Searching for a watch since forever and you still can`t decide which one to choose? As there are so many varieties the choice is always hard - in this article you will find some answers.

Luxury watches are not only a part of every true fashioner’s wardrobe; they’re also popular with successful businessmen who want to show that they, too, have a sophisticated sense of style.

Today’s luxury watches come in a wide variety of materials and designs, from stainless steel, sterling silver and gold watches adorned with chain link bands, to silver and gold watches with bands made of luxury leathers such as lizard and snake skin. In addition, today’s watch faces may be made of delicate, diamond-studded porcelains as well as brushed silver and gold, which is really easy to maintain, according to the cleaners in Melbourne.

For those who like a look of classic elegance, companies such as Rolex, Cartier, Patek Phillipe and Tag Heuer have continued to make the same traditional designs of luxury watches for generations. Newer companies, however, such as Jacob & Co. and Joe Rodeo, have made their own mark with modern-styled luxury watches inlaid with colorful gemstone panels and encrusted with diamonds.

While buyers have more to choose from than ever before, it’s important to have a good general understanding of how to match a watch shape to a particular wrist and hand length and size. This is especially important because luxury watches are investment timepieces meant to last for generations.

Generally speaking, a longer wrist and hand can wear any of the elongated and rectangular styles, including the classic rectangular Cartier Tank style and the Golden Ellipse style made by Patek Phillipe. Patek Phillipe also makes several oval styles, including the Nautilus; these oval designs look particularly attractive on a long wrist and slender hand.

If you have a heavy, large wrist and a large hand, you’re easily able to wear the bulkier chronograph and bezel styles produced by companies such as Rolex and Tag Heuer. The classic Rolex Presidential and Oyster models won’t engulf your wrist if it’s large enough to carry off the overall look.

Women with small wrists and hands may have problems wearing a heavy chain link band because it’s liable to slip off the wrist completely. In addition, the chain might also feel too heavy and clumsy for comfort. A great number of luxury watches are produced in leather strap models, so those with smaller wrists would do well to consider purchasing one of these designs instead.

Whichever style you choose, it’s important to remember that luxury watches are indeed long-term investments, so choose your watch according to your own preferences rather than according to any particular fad or fashion of the moment. Also, pay attention to the cleaning processes so you wont have to turn to cleaning services Melbourne every time your watch gets dirty.

Levi Strauss came to San Fransisco in 1853 during the California Gold Rush, intending to start a dry goods business.Shortly after his arrival,a miner wanted to know what Mr.Strauss was selling. When Strauss told him he had rough canvas to use for tents and wagon covers, the prospector said,”You should have brought pants”!saying he couldn’t find a pair of pants strong enough to last.

So,Levi Strauss had the canvas made into what he called’waist overalls’.To make them fit properly, the wearer had to sit in a watering trough so that the pants shrank to a perfect fit.Miners liked the pants, but complained that they tended to chafe.Levi Strauss substituted a twilled cotton cloth from France called ’serge de Nimes’.The fabric later became known as denim, and the pants were nicknamed blue jeans.

By 1950,Levi’s jeans began selling nationally.Everybody now had a chance to wear a pair of original Levi’s jeans,as they were now called.Later, many other brands emerged, but Levi’s have remained the all time favourite, bringing frame and glory to Levi Strauss.

What is the big appeal of brand-obsessed retail parks?

I found myself in Devizes, a small market town in rural Wiltshire. I took the wife and kids into town for a wander around the shops in the morning and was struck by the bustle of the place. The British high street has been destroyed in recent years by the steady growth of out of town shopping centres. I’m lucky enough to live in a market town where it’s still possible to walk down the street and find a green grocer, delicaterssan, general store, and pharmacy. But I live in Shropshire in the Midlands and we’re lucky enough not to have a major city or town within spitting distance. Small local retailers have a chance to survive and thrive. I was not expecting to find such a busy market town in Wiltshire, within a stone’s throw of Chippenham, Swindon, Bath, and Bristol. But there it was, packed and busy.

I struggle to see the appeal of out-of-town retail parks. For a start, they all carry the same faceless brands. Stores that you wouldn’t ordinarily shop in, stores that place more importance on the label and the price tag than the quality of the product. For example, I purchased a pair of trainers one time – I won’t name the brand here, but let’s say they were not my usual brand and cost way more than I’m ordinarily comfortable spending. They fell to bits within three weeks.

Another thing I hate about retail parks is the herd factor. Everybody is herded around like cattle. You daren’t stop to look at anything in case you’re trampled by the thousands pushing along behind. And they are always inside. Why are they inside? If I have to go to the shops I want to feel the air on my face in between stores. Even if it’s raining outside, I want to feel the real world on my skin. Especially at Christmas. Where’s the fun of shopping at Christmas if you can’t wrap up warm and walk in the snow?

Market towns have character, history, a sense of community. They’ve got quirky little alleyways, filled with nook-and-cranny shops; street performers; cafes and bars; the usual retail suspects. In short, they have everything and more. Where is the character in an out-of-town shopping center that has been hastily thrown together in some quarry in the middle of nowehere?

The sad thing is that the retail parks are winning. People prefer the convenience of free parking and escalators to cobblestones and the chance of a shower. Ted Baker sells better than Fred’s Threads. Consumers get some sense of certainty and security from paying a fortune for the same shirt that everybody is wearing and drinking the same coffee as everybody else. Sad. But true.

Are designers worth it?

Many of young people nowadays think that ‘Designer is everything’ in this article I will be discussing if it is really worth all the money.

G-Star-Raw; You see a lot of normal people wearing g-star clothing. In my eyes, I don’t see the point; the money you pay is purely for the label. What is the big deal with it anyway? You could get 2 pairs of nice jeans from River Island, for the price you pay to get just one pair of ‘legendary’ G-Star jeans.

A few years back I can remember watching a programme on television, showing the same kind of views I am. They did an experiment with two pairs of jeans, a Calvin Klein pair worth over £100, and a standard pair worth £5. They put these jeans through all sorts of processes to wreck them. At the end of the destroying process, they put the jeans in a shop window, and asked members of the public which pair of jeans they thought cost the most. Almost everybody asked said that the £5 pair of jeans cost the most because they had kept in better condition. Thanks to this experiment, it just goes to show that paying lots of money for things doesn’t necessarily mean that they are good quality. You pay so much on the label, you don’t even think about how long they are going to last.

So, is designer really all it stands up to be?
