When I was in Boarding School, I was just fifteen-years old, when guy came into my room, ordered me by knife point to take off my clothes then raped me. I strongly remember the House Mother was extremely snide about it. She blamed me for not keeping my door locked. My rapist got off scott free.

And then, I never told another soul about my traumatic happening. I even managed to block it out of my mind for ten years.

But during those years of lying to myself for what happened, I wondered why I was just a low down piece of meat. Why I never wanted to go out with guys, because I knew what they wanted. I just THOUGHT that men only considered me to be a wham bam thankyou mam.

That’s when I openly talked about it to people. And yes, they listened.

In Japan, rape is a big joke. Men are just terrible to women over there. Rape is no joke. It is a serious offense that should be severely punished. The rapists of course.

I think that rape should get a stiffer puninishment.

And what makes me angrier than hell, is when the woman is always blamed for it. What was she wearing? Did she lead the guy on? Was the girl still a virgin? What was she thinking?

Rape is not a sex thing. Rape is a crime. And Myself and other women get distorted and angry thoughts about sex for the rest of their lives. It shatters women’s minds. Like they are just a worthless harlot and nothing else.

And if you ask me if I would shoot my rapist with a gun, I would gladly do it with pleasure.

I was in a wilderness camp, a boarding school, and then in a lock down facility. This was my experience.

I was sent to Second Nature Wilderness in Duschane Utah. My experience here therapy wise was very nice, if you were ever feeling down or irritated about something you were encouraged to share how your feeling with the group and then what you said would be repeated back to you by another member of the camp to let you know that you’ve been heard. The camp teaches you a work ethic and a team work ethic. Everybody would be given specific jobs that would be there’s for the day, and they would be expected to have them done by the time everyone went to bed. If the boy/girl did not have there chores done, there would be a consequence the next day such as being kicked out of the group for the day, or not being able to eat warm food like everyone else. If you did not wear your fire gloves when using the fire, you would be put on fire restriction for an amount of time until you could prove yourself by being courteous around the fire or writing a paper on fire restrictions and rules. If you did not drink the four liters of water ( five on days you hiked) you were supposed to a day there would be a warning. If this kind of behavior persisted you would be put on suicide watch, same thing would happen if you did not eat half a cup of food a meal. If you left a knife out, you would be put on sharp restriction because that could be dangerous for the people on suicide watch. If you were on run watch, while you were using the bathroom there would be two staff members with there back turned 7 feet away from you, and you would need to count the whole time you were using the bathroom or else they would turn around and see if you had ran. If you try to run they will physically restrain you, when this happened to me they grabbed my wrists, bent them downward, and took me to the ground. This type of restraint is much better then what you will hear of as I go into a boarding school, or lock down facilities details of restraint. During my time inside of wilderness I feel as if I learned MUCH more than I learned in my time in boarding school, and lock down. There is much more therapy, more ethics to be learned, and jobs to done around the camp to make you feel self accomplished or raise your self esteem. I only got kicked out of wilderness because I didn’t realize how good I had it, and I assaulted a staff member. If your child is saying if you send him away to wilderness he will do everything he can to get kicked out, show him what I am truthfully about to tell you about my experience at a boarding school and lock down. If your child does do what they are talking about doing at wilderness, I assure you lock down is the 1st place they will go.

After assaulting the staff, within two hours a car came to transport me to a boarding school. As I got to Logan River Academy on the outside it looked like a mansion, and I was feeling pleased with myself for putting myself in this wondrous situation. But, when I got into the door a big man told me I was to be put on assault and run watch for 3 days, therefore I was put in lock down. It really wasn’t that bad, unless you have ADD or your just restless like most teenagers. You are expected to sit quietly in a chair 15 hours a day, with nothing to do except for read psychological books. If you so much as stand up without getting permission to, you get PI’d ( physical Intervention) and I promise you will not like it. For one of my PI’s four big men grabbed me and threw me into a hard wood floor room, probably about five feet by 8 feet, where they all dog piled on me. Then one put there knee on the back of my head, and another on my shoulder. Another guy put two of his knee’s on the back of my knee’s. Another guy grabbed both of my ankles, while the fourth laid across my back. This was an easy PI. There was another incident where I wouldn’t leave my desk. Two guys picked up me and my desk, through us on the ground so the desk hit me, I let go, and they were grabbing and banging my head on the ground, one guy putting his knee on my neck so I couldn’t breathe, and the others kneeing and elbowing other parts of my body. My neck still hurts me when I swallow, and it has been over a month. Once I had learned to sit down and shut up for three days, I went into the school/ dorm area. When I was there I heard nasty stories of guys having sex with each other and sucking each others penis’s, which I soon learned to be true. This ” boarding school” was more of a disgusting juvenile Penitentiary. Guys tried to come onto me, asking to give me sexual favors. Guys boyfriends would try to come onto me, and then the guys would threaten to stab me. All of this happened within the 1st day of me being in the boarding school enviorment. I assure all parents and children planning to rebel against the wilderness program, you would be MUCH smarter to just go through the 6-14 week wilderness program, instead of risking a one year stay at one of those hell holes. I hope this is a good informational for parents and children. If you have any questions that weren’t answered here, I would be more than happy to answer your questions if you email me at Johnnyfrankston@gmail.com

Is an All-Girls Boarding School Going to Be Helpful for Your Child -

Is an all-girls boarding school going to be useful for your child?

Girls can be very unusual from boys in many fact, and learning is definitely one of them. Cause will often notice that girls seem a little more worry or are authorize more to the seting when they are learning with boys. However, learning in a co-ed school also does have its own aid, like learning to socialize with boys. Some girls simply do better in an all-girls’ school because of few reasons; some are socially clumsy and easily worry by boys, some don’t play well with the wildness that come with learning with boys, some just do better when they are around girls.

