Schools nowadays teach our kids to be drones and not express themselves.

I recently watched a video on TED called Changing Education Paradigms by Sir Ken Robinson. It really opened my eyes to the failures of the modern school system. Did you know that the modern education system was conceived and structured around the economic state of the industrial revolution? There are tons of kids out there who supposedly have “ADHD”, because they can’t concentrate well in school. They are told to focus on their schoolwork because it will get them degrees and jobs. Or at least, they did during the industrial revolution, nowadays they don’t guarantee anything. How are children supposed to concentrate if they are constantly bombarded with distractions from the media? If children do not focus in school they are drugged and turned into drones who do anything they’re told. Most of the time, they can’t concentrate because of the environment they’re in, or they can’t learn by the methods that are being used. He talks about this one girl who was always moving and tapping her foot in class. The teacher recommended a doctor’s visit because she may have ADHD. Her mother took her to a doctor to be checked. The doctor put her in a room with a radio. They watched from outside the room as she danced for hours. They told her to come out and the doctor told her “You are a born dancer.” She later went on to become a famous Broadway actor and a multi-millionaire. To think that if it was a different doctor she would probably stuck working a checkout aisle at Wal-Mart.

About 2.5 million children in the United States take ADHD medications such as Ritalin and Adderall.

It seems like every week another child drops dead from sudden cardiac issues. Kids are dying while playing sports or engaging in other normal healthy activities. The question is are cardiac problems really sudden issues? With over 2.5 million kids on hard core stimulants such as Adderal or Ritlan isn’t it inevitable that some will develop serious cardiac damage from the drugs?

Doctors have speculated that there could be a connection because stimulants increase heart rate and have other cardiovascular effects. In a recent study funded by the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institute of Mental Health, The data of the study reports a significant association or signal between sudden unexplained death and the use of stimulant medication, specifically methylphenidate,” the study researchers concluded, referring to the chemical name of Ritalin. “While the data have limitations that preclude a definitive conclusion, our findings draw attention to the potential risks of stimulant medications for children and adolescents.” the out come of the study is that there were significantly more children taking stimulant drugs who suffered sudden, unexplained death.

To many parents and schools are using drugs to deal with behavior problems instead of disciplining and teaching appropriate behavior to kids. Using drugs to control kids is just plain wrong. I think that somewhe along the line we have forgotten that kids are supposed to be full of energy and mischief. Maybe if the kids had recess twice a day and gym class 3 to 4 times a week while in school, they wouldn’t have all the pent up energy that schools and parents are trying to do away with.

Then we have the other problem of teaching kids that it is OK to use drugs. How do we feed drugs to our kids daily and when they reach their teens turn around and tell them just say no to drugs? We are a country that relies heavily on pharmaceuticals for just about every little problem we have. We take drugs for elevated cholesterol rather then make dietary and life style changes. same for weight problems. If we get any little ache or pain we head to the medicine chest. We are a drug oriented society. Why wouldn’t we drug our children to keep them under control? Of course their are many folks that have serious health issues and pharmaceuticals are the only answer for them. But for those that are just taking drugs to avoid making important changes to resolve their problem, what kid of example are we setting for our kids? We top it all off by drugging the kid who is the class clown or who is a day dreamer instead of working with the child to redirect them. ICould it be that we are killing our kids by using the wrong approach. Will your child be the next kid to die from sudden cardiac arrest ? It just might happen if you are drugging them with adderal or Ritlan.

This division is feared personality syndrome child - who has seen it, but you know you could be the culprit of all this? Without knowing it, of course.

This division is feared personality syndrome child – who has seen it, but you know you could be the culprit of all this? Without knowing it, of course.

Let me set the scene.

Breakfast, which consisted of bagels with butter and jam, a bowl of sugary cereal and a glass full of artificial fruit punch to wash it down, was completed only moments before. His children innocent, sweet, quiet, serene and moved to the shock room and sit on the couch watching your favorite TV show, laughing and playing happily together. As you stand there watching her lovely bundles of joy can not deny the feelings of love wash over you. You are so delighted that created these little holy terrors, I mean precious beings! It’s so sweet it’s a Kodak moment!

