wigs worn during that time.

The archaeologists are naturally very excited with their find, they have been searching for the spot, for seven years, and now they have hit gold, so to speak. They are still looking in the area for the families’ dairy house and the smoke house. They feel that many of our first president’s attributes and more of his roots, are buried, throughout the landscape of the property. They were able to locate the place where the fireplace stood in the home.

They are certain that this find will help them, fill in many of the holes in Washington’s life and history. So they continue to dig on the site, so far they have not had any luck locating the hatchet, that Washington allegedly used, to chop down that infamous cherry tree. But they are still looking, and finding many historical links to the past, this is truly a big, big dig, and of monumental importance to historians everywhere.
