My review of this great YA read.

Synopsis: Corinne lives an average teenage life working at her dad’s cafe, hanging out with her best friend, and trying to forget a falling-out with her almost-boyfriend Mason. Things take a strange turn when she uses her late grandmother’s food dyes for a bake sale, and her customers suddenly find her irresistibly alluring. Then she discovers she and Mason are haunted by the same dreams of a dark force that consumes everything in its path.

Pursued by shadowy figures and a crazy woman with secrets from the past, Corinne must find out who her grandmother really was. In her quest to unravel her family’s history, she learns she is destined to protect this world–and the dark world of her dreams. She races to find the answers she seeks before her nightmares break free.

I loved this book. I devoured it, it was a plain speaking engaging read, and I felt like I was chatting to an old friend when I was reading it. I instantly loved the characters and storyline, and I can’t wait for the next instalment. The cover alone is worth a closer luck. A brilliant read, have no qualms about recommending this book to anyone!

Bonsai cats also known as cats in a bottle.

Cats in a bottle are a myth. Bonsai kitten are not real. There are NO kits out there that you can make cats into the shape of a bottle. There was once a website showing videos of cats in a bottle that has been investigated and determined that no cats were harmed in the making of the videos on that site. The site was nothing but a joke. As the story goes, the cats were squeezed into bottles. Their urine and feces are removed through probes and they feed them through a tube. They feed them chemicals to keep their bones soft and flexible so they will grow into the shape of the bottle. The kittens will stay there as long as they live. The cats are unable to walk, move, or wash themselves. It was said that these cats were becoming growing popular in New York and parts of Asia. The site was investigated and the story was determined false. No one has ever harmed a kitten in this way and it is impossible to grow a kitten into the shape of a bottle. The Bonsai Kitten site was a satire although many animal lovers did not find anything about this funny. The process described is impossible and although there are many pictures out on the Internet of cats in bottles, no cats can be molded. Cats are just simply able to find into small places. So remember there is no such thing as cats molded into the shape of a bottle and no cats have ever been harmed in this way.

In this modern world we think about convenience, health, and the eco-system yet at the same time many of the things we purchase are inconvenient, unhealthy and harmful. What a dilemma we face, yet some eco-friendly options that used to be a part of our lives are no longer with us. Should they be brought back into our economy?

There’s no doubt that glass containers are still popular, when Coca Cola did a special a couple of years ago placing glass bottles back into stores they were being snatched up, by all purchasers. Even youth that have never experienced other than plastic tried the ‘new’ bottles with enthusiasm (having never before experienced such beverage served in glass bottles). We reside as much a part of a ‘handiness planet’, to a major extent that it is becoming un-convenient, dangerous, and potentially unwise.

Image via Wikipedia

We are all concerned about the natural world where we inhabit, yet we have a tendency to still market too much products that are available only within plastic wrapping. Much of the advanced plastics might perhaps be recyclable, however the fact remains that packaging goods into plastic may not always the best thing to do. Plastic bottles are normally lightweight and opportune, in spite of that they change tastes of any beverage contained within it. Also there are more than a few concerns that particular synthetics do include ingredients that could be unsafe to human bodies when in use in sufficient quantities.

One bottle’s worth would possibly not harm you, nevertheless people are usually greedy creatures and tend to continue adding such destructive chemical compounds into our bloodstream on a regular basis which can result in a damaging impact to our future lifespan. We are not talking here about any drinks contained by bottles, purely the substance all the containers are made with. This writer would also like to see bottled water sold in glass.