But it’s better than his runners to run for the camera quickly, because within seconds of their beautiful children, have become precious in it and the demons! What was once a beautiful Kodak moment has become a hellish nightmare of screaming and shouting, the kids jumping from bed to bed, your ears are surprised shrieks of pain in the eyes witnessed a flying piece of hair! After an accident with a smile and not feel “Sorry mom, broke his favorite lamp!” As this adorable child superflies through the air once again!

And think, just now I was thinking how cute they were and how likely they are given another brother? However, due to what we are witnessing the impulsive thought has gone! Now you hear yourself shouting, “I brought you into this world, I can take you out!”

Ok so maybe he did not say, but we all know that they were no doubt thinking! … End of scene.

So what causes the fluctuations in the behavior of our children?

Today, we will look at your diet. This article will focus on some of the dietary interventions for the Indigo / ADD / ADHD children. These children are very sensitive, which are sensitive to their environment, what clothes they can use and the foods they eat. For children (and adults) to focus, you need to have nutritious food increases your energy and concentration. Most children begin their day by eating simple carbohydrates like cookies, muffins, donuts, cakes, donuts, cinnamon buns and sweetened cereals. (Incidentally, these products often contain MSG. A little addictive additive should not be eaten! But that’s another article).

Not surprisingly, most children behave crazy and can not concentrate in the classroom! They are bouncing from one end of the spectrum, high levels of sugar in the blood, unlike the spectrum, below normal levels of blood sugar. This can be seen in their behavior. This is the effect we refer to as a “high sugar content.” Consumption of simple sugars can contribute to its ups and downs of behavior such as anger, distraction, aggression, impulsivity, hyperactivity, etc. on the opposite end of the spatial feeling, tired, confused and distracted. Huh? I wonder if a change in diet is better than drugging our children with Ritalin? I am here to say yes it is!

Dr. Buresz Allen – “In 1996 the World Health Organization warned that Ritalin over-use has reached dangerous proportions Hopefully, being armed with the right information, you may be able to avoid using Ritalin or similar drugs The use of these .. drugs on the long term is questionable. Safety of the long-term use is simply unknown, but many dangerous side effects have been increasing. Ritalin, for example, can cause seizures and suppress growth, or it may cause angina pectoris, changes in blood pressure, depression or any of a long list of serious side effects. “

Dr. Robert Mendelsohn MD – “No one has been able to demonstrate that drugs such as Ritalin and Cylert improve the academic performance of children who take them …. The pupil is drugged to make life easier for his teacher (and some parents) do better and more productive for the child. “

I think the food can be used as a drug and that our diet is very important! It makes the body and mind rather avoid eating simple carbohydrates – anything made of refined flour or white pasta, bagels, white bread and cereals. Stop eating processed and chemically damaging pre-packaged foods. You know what’s in them? It is imperative to start reading the labels of foods you are feeding your children and yourself. Now I know you’re thinking big, what we eat? So back to eating like we did before shopping – organic and natural! It is unlikely that an organic store in your area. Large supermarket chains usually have a “small” organic produce section. You can also grow their own fruits and vegetables! Start your own garden or out of buying pots and put them in your window frames.

It is also important to take supplemental multi-vitamins and minerals, but watch the dye! Omega-3 oils, specifically fish oil, is probably the most important nutrient for a child Indigo / ADD / ADHD to take. Dr. Stoll’s book The Omega-3 connection is highly recommended reading! A study by Purdue University showed that kids low in Omega-3 essential fatty acids are significantly more likely to be hyperactive, have learning disorders, and to display behavioral problems. Omega-3 deficiencies have also been linked to dyslexia, violence, depression, memory problems, weight gain, cancer, heart disease, eczema, allergies, inflammatory diseases, arthritis, diabetes and many other conditions. Here are some food options to implement in your home. This change was made within the family unit is a change of lifestyle. You need to do their part, if the child can not eat something the whole family must make the decision that you can not. This helps your child in a very loving way instead of making him / her feel you are being punished. If your child feels that food is withheld from them because they see that you are eating, the food is sneaking behind your back. How can you tell a child that something is not right for them and you eat it? You should lead by example, especially with children!

