I was starting to write an article on a convicted serial killer born in the USA of Scottish parents that upon his return to Scotland committed a number of crimes in Scotland in the 1950’s and became the third to last person to be executed in Scotland. During my research I got a little sidetracked and decided to now write about some of the odd or surprising crimes or misdemeanors that you could find yourself on the gallows for in the United Kingdom (or elsewhere) before this form of punishment was ended in the latter half of the 20th century.