When drinks were packaged in glass bottles the whole of the supply chain used to think in requisites of recycling, the local shops included a supplemental a deposit cost, the empty bottles used to be returned to store afterward subsequently the processing unit via it’s supply chain. This procedure worked for a long period after the moment when large-scale production began. Somewhere in recent times the empty container returns aspect was removed from the distribution network, more than likely at the insistence of the substantial super-store, which wielded much money-making muscle as a consequence did not seek the trouble connected with collecting, storing and returning empties from their customers. After all many superstores did not treat customers as anything but people with money that entered their store. Consequently customers were forced to recycle their containers by alternative means. These large convenience stores therefore obliged their suppliers to employ alternative, non-ecological wrapping matter, which may well just be trashed at the end of its useful life. this was able to simplify things for the superstore, but it pushes any prominence for recycling onto our consumer instead of using accessible logistics capabilities.

Not every element contemporary thinking is good.

Needless to say there are places where glass bottles will never be offered, like airports or at football events. This may be a case for individual security becoming a priority and is a conscious application for synthetics, the same as can be the use of plastic containers in the course of a extended trip. However an equilibrium has to be met that encourages the use of recyclable natural materials such as glass in preference to its modern alternatives.

Tread slowly for you can drown in my words , that float in water , that sits unused in an overflowing bathtub full of stale fruit loops aka my mind

Fake surrounds me. Every –FUCKIN’ –where. Squeezes me, wrings me dry till the air in my lungs is pushed out into the Coors Light/ Chanel perfumed/piece of ass walking on fresh cut grass/grasssss tainted air. Locks me in a room with lights and sounds and guys and girls and bottles and fucks and 10 bucks for a cup 20 dollars at the door and 200 for a table 500 for a whore. I need it all, or so they’re told. Luckily for me, I’ve recently discovered that I’m real as I’ll ever be. Don’t quite know the significance of this groundbreaking discovery yet, so as you read this, please do temporarily keep your panties dry cuz I don’t want to put your haste to waste. I’m face to face to face day after day with clones and drones of Louis V and models and asses and douches, douchebags, douches with man bags, cunts with Dior, always wanting more, more or less. Drink to undress, fuck and chuck then crash and press repeat . Never gets old in the cornucopia of Utopia. Well shit, its older than Betty White tonight and my eyes are black and blue from you. Who are you , you ask? You are everything and nothing, more nothing than anything and everywhere I am but don’t want to be. So I’m trapped for now .Whopp-deeee-dooooo me now and later and feed me to the gator((s) is one enough?) The only rational thought I hear comes from The National ringing in my ears and the queers shed their tears, the girls pump their fists and poms’, the boys lick their lips and disarm bombs, spill beers and bottles down their throats like a moat to protect themselves from themselves and Chinks smoke their cigs’ like its 1990 fuckin’ 9. The spoken word has turned into a turd, dropped out of our mouths (neurological assholes)

“And psychologically speaking
We’re in a state of mental diarrhea
Talking shit a mile a minute “

Jersey? Sure! We’ve destroyed ourselves , overdosed ourselves on shit on shelves, bought 5 flat screens for $5095 to televise LIFE, and down here in the 305 some go to LIV to feel ALL(LIVE) .all together now. 585-305= two ate thee and you don’t want the leftovers, trust me. Gentle Man , Give yourself a round of beers, Ladies pause before your round of applause , first you must remove your bras.
Since alcohol causes affairs, stop drinking alcohol.

A wife has drinks with friends once a week. This adventure lasts past midnight. One day, the wife leaves divorce papers for her husband. The husband’s attorney soon discovers the wife is having an affair. The husband is shocked. Well, what does he expect? Alcohol dims reasoning ability and increases desire.

Spouses that claim they have never cheated; yet drink alcohol may be mistaken. Suppose he goes bowling, has a few drinks, chats with a friend and they end up doing it in the parking lot? After driving home, he blacks out and remembers nothing from the previous night. Was there an affair? Yes. However, when asked about an affair, he swears nothing happened. Alcohol destroys brain cells, especially memory cells. How can he possibly remember what happened last night?

If both spouses rarely drink alcohol, the chances of an affair are even higher. The toleration level for an occasional drinker is low. Intoxication occurs fast with folks who rarely drink. Wine with dinner at a friend’s home can easily escalate into a forgotten affair.