The first most important substance required for the human body is water. Natural pure water and lots of it! Nutritionists recommend a minimum of 8 eight-ounce glasses a day, more if active. That does not mean you can consume eight cups of coffee (for adults) or eight glasses of juice so artificial that is made with water, so I have my ticket. Wrong! Pure water. Simple. There is no way to get around it! It is best to avoid substances that dehydrate the body, such as caffeine and alcohol. If you consume products of dehydration you need to consume more water to flush out toxins!

The diet consists of proteins, complex carbohydrates and fats. It is important to eat about every 2 to 3 hours to 3 hours before bedtime. This works out to eat about 6 times a day. Yes, I know this sounds like a lot but not really because of the small portions. When meals are consumed in this way that actually increases the metabolism so you burn more fat! His body is kept fed with proper nutrients and never has the opportunity to enter starvation mode where it actually stores fat and start cannibalizing muscle eats energy!

It is also important for your child to exercise every day. This is becoming increasingly rare for all new technological advances are making. Children learn by example. If you do not exercise, in most cases, nor will they. Start going for walks and bike rides or hiking, swimming, skating, etc. Make it fun! Life has become too serious. It’s time to relax and enjoy their children. They are only with you for a short time. Enjoy it while you can, just a couple of years to make a big impression as a parent. Always remember that what you teach your children, your children teach their children!

Each meal will consist of a protein, complex carbohydrate and a vegetable. Eating in this way requires discipline and planning ahead. Pre-cooked and pre-packaging a couple of days really helps reduce the cooking time. The portion size of each is the size of the palm of your hand. Example: You have selected a piece of chicken for a meal, if you were to place the piece of chicken in hand, not be larger than the size of the palm of your hand. The following lists are very useful small tools to start. They are not the only things you can eat!

More healthy quality of proteins: The first two mentioned are the best options (in my opinion) the following if you must consume animal products. If your child refuses to eat meat, please do not force! There are many foods available that can provide the needed daily protein intake.

• Protein Powder
• Soy-based Products
• Egg whites or substitutes
• Low-fat cottage cheese
• Chicken
• Turkey
• Tuna
• Salmon
• Orange Roughy
• Haddock
• Crab
• Lobster
• Shrimp
• Ground beef fat

More healthy quality of carbohydrates: organic products are most favorable and should really be considered! Please do not burden them with saturated fats!

• Baked potato
• Sweet potatoes
• Yam
• Steamed rice
• Steam wild rice
• Oatmeal
• Barley
• Beans
• Whole wheat bread
• Whole grains
• Corn
• Strawberries
• Melon
• Apple
• Orange
• Pears
• Kiwi

Healthier quality of vegetables, organic products are most favorable and should really be considered! Please do not burden them with saturated fats!

• Broccoli
• Asparagus
• Lettuce
• Carrots
• Cauliflower
• Green Beans
• green peppers
• Mushrooms
• Spinach
• Tomato
• Peas
• Brussels sprouts
• Col
• Artichoke
• Celery
• Zucchini
• Cucumber

Quality of healthier fats:

Despite popular belief, not all fats are bad. Saturated fats are bad, while unsaturated fats, in moderation, can actually be good for you. For example, one reason fish is a food healthy is because it contains essential fatty acids.

• Safflower oil
• Sesame oil
• Avocados

You are the guardian of his son’s land, change your diet and see them flourish in all areas of your life instead of poisoning with drugs. It’s time to take control of our lives and returning to basics. Eat as naturally as possible. You can find all sorts of great books out there with very healthy recipes. Do some research, your children deserve it!

The Feminization of Canadian Education.

What is feminization? It is an act of making something geared towards females. There was a time in our society when boys were doing significantly better than their female counterparts in school. In 1971 68% of university graduates were male, compared to women who represented 38% of the graduates. (Fernette, Zeman, 2008).That is when our society decided to rage “The War against Boys”. In Canada, traditional teaching methods were altered to better suit the needs of young girls, completely disregarding the male students. After years of tweaking and altering the curriculum and teaching styles, we are now entering an era when the girls are leading in all walks of education while boys are struggling to keep up. Also, today boys are also much more likely than girls to be misdiagnosed with a learning or behavioral problem as they are expected to live up to the behavioral standards of girls. Boys are falling behind girls in all subjects but the literacy gap between the two genders has increased greatly. In an attempt to equalize academic achievement, our education system has been feminized leading to boys lagging behind.

