This is an attempt to gather and compare the net-worth and fortunes of historical figures against one another. Inflation and other factors devalue currency over time; economies of different regions over time periods; and economies' produced goods, commodities, and services over time. These are from what I have been able to discover are the wealthiest people of all time. I may have missed a few but these prove to be the most interesting and there stories all have one thing in common. All had vast fortunes and all had vast power.

Alan Rufus

A friend of William the Conqueror during the Norman invasion of Britain, Alan Rufus, who was also known as Alain le Roux or Alan the Red, received some 250,000 acres (1,000 km2) in land grants as a reward from William for his friendship. His property stretched throughout Yorkshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and London, totaling some £11,000 by the time of his death in 1093. This would make Alan Rufus the wealthiest Briton in all the history of the British Isles. His fortune was estimated to be equivalent to £81.33 billion, or roughly $162.74 billion, in 2007.

Musa I

Musa I, Mansa of Mali, more commonly referred to simply as Mansa Musa, ascended to the throne of the wealthy Mali Empire in 1312. Musa traveled with 60,000 men, in addition to 12,000 slaves, 500 of which marched before the mansa dressed in silken robes and golden staffs. There were 80 camels in the train that are said to have carried anywhere from 50 to 300 pounds each of gold dust. This entire Caravan could be evaluated in terms of today at more than $400 billion.

Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov

Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, was the emperor of the Russian Empire from 1894 until the February Revolution of 1917. By the time of his assassination, Somoza’s wealth was estimated at $400 million. The Somoza fortune grew as other family members succeeded each other in power. In 1978, their wealth was calculated at some $2 billion to $6 billion.

President Nixon received a contribution of a million dollars from Anastasio Somoza Debayle for the Nixon campaign in 1972, according to a Central America foreign minister who traveled to Washington, DC with Somoza’s mother; Salvadora DeBayle de Somoza. She had asked the minister what his country was contributing to the campaign. When the foreign minister said “nothing”, Salvadora rebuked him “You people are so hopeless, we are giving a million and, as head of the family, I’m taking it up to him”.

• Henry Ford

Inventor of the first car, he originally started fives different businesses which all failed and let him broke. He later founded Ford motors.

• Bill Gates

Dropped out of Harvard, first business ended as a failure. Doesn’t seem like a road to success does it? Well now he’s worth $61 billion.

• R.H. Macy

Attempted to make seven businesses which all failed before opening Macy’s in New York. I guess eighth times a charm?

• Walt Disney

Fired from a newspaper because “He lacked imagination and had no good ideas,” and later failed at starting several businesses. His name now is known by basically everyone.

• Charles Schultz

Every comic strip he ever made denied by his school’s newspaper, and even denied by Disney himself! Didn’t look to good for future creator of the beloved Peanuts crew.

• Isaac Newton

Failed in school and then stuck in charge of his family’s farm. Failed at that, so his uncle took over and sent him off to Cambridge where he became the genius known today.

• Albert Einstein

Didn’t speak until he was four, didn’t read until he was seven, an later denied to Zurich Polytechnic School. Oh and his parents thought he was going to be disabled and antisocial.

• Elvis Presley

He wasn’t always the King. After one performance he was told “You ain’t going nowhere, son. You ought to go back to driving a truck.” I guess he showed him.

•Harland David Sanders

Better known as Colonel Sanders of KFC. Had his famous chicken recipe denied 1,009 times until a recipe accepted it.

• Thomas Edison

Told he was “too stupid to learn anything” and then fired from his first two jobs. Later failed 1,000 times to make a lightbulb until he finally got it right.

African circumcision in science dailyBadan World Health Organization (WHO) and world leaders are now busy campaigning for circumcised men to prevent the threat of infectious diseases that kill HIV. The campaign is expected to increase the number of men who are circumcised especially in eastern and southern African countries.

HIV experts from Population Services International (PSI) Krishna Jafa count if awareness of men in eastern and southern Africa in both adult and newborn male infant circumcision can be increased to 80 percent then there will be 4 million African men who survived the threat of HIV.

More and more men who are circumcised can also save health care costs for HIV U.S. $ 20.2 billion for the budget year 2009-2025.

“With a slim resources, we must focus on methods that have proven effective in preventing HIV transmission such as through circumcision. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Bill Gates in his speech also called for increasing the number of men are circumcised,” says Krishna Jafa, as quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (21/07/2010).

