I’ve thought through these questions to cover most aspects of our lives. Based on the answers you give, you alone can work out how content and happy you are with the events and people in your life, and where you stand as a human being. Answer one question (honestly) before you go on to read the one that follows.

If your favourite celebrity showed an interest in you, would you stay with the person you’re now with?

If it Polygamy was legal and accepted as an optional lifestyle, would take another spouse or would you be happy with just your present one?

If you worked out a way to get into your bank vault without being spotted, would you rob it?

If you were given £20,000, would you pay off your debts or buy a new car?

If you were forced to give up your savings and assets in exchange for one thing, what would that be?

If you inherited a large sum of money from a wealthy friend, would you let your siblings know about it?

If scientists detected a rogue gene which convinced you that your young child would grow up to be a criminal, would you agree to give him/her up?

If it was proved today that your first born was switched at birth, would you look for the baby you lost?

If you were rich beyond your wildest dreams, which of your friends would you still stay close to, and allow to share in your wealth?

The home you’ve always wanted is finally within your reach, but your best friend would be struck down with ill health for the rest of his/her life if you made a grab for it. Would you still move in?

If cosmetic surgery was available as standard on your current health care plan, would you have your appearance changed?

If it was proved that your mobile phone gave you cancer, would you still be tempted to use it?

If your parents were just people your own age, would you like them enough to be friends with them?

Would you walk away and leave your present life behind you if someone offered you one million pounds for it?

If you were forced to give one person a chance to say sorry to you so you could forgive him/her and move on who would it be?

If you could get automatic forgiveness from one person in the world, who would it be?

If you were given one extra minute at death to write down one thing for the world to remember you for, what would it be?

If killing the people who wronged you was acceptable, would you?

If achieving the one talent in your life that you’ve always wished to have meant that your sibling would lose the thing they’re best at, would you take it?

If someone offered to pay you to leave your job, would you give and work out your three month’s notice?

Is the law keeping you from being unlawful? Is the fear of being alone the bond that stands between you and the person you profess to love? Do you give unconditional love or do you expect something in return? Are you truly contented with the choices you’ve made or are you just hanging on to what ever slaps you in the face?

Are you the person you thought you were deep within your heart? Do the people around you mean less or more than you say they do?

Use the information that have struck your realisation to change the things you no longer like about yourself and your life.

It's great to be yourself! How much greater and more enjoyable would it be if you had to spend 24/7 with a better you. Here are 10 simple ways to becoming a more charming you.

We have recently looked at ways to make another person’s day here where we discussed how a simple act could make a significant difference in someone else’s life. Here we’ll look at things we can do which will not only make someone else’s day better, but by mere practise, enhance our own growth and development into a better, more charming person. These following actions enrich our personality and make us better for doing them.

Let the person with the child in the back seat have the parking space you spotted first. It means the same to them as it would to you, if you were out with your child. Sacrifice of self alleviates the soul of greed and petty worries about material gains. Done often (like the people who volunteer at soup kitchens) threaten to cure it almost entirely.

Even when you’re in a hurry, if you’re in your car, stop and allow pedestrians walking in the rain cross the street. There is no guarantee that the cars behind you would stop unless you do so, and make them have to. Forcing ourselves to wait, even when we’re in a hurry, develops patience

On paydays buy a take out meal for someone you think may be struggling. A person who’s just lost his/her job, a widow/widower, or a house bound neighbour. Not only would this help to give them a bright spark to an otherwise dull life, it would make you feel as though your wages have been fully and completely earned. We all have days in which we don’t do as much as we can at our work places. Finding time to balance this out, helps us to feel less slothful.

Pay for the stamps the pensioner beside you at the post office, is rummaging in his/her wallet for change to buy. Giving a little helps us to feel better about the many ways in which we over spend on ourselves. Putting a smile on someone else’s face goes a long way to putting joy in our hearts.

Offer to go to the weighing in of someone who’s trying but struggling to lose weight in their weight loss group, or offer to join the group with them. All they need is a bit of encouragement. Being a good friend, even when we don’t feel like it, cultivates within us, care and concern for other people. Even if your heart is not into it at first, like in every thing else, practise soon becomes perfection.

Now and then, send flowers to a friend who is single and finds it hard to date. On valentine day, send him/her chocolates and a card. This one is just to be nice, soon you’ll be thinking of lots more fantastic ways to be a friend.

Share something close to your heart with a friend who is struggling. Sometimes we need to hear about other people’s problems to put our own in perspective. We tend to think that we’re the only ones suffering out of the circle of our friends. When we hear about other people’s problems, ours don’t seem so depressing after all. It’s only human nature.

If a friend is having a wedding or sadly, a funeral, offer to transport their visitors or provide a couple of meals if you can. This goes a long way with someone who has a lot on their plate. Be dependable, someone people know they can always trust to be thoughtful. Let your name, when thought of, conjure up dependability, practically and honesty.

Have a “bashing” day for a friend who’s just suffered a break-up. If you’re a girl, invite her girlfriends over (if you’re a bloke, you may have to promise the blokes a slap up meal to tempt them over). Have a good rave of all the men you all have ever broken up with, or those who’ve left you. Organise a safe place to burn old pictures and little tokens of his she may have kept. Let her weep and have a good old cry all around. You’d be surprised how much this helps everyone involved. It’s great to enrich your funny mischievous side, and what better way to give vent to it, than to do so to help someone.

If you pray for or do something good for a person you do not like very much, you’ll find that the dislike you feel, ebbing away with every good deed/prayer. If this is someone you have to see everyday (colleague e.g) feeling better about this person would do you more good than it would them. Just to prove this wrong, try it!
