A man in Philadelphia who happens to use a bus regularly, got so tired of his fellow riders talking on a cellphone, that he used a "Cellphone Jammer" to cut-off their communication.

What do you guys think about that man who has come to known as, “Cellphone Jammer”? If you have not heard about him yet, I will tell you what he did and why is he called a Cellphone Jammer. What happened was that a man in Philadelphia who happens to use a bus regularly, got so tired of his fellow riders talking on a cellphone, that he used a “Cellphone Jammer” to cut-off their communication. Everyone wants to sit peacefully after a long day of excessive work, we can’t blame him.

Even though what he did was Illegal, many people have started to call him their Hero. What do you guys think? What he did was okay? To many it was bad in such a way that, what would have happened if there had been a security threat? What would have happened if one of the rider had an emergency at home? Keep in mind cellphone jammer also disrupts emergency services, making the use of it illegal under federal law. Answering these questions does surely make one think, what he did was bad. He did not have a “RIGHT” to cut off every-ones communication, no one has. But it was good too, what he did was fighting against “Noise Pollution”. Whispers can turn into a noise as well, if many whisper at the same time. Noise pollution can damage human’s physiological and psychological health. If you think that noise pollution cannot do anything, then I should remind you that it can cause, annoyance, high stress level, aggression, hypertension, sleep disturbances, hearing loss and many other harmful effects.

Looking at it this way, he is surely a hero. What he did should really send a message to the lawmakers, to amend the law on the usage of cellphone, when in public. The usage of cellphone should be limited in public and it should be only used when necessary. Cellphones should not be used to brag about your day, especially when you are not within your own premises. Caring for others teaches us to become a better human. All we know about the identity of that man is his name, “Eric”.

Children going to school face many problems. Problems faced by children usually refer to the problem in studying, choosing subjects or any dispute with friends.

Children going to school face many problems. Problems faced by children usually refer to the problem in studying, choosing subjects or any dispute with friends. However these are not the only problems. School going children usually face problems like facing bullies in school. This is the most annoying problem faced by the school going children. However this problem is not at all new. Many students around the globe are facing bullies in school

How it effect the child?

Children facing bullies in school are badly affected by this problem. The bully can ruin the complete confidence and personality of the child. The child can be afraid of school and will make reasons to avoid the school. He can be afraid of riding a bus, going to the toilet and from staying alone even at night. The child is sometime to afraid that he even do not share what he is suffering from. The student is unable to pay attention during lectures and cannot focus on his studies due to the fear and the depression he is facing or going through. The child facing bullies in school can get less tempo, physical or mental illness and can make him to even go for suicide.

Role of staff:

The staff of the school should be well aware of what is happening in the school. They should keep cab eye on any suspicious behavior in the school. The teacher’s schools teach the students with the manners and ethics. However the teacher should not arrange any meeting between the one found guilty of bully and the victim, this can be very embarrassing from them. They should check the situation of the bully take steps according to it. Telling the student facing bullies in the school about your childhood stogies related on bullies can enhance their confidence level and helps them in overcoming this fever or problem. The teachers should protect the rights of the student so that no one can mentally or physically harm or torture them. The teacher should provide the victim child with complete satisfaction so that he can share the whole story to the teacher which helps them in solving his problem

Role of parents:

Parents play an important role for helping children to overcome the bullies facing in the school. Most of the parents take no action on these bullies however this concept is wrong. Parents should take some solid action against the bullies. Tell their child not to get under pressure and have confidence in themselves. Educate them that these bullies are not forever. Now or then they will come to an end. They should visit the school and talk to the teachers about this problem. They should never let their child feel alone by providing him with maximum satisfaction. . They think that it is the part of their childhood and they will forget it by the time and confidence. The parents should visit the staff of the school and inform them with the whole situation.

They are a good invention, provided they don't become people's toy.

What is this? A toy or a practical invention?