While research by WHO showed male circumcision can reduce HIV risk by 60 percent. Circumcision is expected to reduce the number of new HIV infections by using the techniques and better equipment, and training for staff who do.

In the new system was pioneered, a team of two doctors and three nurses able to circumcise four people at the same time and increase the average number of operations per hour 3 to 10 operations per hour. After more than 12 months of this system, about 6,500 people had been circumcised.

The study also shows that the quality of this procedure remains a good thing to do. Moreover, there are no adverse side effects reported after circumcision.

PSI study conducted found that Zimbabwe as a country have an average level of adult HIV rate of 13.7 percent and male circumcision are only about 10 percent. But if 80 percent of male circumcision, it can prevent the possibility of 750 new HIV infections.

Microsoft boss Bill Gates through the Gates Foundation has spent over U.S. $ 34 billion to combat HIV. The AIDS conference on Monday he said he was surprised by the number of men in Africa who want to be circumcised in order to reduce the risk of contracting HIV. This amount is far more than he expected.

The Importance of An Education.

Long ago when your parents or probably your grandparents were growing up it was not so uncommon for a child not to finish high school or not to go further and elementary school, as for the amount of people that went to college back then was by far less than the amount today. This could have been done because many jobs didn’t not require much school also trade jobs such as plumbers, carpenters and electricians were much more easily available than today. Now thing are a bit different, it has become much harder for you to get a decent job or a job on the whole without and education.

Especially in the corporate whole this has become extremely hard and controversial. Many time you have an employee working in the business from when it starting out and can easily run the organization but most originations now require most managers and top lines employees to have degrees of some sort in order to gain a position. So even if you are competent enough or probably the best person the to the work and you don’t have a good education then the chances are you may not get the job.

Today having a bachelor’s degrees is equivalent to having a high school diploma back in the 1970’s that’s to show you how far educations has come. Now although there are many of famous movies stars, musicians, athletes and even billionaires that dropped out of college and some who never even finished high school, you still have to remember that this is just a some percentage of people that choose that life style where as you don’t hear about the other 90 percent who did not have such good results from doing so. So understanding the importance of an education is need for everyone.

Wake up America! Quit believing the Nightly News and newscasters that only spew what is written for them.
The state of the U.S. Economy is fast approaching a dangerous moment in time. No matter who wins the election we are in trouble economically.

Do you really believe the state of the economy is getting BETTER? Are you really better off now than you were 1 year ago, or 2 years ago or 5 years ago, or even 10 years ago?

Look at these facts some taken from Federal agency reports in the last 6 months to a year:

1. 88 millions people are out of work for real….not all of them are filinf or on unemployment.

2. 1 out of every 7 people in America gets food stamps or help from food banks.

3. 1 in 4 homeowners owe more than their house is worth.

4. The government reports 9.5 million homeowners in America are at risk within the next 6-10 months of foreclosure.

5. Economic forecasters from the halls of the Ivy League colleges state only 56% of college graduates will find a job in the field they received their degree in…………..and they will probably not be able to find a job PERIOD!

6. SOME VERY CREDIBLE ECONOMIC FORECASTER SAY THE REAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN AMERICA IS 19.6%.

7. 57% of All American children are living in home that score below the proverty index.

8. In 2006 The Bureau of Labor Statistics saidx 16.8 million people were self employed. The month the reports state only 14.5 million are self employed. Small businesses are folding rapidly acros the country.

9. The state of Nevada has the highest home forecolsure rate for over 59 months……hey Harry Reid what are you doing for your people back home?

10. 19-25 % of all men ages 19 to 30 are living with their parents!!!!!!

And here is one more you won’t believe—- If millionaire Bill Gates gave all his meny to the U.S. Government it would only cover 15

It is the photo that Friday: Like a drowned rat Kim Kardashian is on the red carpet. Her black outfit is completely covered with white dust. Ironically, at the launch of her own perfume, it had caught the reality star. But with this "fate" the young lady is not only God knows.

In a hotel in Hollywood, it was overtaken by the former basketball player Kris Humphrey was too tempting, but also its lift, consisting of black trousers, a matching black blazer and a dark blue blouse. For a previously unspecified known woman from the audience obviously an invitation to the flour attack – because to such it is said to have acted well.