Biologically boys tend to be more active and energetic, which has lead to the misdiagnoses of many boys with learning disabilities and behavioral problems. Research has revealed, compared to girls young boys are four times more likely to have autism, three times more likely to be diagnosed with learning disabilities i.e. dyslexia and three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD(Hammer,2010). Which leads to the question, are some these boys misunderstood? “I think that sometimes they’re punished and expected to be seated quietly and admonished when they’re not conforming to some quiet, passive sorts of behaviors.” Says Douglas Grosse, professor at Nipissing University’s Schulich school of Education. Teachers tend to prefer children that are quieter and can sit still for periods of time, however young boys find this much more difficult than young girls to do so. The male brain is designed to renew and recharge by entering what is called the “rest state.”(Gurian, Stevens, 2004). During this state they may drift off to sleep without finishing an assignment, they may stop taking notes in class etc. To pay more attention boys may fidget, and tap pencils to stay awake which is often perceived as distracting and interruptive by teachers (Gurian,Stevens,2004).Abraham(2010) describes ADHD as a common childhood disorder with core features that include an inability to focus, and hyper and impulsive behavior. In Canada prescriptions for Ritalin (drug for ADHD) and amphetamine like drugs have increased to 2.9 million in 2009, which is a 55% increase in the last four years(Abraham,2010). Majority of these drugs are prescribed to children under the age of seventeen, and 75% of these drugs are prescribed to males (Abraham, 2010). This disproportionate data clearly suggests that teachers are often too quick to label an active boy with a disorder. “What are we drugging? Female teachers who don’t understand boys like to run and jump and shout-that’s what boys do.”says Jon Bradley professor of education at McGill University. According to Abraham (2010) Toronto parent Donald Bruce spent up to 1, 2000$ in psychological assessment for his daughter Megan who in grade 3 was reading in at the rate of a kindergartener. Donald recalls getting his daughter in a special class was a battle and that she was prescribed Ritalin in grade 7 for her disorder. The story was completely different when it came to their six year old son Zach who was earning A’s and B’s in school. During the first parent-teacher conference Zach’s teacher referred to him as “an active boy in class, vocal…a socializer” and suggested his parents to look into the drug Ritalin. Mr. Bruce sought professional help and a psychologist concluded that his son was perfectly normal. “We don’t have a biological test to rule out ADHD and that gives the rise to the possibility that ADHD maybe misdiagnosed or missed.” says Rosemary Tannock a psychologist at the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. The normal active behavior of boys is misleading teachers to falsely diagnose many young boys.

Boys of all ages are significantly behind their female counterparts in both reading and writing due to the feminization of reading content and writing expectations. Male teachers represent approx.20% of teachers in Canada (Abraham, 2010) therefore it is safe to assume that a typical high school English teacher is likely to be female. These female teachers are likely to choose books and novels they enjoyed as children as the reading content (Hammer2010). Thus, reading lists are often more appealing to girls and boys and stories of war and adventure might be replaced with stories of friendship and love. This might explain that boys who read at least 3 hours outside of school have decreased by 32% in the past 5 years. (Hammer,2010). Furthermore, if a young boy chooses to read a book outside of school he is unlikely to find books that interest him. Young boys prefer scary stories and magazines and only a third of libraries offer these as many female teacher and librarians may find the content inappropriate (Sokal, Laura et al,2005). Recently, in an Ottawa public school the female principal halted a read-aloud event by the author of the best seller Sir Fartsalot Hunts the Booger as she thought the names of the characters were unsuitable.(Hammer,2010). 24% of 2nd grade Canadian boys viewed reading as “feminine” and though unintentionally they may be getting this bias due to the female dominance in teaching and reading material (Sokal, Laura et al, 2005).