Continuing to drink alcohol is fine but give up the tired view of maintaining an exclusive relationship. Get real and embrace multiple partners. Relationships and marriages will last longer.

If couples expect monogamy, both spouses must quit drinking alcohol immediately. Leave hints at home such as a brochure from Alcoholics Anonymous and articles about the hazards of alcohol abuse. Grab every ounce of alcohol in the home, and take the bottles to a recycling bin. Leave, “Quit Drinking” signs everywhere the bottles are removed. If all else fails, seek counseling.

Prevent dishonesty. End alcohol consumption today.

Helping the nature and earn because of selling pפlastic bottles.

There are thousands of products released on the market. The most popular and salable product is mineral water using Plastic Bottles. Many doctors recommend drinking water 8 to 9 glasses a day, which many people followed and find it very helpful to their health.

We can buy Mineral anywhere and anytime, which is very good for all of us. The bad thing I observed is throwing the Plastic Bottles on the park, streets and more. Everything has advantage and disadvantage like water on a Plastic Bottles. Water helps to maintain the needs of our body while Plastic Bottles increases the cause of Global Warming.

I believe that every problem have solution. If you will learn to Research and apply it, there is no possibility to gain both in positive way. Now, Plastic Bottles is no longer problem to many countries like Philippines. They can both drink Mineral water and sell the Plastic Bottles after.

In year 2007, the Representative of Massachusetts, Edward Markey, introduced Bottle Recycling Climate Protection Act of 2007 to U.S. House of Representative. If the bill will be approve all the people living in the United States have the benefits from every bottle they have. The estimated money to earn is $0.05 for every container of Plastic Bottle.

I hope that many people will realize that we should take care of the things that surround us while caring for our health. If we will not thinking about what the future, the problem will get worst. Do not wait for the time that we will end up killing ourselves because of our own fault.

Selling Plastic Bottles can make us more responsible and earn extra cash especially for our situations now. Learn to act as early as you can than feel sorry for the future situation that will come in our way. On that time, I am sure that we do not know what to do. So, please cooperate while earning for you and your family.

Can we afford to be thirsty?

In 2002, the United States drank over 189 BILLION bottles, cans, or boxes of juice and sadly less than half of these bottles were not recycled. That means more than 94.5 billion bottles of garbage was either burned, littered on the streets or ended up in the wastelands. Being littered is bad enough but when we see that more than 94.5 billion are scattered on our soil, we may not feel much but when we see what these garbage can do…we may feel guilty.

Many countries are using these bottles to create energy and other productive uses. Hopefully, after you read this you will think not to litter but rather recycle for the sake of our planet.

Here are some facts about the topic of bottles.

People in the U.S. consume more packaged drinks per capita than in any other country-about 350 aluminum cans per person per year, compared to 103 in Sweden, 88 in the United Kingdom, and 14 in France.

In 2001, 285 million Americans failed to recycle some 51 billion cans-enough to encircle the Earth 153 times if laid end-to-end. (That same year, 451 million residents of 18 European nations wasted only 8.9 billion cans.)

Making 1 million tons of aluminum cans from virgin materials requires 5 million tons of bauxite ore and the energy equivalent of 32 million barrels of crude oil. Recycling the cans, in comparison, saves all of the bauxite and more than 75 percent of the energy, and avoids about 75 percent of the pollutants.

Recycling just one aluminum can saves enough electricity to run a laptop computer for 4 hours.

Making 1 million tons of plastic bottles from virgin materials (petroleum and other fossil fuels) generates an estimated 732,000 tons of climate-altering greenhouse gases.

Plastic bottles made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) can be recycled into many products, including beverage bottles, plastic strapping, fleece jackets, sleeping bags, and carpets. Yet in 2002, less than a fifth of all plastic beverage bottles in the U.S. were recycled.