Kim Kardashian took it anyway left: Against the meantime been arrested and now again at liberty, they want to proceed located assailant, according to its spokesman probably not even legal. “This is probably the weirdest, strangest thing that ever happened to me,” she summed up the irruption of the unexpected cloud of dust along about themselves. Stripping carry on – as their motto. After a short purge, she came back and went on as if nothing had happened.

The flour attack last Friday arouses among them also memories of past incidents of this kind all too well is remembered as the flour attack on media mogul Rupert Murdoch in July 2011 (his wife grabbed then a lightning-fast

Even Tony Blair has been caught – and this despite an expensive security system that was installed for 600,000 pounds in the House of Commons. The “Fathers4Justice” activist Ron Davies could not stop the in May 2004.

Stir and caused the incident on the red carpet of the Oscars last, as Ryan Seacrest of Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen over with the supposed ashes of Kim Jong Il was overwhelmed.

Another “nice” was to see Bill Gates in February 1998 during a meeting in Brussels. Noël Godin attacker later called the attack “symbolic”, directed against the whole hierarchical system.

Even teen heartthrob Justin Bieber had been targeted by people who were inclined towards him, apparently less than the millions of “Beliebers” all over the world. During a concert in Sydney in May last year struck a bad egg thrower. However, were quick to speculate that the whole might have been a staged action.

Mitt Romney has also summon a particularly “nice” attack. About the Republicans, it rained in the course of his campaign a “glitter bomb.” The action that had taken place this February in Denver was, incidentally, is not the first attack of its kind on the politician.

I’m just a writer and some times I just run out of thing to say; And I get on tweeter and read what other tweeters and I also get on chat and talk with others too. I try to chat I’m a listener by nature no matter what you say I generally listen; I ask questions some are bizarre as hell but it’s just me trying to see where the rabbit hole ends generally I mean no harm; I’m a student of human nature too your never to old to learn some thing new. well I was just called a moron by daggy and I told him at least I’m smarter then you are that a big comfort to me. we need a strong middle class and with out unions there wouldn’t be one that doesn’t take a high IQ to figure that out. Well above the average Republican I Q of 75 or less and yes that includes those in office too loll.

If there’s a reason for our economy not being in full recovery we have to look back at 2009 then the tea party started the billionaire and the GOP had it minions protesting tax hikes; Which now have the backing of people like Bill Gates And Mr Buffet went around the country screaming Socialism. Then in 2010 They gained the majority in the house of so call representatives and even the things both sides agreed on couldn’t pass the house and my guess is some of what came out of the house had some in it that the senate couldn’t pass or the president would veto if it got to his desk. Economics101 says the more worker you have the more buyers you have too Not just the rich benefit from this so do the working class and the middle call too; Like the president said these are American values and this is the reason we aren’t in full recovery right now instead of autism or cutting which don’t work to growing it . http://youtu.be/WcfxFYd9ONM; monster@e0.monster.com; http://techbuysmembers.com/L2wucGhwPzg3MDI5NyYxNTk1MCZzYmppZD0xODAwMTk?a=2544&o=341&c=111&l=0&subcd=sp5wl29yWinterJobsSP5wl29GMB20120130. http://www.job.com/my.job/jslog/s=2/hL=9/us=600/x=a0d22fa8-e00f-4a74-8247-1ffbffc91213/?rt=/my.job/am/tb=3/

Microsoft founder Bill Gates talks about the search for meaning in Davos, the misappropriation of aid and development meetings in back rooms.

The students in the “Old Theatre” in the prestigious London School Of Economics greet him with friendly applause, but her true passion can only be seen on the giant screen on the wall, which reflects all of their tweets, which they in their laptops, smartphones and tablets Send Auditorium. “Bill has just arrived – exciting,” writes one. “Chop the most in this room and tap into their iPads and iPhones and other Apple products – that is a must hurt him,” writes another.

The days when Microsoft founder Bill Gates upset still about comparisons with his rival Apple lie back for some time. Gates wants to come to talk about the successes of his foundation, which in times of financial crises, the fight against malaria, AIDS in developing countries continue to lead and finance. His talk will be broadcast worldwide on the Internet, and while he talks, tweets and blogs with the world. Virtual pat on the back for the second-richest man in the world, rising for years in his role of the good Samaritan and is now more excited for it to be developing new vaccines, rather than to sell new IT products.

