Parents should include pre-teen and teenagers in the family budget planning especially when things are not as flush as they had been. Have a plan and ideas and brainstorm. Have the needs and monthly expenses laid out of what must be and what has to go and what can stay. Call and demand apperance for all family members. Set a time that works for everyone. Tell your teen tonight tell your friends your busy, shut off the cell phones and other distractions because your having a family planning session and they need to be there. Don’t let your teen say later be firm and require their presence. Then be prepared to present the situation and also be ready for ideas they might provide and have suggestions of your own.