The last time I travelled by coach on a long journey -625 kms and eight hours, the driver seemed to have a lot of friends that he hadn’t seen in a good while. His several conversations during the journey were of the type of “Oh, hi! Long time since we saw each other last!. How are you getting on? I’m at work. Yeah sure! We must, sure we must!…! Obviously, for all what we heard, all his calls were trivial, or, at least, he could wait to call up on destination. I wonder if he had realised that he was working on a public service, the bus was full and the roads were not in very good state.

Hands on wheel, dar!

I also had a friend that not only he was a horrible driver, but he was also very fond of using his mobile phone when driving. Whenever I went with him, I told him to stop as soon as I glimpsed a tube station. He was surprised that I wanted to get off his car, but as I told him I felt a lot safer travelling on an underground train.

In many so called civilized countries, using a mobile phone is forbidden when one is driving. Yet, many drivers don’t seem to care about rules and regulations even if it could cost them their own lives.

“Hands on wheal, dar!” I say to anyone trying to reach for the toy.

EXCUSE ME, I’VE A CALL!

Before, when one went into a bar with a friend to have a talk over a drink, the conversation would be halted whenever the person wanted to go to the toilet. With the arrival of cell phones, it comes to a halt when the well known tune rings. “Sorry…” The person goes out. Then, he or she goes back to resume the conversation. After a while, the hatred tune rings again. “Sorry…” “It´s all-right. It’s all-right…” One may say grinning. In the end, one doesn’t know what one was talking about and feels like leaving the friend with his numerous calls.

ON THE BUS

At different intervals, the tunes ring up. Many commuters think it’s their phone and reach for it immediately.

“On bus!” “We’ll soon be there!” “Yeah right. Could you please take the steaks out of the freezer?” “I’m fine, thanks. and you?” “Won’t be long!” The trivial conversations can be endless. The bus driver brakes all of a sudden. “Hey, mind yourself! “Don’t you already know that you can’t use your cell phone while driving?”

Hopefully, everyone gets off after having travelled with a ring-ring soundtrack and meaningless conversations.

OH, NO!

“Isn’t he smart using a cell phone already?

This is what a mother exclaimed when she saw her school girl’s cell phone bill. The girl had received it as a Christmas present and it seemed she had gonea bit easy calling to her countless friends. Someone recommended the troubled mother to get her a prepaid one. No money and no credit!

I admit cell phones are useful at any given time. I know many people who have a prepaid one and no land line, so they can control their expenses. I, too, was going to get one so as to avoid the dreaded phone bills every two months. Then, I forgot about it, until living in a rural environment I had to get one.

It is a good invention indeed, provided it is used rationally and it doesn’t become like a new toy.

What determines if you live or die in a wreck?

When approximately 20 people died and 135 were injured in a train accident in Chatsworth, California (a northwestern suburb of Los Angeles) in 2008 when a passenger train collided head on with a freight train, some people wanted to know how safe is train travel and what method of transportation has the lowest risk.

While no method of transportation is without risk, national statistics suggest some are safer – or at least have fewer accidents and fatalities – than others.

Traveling by Rail

First, what about traveling by rail – a popular commuter option, particularly in light of rising prices for gasoline, not to mention rail being seen a more environmentally friendly way to travel? According to the Federal Railroad Administration Office of Safety Analysis data for 2007 there were 13,236 accidents or incidents involving trains and 792 deaths resulting from accidents involving trains. The cause of the accidents were most often human error (38.36 percent of the time), followed by equipment defects and miscellaneous causes (about 12 percent each)

A sample of states where accidents occurred shows California with a total number of 128 railroad deaths in 2007; New York had 24; Florida 54; and Ohio 31.

But, according to the National Safety Council, railroad travel is relatively safe. The NSC has compiled injury data every year since 1920 on the odds of dying from or being killed by a specific incident or occurrence such as a lightning strike or a plane crash.

Cars, Buses, Etc.

The NSC studies show that the odds of dying from any cause is 1,756 to one, or 23 to one over the course of one’s lifetime.