According to learn that are based on the statistics amass by the citizen center for learningal statistics, there are more data hinting that girls aid more from being sent to these teach for girls. The data isn’t as convincing with boys, showing that they are somehow better off in a co-learningal seting. With girls, the sum definitely say quiting. They show that girls who come from girls boarding school have better academic act than girls who come from co-ed teach.

In a boarding school for girls, students are not commonly topic to sex stereotypes that often prevailin co-learningal teach. Students also aid from seeing strong female role models in the school method, bring the notice across that when women are in fill, it is possible to make fact run gently too. It’s not a matter of one-upping the other sex, it’s about sharping that girls can do it too. Because there are no boys who are boldly contesting for guidance roles, girls can finally step up and take guidance roles themselves. In these teach, they are given a lot of guidance chance where they can shine.

Another thing to regard is that girls have a unusual learning style from boys. While boys learn better with a lot of seen help, girls learn better by verbal letter. They get more out of a class where the educating style is more verbal rather than seen. Learning in an all-girls school will enable them to learn inward a educating style that is plot out indeed for girls. It gives students more chance to excel academically

Unlike stereotypes that think of girls’ boarding teach as just ending teach where girls are taught to be polite, prim and just, the actuality isn’t as limiting. The truth is that most all-girls boarding teach also have a strong sports plan, much like what could be hope in co-ed intimate boarding teach. Girls have varied share too, and honorable girl teach make it a point to have school plans that will enrich unusual share. There are plans for doing and seen arts, equestrian coaching, and more. This helps create a better-rounded curriculum for students.

Boarding teach for girls also commonly have a low student to educator ratio, meaning that educators will be able to focus more on students this way. Pledging that even the still and most socially clumsy girl will have a hard time mixing to the seting.

The only possible fall to girls teach is that they commonly have a strict visit position. It’s best if you found out first what kind of visit position a school has before enrolling your daughter in it. If you’re not okay with that, there are other choice teach that you may want to try.

A boarding school that was build on top of grave yard.

I went to this rural school at the age of 12 years , my school was build on top of grave yard , people say that our head master was desperate for money instead of looking for people to properly dig the graves out, He just ask some contractors to remove the top of the graves and start building .They build a day school and on the another side they build a boarding school . Boys and girls sleep from different rooms and lights were turn off at around 9o’clock . That’s when things began to happen .I remember hearing the door opening slowly ,then I quickly cover my face with my blanket, my heart start beating very fast like horses running the race, then a cold breeze pass through my bed , go to another room , Before I knew it I fall into deep sleep and Before we knew it, it was in the morning because our head mistress was ringing the bell shouting” wake up wake up every one” . we all wake up go to bath, Since we were not allowed to talk about what was happening but I had to be brave and ask my friend if she heard any thing strange last night and she said yes by whispering and looking around to see if no one has heard us and she said the ghost open her blanket slowly and spit on her face, but she told me that she over heard another girls saying that they have seen a light of fire in the school garden , moving from one place to another then little small fire appears behind a big light following the big one. And when they go to see if the grass has been burn in the morning there was none. The ghost visited us every night throughout my stay in the boarding school, we got used to them and I believe they knew us because we both knew that we don’t pose danger to each another. But it was total different with the Boys they did not wish for the night to come they hated it , scared because their ghost was not friendly with them it will shook their beds and through out the night , they could hear people talking and loughing at each another oh boy ! oh boy! .

Boarding schools have traditionally been an educational option reserved for the wealthy. However, a new trend shows a rise in tuition-free residential schools for low-income students.

These institutions are designed to provide living accommodations and quality education to children from our nation’s most economically challenged communities. The hope is that these students will learn better if they are provided with a positive environment 24 hours a day.

Public boarding schools are intended for students who may not have a safe home to return to at the close of the school day. Studies have continually shown that students living in troubled environments perform significantly worse than their peers. By placing children in a boarding facility, it is hoped they will learn better. At the boarding facility, students have a safe place to do homework, study, and interact with peers. Students are also provided with nutritious food and health services they might not otherwise receive.

The model for American public boarding schools was established in Washington D.C. by the School for Educational Evolution and Development (SEED). The first SEED school opened in 1998 and currently enrolls more than 200 students selected through a lottery process. The students attend the SEED school for five years and graduate with a traditional high school diploma. SEED’s program, which includes extracurricular activities and nightly homework assistance, has shown measurable success. Virtually all of SEED’s students outperform neighboring peers on standardized tests, and graduates generally pursue a college degree.

With the success of the SEED school, other groups are hoping to implement similar boarding school programs. In Chicago, the city’s first such facility is scheduled to open in 2009. The school is designed to accommodate homeless children from Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. Similarly, the city of Milwaukee is in the process of raising funds for a boarding school catering to at-risk children. Although the state of Wisconsin will provide approximately $2 million for this project, another $30 million in private funds will need to be raised. Administrators hope to secure funding and complete the facility by 2011. Meanwhile, SEED is trying to repeat its Washington D.C. success in nearby Maryland. The SEED School of Maryland will open this fall and enroll 80 sixth-grade students.

Public boarding schools are not designed to remove children from their families. Enrollment is entirely voluntary and children usually return home on the weekends. Additionally, the schools encourage family involvement and invite relatives to participate in school functions. Ultimately, it seems students from troubled homes do perform better in the boarding school setting. However, the costs of maintaining a facility of this nature are high, and could limit the success of future programs. New legislation is currently being worked on in several states to overcome this hurdle and provide more children with the opportunity to live and learn in a safe, healthy environment.