Recycling glass yields a 10 percent energy savings and preserves the life of the glass furnace. Yet currently, less than a third of glass bottles sold in the United States are recycled.

Please, next time you got an empty Coke can or an empty water bottle, find a garbage can and throw it in there NOT on the road. It may look queer but in the long run, if we continued our bad habits mankind will think again saying recycling is “queer.”

We can all make a difference.

I often like to write about things that will help motivate me to live a better life; a life I can feel more proud of everyday. I believe that is a universal goal that all people share.

On this note, I used to recycle more often. In fact, I used to drag bags of recyclable materials to a local recycling center about once a week. This stopped for me almost completely for awhile. Yes, I wholeheartedly admit to this. Currently, I am also a Spokes model and Public Relations Representative for an environmentally safe vehicle company and feel as though I am confessing my sins right now. It feels better and I will work harder at recycling. When I say something “out loud” it makes harder for me to avoid it.

I have used many excuses over the years. If only the powers that be made recycling more convenient, i.e. picked up the materials from where I was at, if only I didn’t feel so tired after whatever activity I was finishing, if only, if only. Truth is recycling will take me no more than a half an hour to accomplish. It is something I must look at as a responsibility and a duty to myself and to my community.

Many people think one person cannot make that much of a difference, but every great leader who changed this world, was only one person. And, when I realize how many bags of garbage I throw away that fill the dumpster in my complex, I know that when I begin to recycle on a regular basis again, it will make a huge difference to the space left free in the landfills over the years.

I have noticed that grocery stores have even begun to promote recycling as well. The Ralphs near my home has put recycle bins by the front doors that patrons can deposit their old plastic bags in. I shudder when I think about all the plastic bags I have throw away in the past. But, I don’t want to feel bad for the past. It cannot be changed, but I can make a difference now and going forward.

We can all make a difference by recycling everything from cans, bottles and paper to plastic bags, and other such products. It’s up to all of us to preserve this gift; our world.

Best wishes to all.

Many people don't realize the potential in a used plastic bottle and simply recycle bottles right away. There are more environmentally friendly and fun things to do before finally recycling bottles!

The best thing to do is to err on the side of caution and simply not reuse plastic bottles and bags for items of human consumption, such as water and food. Many people use water or other drink bottles over and over again, despite the risk of the plastic allowing toxic chemicals into the contents. However, there are a great many ways people can reuse plastic bottles creatively in order to help the environment and save on costs at home. In fact, these other forms of reuse not only give a second life to otherwise purposeless plastic bottles, they also can lead to more effective recycling of these bottles in the future!

Plastic bottles can be reused for other kinds of storage or use around the house. They are versatile and can be used for a number of purposes, from sorting and storing nail and screw collection to becoming temporary slug-traps in the garden with a little beer in the bottom! The bottoms of large plastic water or juice bottles make great snack bowls when the top halves are cut off, so long as the snacks or candies are individually wrapped (so they won’t come directly in contact with the plastic). The sky is the limit: these clever reuses are only a place to start.

These and other creative reuses can add a personal and decorative flair for any green-oriented individual, allowing someone to show off both their creativity and environmentally-friendly attitudes while making something useless into something useful. Best of all, none of these uses preclude future recycling: if and when a secondary reuse of a plastic bottle is no longer needed, the bottles or bottle-parts can still be recycled along with other plastics by traditional means. Moreover, since recycling techniques are constantly improving, keeping plastic bottles around for longer also indirectly leads to better eventual recycling.

So, while it is safer to avoid reusing plastic bottles for food and water, they can still be reused for other things around or outside of a home. Ideally, of course, no one should use too many plastic bottles in the first place. Instead, it is best to also consider options for truly reusable items like non-disposable plastic sports water bottles as well as washable and reusable Tupperware-type containers for food. Still, these have their own environmental impact as well – from washing and cleaning, so switching to them entirely is not the answer either!