Teaching methods have been changed to better suit the needs of female students. Girls and Boys have different intellectual capabilities and they learn differently. Boys are motivated and excited about learning through contests and competitions i.e. spelling bees (Hughes, 2009).On the other hand, team work and cooperative tasks have proven to be more successful amongst girls (Hughes,2009). Our feminized education system has now replaced individual contests and competitions with teamwork and group tasks, which gives boys a disadvantage when it comes to learning. Consequently, 54.8% of boys reported being interested in what they were learning in class compared to 65.7% of females who were interested (Statistics Canada, 2008). Drop -out rates are also a reflection of this disengagement, from 2004-2005 in Quebec 7 out of 10 drop-outs were male(Lefebvre,2010). An ideal elementary class room for a boy has tables and chairs spread out with many different places to work and variety of seating options i.e. rugs, beanbags etc.(Gurian, Stevens,2004) A classroom in which boys are allowed some physical movement and more space to work helps them focus and learn more efficiently. However, this idealistic classroom is the exact opposite of a traditional classroom with desk and chairs and a learning environment where boys are expected to sit still and listen. A traditional classroom may work for most girls but is actually counterproductive when it comes to boys. Finally, traditionally lessons are taught predominately in words, through which boys have a harder time staying awake. They are likely to “zone out” or enter the “rest state”. The male brain can activate its cortical areas through physical-spatial functions. As a result, boys learn better lessons include symbols, abstractions, diagrams, objects moving though space than the uniformity of words.

In a nutshell, our education system had been feminized. Teaching styles are geared towards girls, the lack of boy friendly reading material has widened the literacy gap and we have started medicating once normal behavior of a boy. As a society we need to re-evaluate ourselves before we attempt to repair our flawed education system. Instead of thinking of education in terms of boys vs. girls we need to take action so that both genders can receive the best education possible. Boys are failing and no matter how much we try to ignore it, it is the sad truth. In an act ensure the success of our daughters we have created an education system that has failed our sons.

There has been an upsurge of school children prescribed Ritalin to manage their hyperactive behavior in order to understand group lessons also to behave at home. An answer to your child’s behavior issue can just rest in the foods he, or she is consuming on a daily basis. Have you candidly looked into the foods your child is eating and are addicted to?

Ritalin is prescribed for ADHD and narcolepsy, an uncontrollable desire to sleep during daylight hours. Ritalin is an addictive nervous system drug. Long-term use of Ritalin is known to inhibit the growth of children and creates a lasting codependency to prescription drugs.

Countless years later these same Ritalin ingesting children grow into becoming unstable adults with substance abuse issues. Those who seek medical advice for their clinical, behavioral issues are also controlled by psychiatric medications such as Prozac, Zoloft and Lithium, etcetera.

The constant medication dependency for this trouble laden child could have been avoided and alleviated if his parents, teacher or physician looked into the foods being frequently consuming. The absence of certain foods in a child’s diet creates nutritional deficiencies that fully masked itself in an unacceptable neural behavioral issue.

Iron deficiency in children manifests itself by creating a shortened attention span. A junk food diet is linked to “irrational behavior” because of the absence of the B vitamins in particular thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, and vitamin B12. The lack of B vitamins creates confusion, irritability, fatigue, depression, hysteria, emotional instability, mental confusion, headaches, anemia, forgetfulness, and apathy.

A solid answer to your child’s behavioral problem is to ensure your child is consuming a healthy diet consisting of sound sources of protein, complex carbohydrates, fiber, vegetables, fruit and fresh water and not a hefty heap of a nutrition void “junk food” of processed sugar, fat and salt.

The children who are well behaved and efficient learners are the ones who always eat healthy and are not hooked on nutritionally void junk food. The diet of these children consists of colorful foods that feverishly aide their intellectual development and growth with a quiet and friendly demeanor.

Finding the proper biochemical answer to your child’s behavior problem is one thousand times better than further masking his behavior issue with medications such as Ritalin that are loaded with side effects and known to cause a steady codependency to drug use of all kinds.

“Who’s the Boss?” 10 means to alpha demography ascendancy (time management, ambition setting, almanac tracking)

At aboriginal glance, it would accept that absolute cerebration and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) accept annihilation to do with one another. But abounding of us with ADD advance abrogating cerebration patterns because we become balked by our challenges and common animosity of accepting overwhelmed. This abrogating angle again makes it even harder for us to administer those challenges and move forward.

Practicing absolute cerebration allows humans with ADD to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases beatitude and motivation. This, in turn, allows us to absorb added time authoritative progress, and beneath time action down and stuck. The afterward tips accommodate applied suggestions that you can use to advice you about-face into added absolute cerebration patterns:

1. Take Acceptable Care of Yourself

It’s abundant easier to be absolute if you are bistro well, exercising, and accepting abundant rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For

Stresses and challenges don’t accept absolutely as bad if you are consistently reminding yourself of the things that are appropriate in life. Demography just 60 abnormal a day to stop and acknowledge the acceptable things will accomplish a huge difference.