Mr. Gates, the founder of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Klaus Schwab, has now provided with an unusually open form of self-criticism for excitement: “We have failed to learn our lessons from the financial crisis of 2009,” he said, “Capitalism in its present form does not fit into the world around us. “Do you share his view?

Did he really say that?

Did he, in a newspaper interview.

I’m always cautious in such matters. But if he has said so, as you quote it now, then I do not agree with him.

Why not?

What bothers me is currently a bit of the fuzziness of the concept of capitalism. Since many things are equal, this is not the same. The form of capitalism in Germany is different than in the United States and Great Britain or – quite the other extreme: in China. What I’m saying: It is a bit vague when one tries to understand the financial and debt crisis in a blanket criticism of capitalism. Take Canada. The country had no major financial or currency crisis. But the Canadians have a capitalist system. The same applies to Australia. It’s not like that now, through every country attracts a huge crack, because capitalism shook the world. What I now want to not play down the serious problems in Europe and elsewhere. My concern at first just a different perspective. As the housing bubble burst in the U.S., the consequences were disastrous. The question of how this could happen, would have deserved an answer until today. Europe has to deal with the financial and debt crisis, Japan also has a severe economic crisis behind them – but the crises differ in parts.

personal

Bill Gates, on 28 Born October 1955 in Seattle, founded in 1975 the Microsoft Corporation, which was in the following years into an IT giant, and Gates was one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. In 2008 he retired from the daily business and founded with his wife, the “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation”, whose aim is to fight poverty and diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in developing countries. With an estimated capital of 30 billion U.S. dollars, the Foundation is the largest non-governmental organization.

This is in Germany, Europe and now also perceived in Davos dramatic, fundamental doubts about the system are getting louder. Many have trouble now enumerate how often had the euro rescue package will now be increased already.

I will make you now a suggestion: If you do not end your readers a break to the debates on the offer unending financial and debt crisis, want to write for a change, that it was possible not least thanks to successful development assistance, the number of malaria to reduce deaths and reduce the spread of polio in India for example entirely. Because of the vaccination campaign was initiated by us with it in India last year, no one more new infection. This is phenomenal. We are going to reduce the inequality in the world slowly. Many poor countries have good growth rates. Countries like South Korea or India, who got into the 60s yet development assistance, have become donors themselves. We are making progress. It is not that the whole world darkens, just because many rich countries are currently suffering from a malaise. But they have to solve their problems.

Angela Merkel has defended her opening speech at Davos in rigid austerity in the euro crisis. How will you convince leaders in this situation, the fact that they all emphasize financial constraints should not be mixed development aid?

By telling you in mind for example, lead that I control the spending of my foundation rock hard and then check to see how effective they were.

Since you have some states seem a little ahead.

We would not continue to provide our Foundation with hundreds of millions for the fight against extreme poverty and diseases such as AIDS, malaria and polio, if we could not prove: Our commitment to helping people. We achieve positive results. Which I present in Davos.

They present the goals and successes of your foundation with as much verve as before, the Xbox console from Microsoft. What drives you to it?

You see, the poorest of the poor have no lobby and certainly not in times of crisis like this. I know whereof I speak. I travel constantly dying in countries where children suffer preventable illnesses among, them. If I see a child suffering from cholera, this little dehydrated body, that’s terrible. I give these people a voice. I listened to you. And I use this position. Because despite all the success in fighting disease still die every year eight million children from malaria, tuberculosis and other diseases that occur in the rich countries have long ceased. Eight million! It always irritates me again when I see how post-disaster in which hundreds or thousands are killed, the world’s sympathy every time is enormous in size. The incredible number of eight million childhood deaths each year, however, throws no comparable outrage. Because it is abstract, is harder to grasp. The number and the fates that are behind it have not a lot of attention. Unless I stand on a podium in London, Brussels and Davos.

Many political observers criticized for years, would only talk in Davos and achieved nothing. Do you share that skepticism?

Let me give you a lot of conversations in back rooms, with heads of state from Africa and elsewhere. Then I tell them exactly which structures in our cooperation must be improved. Specifically, I’m meeting with representatives from Pakistan, this time to talk with them about the containment of polio. Apart from some African countries like Nigeria is polio in Afghanistan and Pakistan, especially in a problem. In Pakistan, there was even back in 2011 an increase of polio cases. India has shown that we can eradicate this disease – we have brought vaccines back then even in flooded areas. These are success stories, which I can show.