3. Look for the Affidavit Instead of Authoritative Assumptions

A abhorrence of not accepting admired or accustomed sometimes leads us to accept that we apperceive what others are thinking, but our fears are usually not reality. If you accept a abhorrence that a acquaintance or ancestors member’s bad affection is due to something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly chattering about you if you about-face your back, allege up and ask them. Don’t decay time annoying that you did something amiss unless you accept affidavit that there is something to anguish about.

4. Refrain from Using Absolutes

Have you anytime told a accomplice “You’re ALWAYS late!” or complained to a acquaintance “You NEVER alarm me!”? Cerebration and speaking in absolutes like ‘always’ and ‘never’ makes the bearings accept worse than it is, and programs your academician into assertive that assertive humans are butterfingers of delivering.

5. Abstract From Abrogating Thoughts

Your thoughts can’t authority any ability over you if you don’t adjudicator them. If you apprehension yourself accepting a abrogating thought, abstract from it, attestant it, and don’t chase it.

6. Annihilate the “ANTs”

In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” – Automatic Abrogating Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually reactionary, like “Those humans are laughing, they accept to be talking about me,” or “The bang-up wants to see me? It accept to be bad!” If you apprehension these thoughts, apprehend that they are annihilation added than ANTs and annihilate them!

7. Practice Lovin’, Touchin’ & Squeezin’ (Your Accompany and Family)

You don’t accept to be an able to apperceive the allowances of a acceptable hug. Absolute concrete acquaintance with friends, admired ones, and even pets, is an burning pick-me-up. One analysis abstraction on this accountable had a waitress blow some of her barter on the arm as she handed them their checks. She accustomed college tips from these barter than from the ones she didn’t touch!

8. Increase Your Amusing Activity

By accretion amusing activity, you abatement loneliness. Surround yourself with healthy, blessed people, and their absolute activity will affect you in a absolute way!

9. Advance for an Organization, or Advice addition Person

Everyone feels acceptable afterwards helping. You can advance your time, your money, or your resources. The added absolute activity you put out into the world, the added you will accept in return.

10. Use Arrangement Interrupts to Combat Rumination

If you acquisition yourself ruminating, a abundant way to stop it is to arrest the arrangement and force yourself to do something absolutely different. Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative. It’s never productive, because it’s not rational or solution-oriented, it’s just boundless worry. Try alteration your concrete ambiance – go for a airing or sit outside. You could aswell alarm a friend, aces up a book, or about-face on some music.

When it comes to the accumulated world, agreement is appealing abundant the religion. To apperceive the things bare to do are the basics of productivity, but alternation and accepting a abiding apperception makes up the absolute affair to accurate productivity. There are those who accept to plan able-bodied even beneath pressure, but they’re aberrant ones and we are animal and imperfect. To get these little things like accent beneath our banknote will not break our problems. Sometimes it takes a bit of adventuresomeness to accept that we’re axis to be workaholics than acquaint ourselves that we’re not accomplishing our best.

The uniqueness of humanity in its makeup & experience makes it difficult to generalize from one person to the next.

Yet we are all supposed to fit into some neatly labeled little box somewhere according to society. It starts with family, although if you are lucky your family doesn’t try to box you up too much. Then it gets more pronounced with school, where they not only try to box you in but to gift wrap you too, & really don’t like it when you don’t fit, or when you try to fit but end up ripping all the wrapping paper off. After graduation there’s the boxes of job, marriage, relationships, further education, etc. When you don’t fit into the preconceived notion of what you are supposed to be you get a label like hyperactive, ADHD, Bi-polar, etc. “The Stepford Wives” was a scary book, to me it was made scary because a lot of institutions & people would love everyone to be the same so that we’d all fit in our little boxes & not make waves. Those institutions are not just schools, they are government, churches, even charitable organizations. Well, sorry folks, I like being a triangular peg in a round hole, fits me to a T. Hope it does you to, cause those people that want to box us up are the same people that can’t see the future, don’t like change & have no vision, no dreams. Most of the great inventors & visionaries have been square pegs in round holes. Einstein, Ben Franklin, Mohatma Ghandi, Queen Elizabeth I, to name a few, are people who did not fit into the preconceived notions of the social mores & norms that they grew up in, but they made discoveries & did things that changed the world. You have to be different to institute change, because if you are the same as everyone else why would anyone take any more notice of you than they do anyone else?

Some of the truth about stoners.

A stoners is a person who smokes pot on a day to day basis. Unlike drunks, who so often label stoners as leeches on society, stoners are quiet, friendly types who keep to themselves and are not confrontational in any way most of the time.

a pot smoker has a chill view on life in general and is a person who does not get themselves involved in the dramas that come along with life and take it as it goes, knows who they want to spend time with and don’t mess around with other people. they’re straight forward, without hidden motives. they know their values in life, and are artistic, but everyone is different so i cant speak for everyone. a true stoner will not steal, lie, and/or harm another person in Any way shape or form to get pot. society has outcast us as criminals, most stoners are law biting Citizens.the tweekers, crack heads, ect are the ones that will do just about Any thing to get their drug of choice, just think about everything harmful one person can do to another person and that’s what an addicts is capable of doing just to get their fix. stonersdon’t use weed as a typical drug, we smoke pot to calm down, to unwind after a long days work,on top of other uses but stoners respect pot and use it help them feel better, to help them eat when sick ect.

being a stoner is a way of life that many people follow but very few people understand. im trying to help people understand that stoners are generally good hard working people that want nothing more then to put food on their families plates a roof over their heads,to pay their bills, and keep a running vehicle and live a good full life like everyone else just a little more stoned with better smelling house plants.

when i was around 7 years old before i started smoking pot i was on methylphenidate hydrochloride-Ridlen/Ritalin for my ADHD it messed me up badly i was doing very crapy in school i wasn’t eating very much when i took Ritalin it basically made me into a retarded drone when i took Ritalin,i was a very unhappy kid,but after smoking my first joint i was at ease i could think clearly for once, i didn’t haft to force my self to eat,i started paying attention in school. after 14-15 years of smoking pot i still cant run that far, I’m happy about my life i have a beautiful 1 year old daughter a understanding loving wife, a car that breaks down every few months and a bag what else could a stoner want. maby a better car or bong.

life sucks sh!t happens so be kind don’t whine be happy and try not to worry.

Although special education textbooks often don't mention the obvious--ADD children and teens need daily exercise and a non-junk food diet. Thus, supervising diet and exercise along with discrete classroom management may be the keys to improved behavior in hyper-active children.

When confronted with hyperactive children and teens, most teachers are advised to repeat information, organize content systematically, and associate new material with familiar information. Admittedly, this isn’t much help particularly when one hyperactive student can disrupt a class of 25 other students. However, the Internet offers more than a few suggestions for better behavioral management:

Administrators and guidance counselors should encourage ADD students to participate in athletic activities before morning classes began. They should also suggest that they exercise at least part of the lunch hour.

Obviously, the school cafeteria should also eliminate obvious junk food from the diet (no sodas, candy, fast- and processed-foods). Instead ADD children and teens need plenty of Omega-3 fats (tuna, walnuts, salmon). In case the ADD student suffers from poor nutrition, they should take a Multi-vitamin daily.

Counselors should also stress the need for plenty of sleep nightly. Grade-school students need to go to bed by 9 while teens need to go to sleep at 10.

Now for the teaching techniques:

Parents and teachers can teach chunking techniques, breaking material into small segments. Everyone does this naturally when memorizing a phone number, for example.

Present material in conjunction with motor activity; for example, come up with songs and accompanying dances for memorizing the parts of speech, the multiplication tables, or how to punctuate a sentence.

Pair ADD studenst with study-buddies. In group activities, choose different study buddies every so often.

Provide feedback for good behavior for the ADD student as well as the entire class.

Provide for multi-sensory learners–audio, visual, kinetic.

Make rewards and consequences immediate.

Provide opportunity for seat breaks between activities.

Review instructions both to the class as a whole and to individual students.

While a lot of ADD students take Ritalin to manage their behavior, sometimes they forget to take it, or it doesn’t kick in when it is suppose to do so. Moreover, since proper diet, sufficient exercise, and adequate sleep also effect the behavior of all students, parents, teachers, and administrators should be aware of these natural “cures”.