The one in Europe but hardly notice because we are all too busy with the euro crisis?

There are many countries in Europe, the effort, despite the budgetary constraints and financial problems in meeting their obligations. To increase their commitment to development aid by 2015 to 0.7 percent of gross domestic product. UK is one example, to do so. Why does Cameron mean? Because poverty reduction for the British is a value in itself, in which they believe, where they hold. And of course the world now looks to Germany.

Angela Merkel has warned in Davos, one should not overwhelm Germany. The Federal Ministry of Finance plans anticipate for 2013, save in development assistance more than 581 million euros. You have told us two years ago, that you have a private “list of shame” on the politicians are who have not met their commitments. Back then you had quoted Berlusconi. You have now bookmarked Angela Merkel?

Germany is doing his best. The question is, will it make the necessary increase in order to reach the promised 0.7 percent of gross domestic product? One must also qualify: There is probably no country that has fulfilled its commitments hundred percent. Most companies, however, serious efforts to comply. The only country that has painted in development assistance much more than we had feared this is still Italy. But there may indeed provide the change of government the ability to arrange things anew.

A year ago, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, to help you significantly with your foundation, because of the misappropriation of funds become widespread criticism. The organization itself had announced it had been embezzled from the total budget of $ 21 billion 34 million in Mauritania, Djibouti, Mali and Zambia. Despite the transparency of the echo in the media and politics was devastating. Are you frustrated by that?

It is very unfortunate that just such an exemplary organization that has made in fighting AIDS and malaria major successes, such was under fire. Since then many in the media was biased. The Fund had the abuse been made public in July 2010, until October was noticed a journalist. Then it picked up the other media. In the end, in many headlines: Two-thirds of the budget had been embezzled, which was true not easy. And then it was immediately followed by: What actually sitting in this fund because of idiots?

Did that hit you personally?

You see, the Gates Foundation is by far the largest non-governmental sponsor of the Global Fund, which this year will be ten years old by the way. For this reason I have now announced that we will continue to support the fund with $ 750 million. Since its founding in 2002, we have to fund $ 650 million dollars made available. Why? Because he does an exemplary job, because he carried his illness prevention in 150 countries every month, save 100 000 lives.

The success of the Fund are also controversial among experts. Still, that corrupt officials and politicians in the recipient countries embezzled $ 39 million, is more than just a footnote, right?

I knew of it before it was in the media. And it is enormously important that the Fund makes such cases public. He has responded, improved controls and improved internal structures. But if you want to help the poorest of the poor in these countries, you can never completely rule out that a small portion of the money falls victim to corruption. But the crucial question is: If I have saved a few thousand dollars with one life and one of this sum, or two percent were victims of corruption, then what is the implication of this? I say: Then let me die, people prefer to continue, because I do not accept such forms of corruption? Or I take it into account that I abuse not after all the checks always rule do? I’ve decided to support the Global Fund to continue, even in countries where corruption is a problem. I find much more problematic utilities that do not report the abuse of funds. Just ask other organizations, whether they were similar to those corruption cases. Most will probably answer you. “No, no, everything is fine with us, is billed as clean,” If you hear something, you should turn it into a headline.

Have you ever really thought about ending your mission as an influential Samaritan and go into politics?

No, I would not be particularly suitable for running for political office.

We’ll take it from you do not.

My role is different, but an important one. I finance with the Gates Foundation, the research for new vaccines, and I am a speaker for achieving the success that we do. I stand, not least because of my past, Microsoft, for a certain credibility in terms of the effectiveness and sustainability of our commitment. And believe me, I can be very hard, when things are not done properly. Unlike in politics, I’m not in my foundation in my fight against disease and poverty constrained by a limited tenure. I know I will still fight in 15 years against malaria and other preventable diseases. In politics, I would not have such staying power.

The Foundation gives you more freedom?

She gives me a different kind of freedom, as I have in politics. But you do not misunderstand me: we need for our success powerful political leaders such as Cameron in the UK, Stoltenberg of Norway. There are few heroes in this game.

They themselves want to be one?

I have a different role.

The interview was conducted by Martin Scholz.