Specifically, the occupant of a car has a one in 19,216 chance of dying in any given year; 247 to one over a lifetime. Pedestrians, says the NSC, have a one in 49,139 to one chance of dying in an accident; bicyclists a one in 348,347 chance; and a motorcycle rider one in 73,085 chance.

Riding a bus gives you a one in 7,341,421 chance of death, 94,242 over your lifetime. Riding in a train? That’s a one in 10,876,179 per year chance and one in 139,617 in your lifetime. And air-related accidents account for a one in 432,484 annual chance of dying; 5,552 in a lifetime.

As the tragedy in Los Angeles demonstrated any method of transportation has risks. Taking precautions such as buckling seat belts in a car helps prevent death and injury. In the train collision one survivor explained how since the passenger train does not have passenger seat belts, he rides in the car furthest away from the front of the train to improve the chance that in a crash he will survive.

This article argues for an expansion to the current transportation in the Boise, Idaho Metropolitan area (known locally as the Treasure Valley.)

Any person who’s lived long enough in the Treasure Valley knows one thing for certain-the Valley is growing. There are California license plates in every parking lot and if you take a walk downtown you’re sure to run into international refugees who now call Boise their home. Census data shows that there’s been a 30.4% increase in the population in just the last nine years. Wow, that’s a lot of new people in town! Traffic has increased and commute times seem to be getting longer and longer. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some alternatives to sitting in your car-bumper to bumper-waiting for traffic to pick up? This is the biggest city in Idaho; where are the public transportation options? Have you ever noticed that Boise doesn’t have near as many buses as other cities the same size, like Eugene or Reno? Chances are, you don’t even have a bus stop within walking distance from your front door; the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho says most residents don’t. It seems like there should be more.

Sure, more public transportation would be nice, but what about all the taxes that go with it? Aren’t residents already taxed enough? This is Idaho, after all, and if someone wants to have more public transportation, then why don’t they just move to a state where people are willing to pay the high taxes, like Oregon? Besides, it’s not even the right time to be having this conversation. The state has record high unemployment and it’s hard enough to make ends meet with the taxes we already have. If anything, we should be lowering taxes to help paychecks go a little further. Is this what you’re thinking?

Many residents in the valley would agree with you. Who in this valley doesn’t want to see everyone’s buck stretch a little further? Usually, when politicians raise taxes it’s hard to see where all our hard earned dollars are going. There’s definitely no reason to have a tax if residents aren’t going to be able to see a benefit.

But, what if a tax could actually save us money? The Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho cited a study in their recent report that said people in communities with high quality public transportation actually save about $660 every year. Imagine yourself, sipping your latte and reading the paper on your way to work with a $660 check in your pocket, while someone else does the driving. And, instead of grinding through bumper-to-bumper traffic, your driver is cruising down a clear road because the rest of your neighbors left their cars at home and joined you. This could be your life if you actually had that bus stop you could walk to.

True, it will cost money to get that bus stop to your house and there will be growing pains, but maybe it’s worth it. Times are tough right now, and everyone is always waiting for it to get better, but no one actually knows when that day will come. It might take a lot longer than any of us expect. Boise is a great place to live and that’s not changing anytime soon, which means more people are going to come, whether we like it or not. Since more people means more headaches on the road-and there are already enough-maybe we should start to think about making the situation better instead of waiting for it to happen. Maybe now is actually a good time to make transportation more available to all of us. It’s certainly at least worth considering.

Description of the Boycott and Martin Luther King Jr.

Montgomery Bus Boycott

During the first half of the twentieth century segregation was the way of life in the south. It was an excepted, and even though it was morally wrong, it still went on as if there was nothing wrong at all. African-Americans were treated badly because of the color of their skin color. It was almost impossible to find an area not segregated. The schools were segregated and the restaurants were segregated. There was even segregation present in public transportation. Martin Luther King Jr. could not have said it better when he addressed the massive crowd at the first meeting of Montgomery Improvement Association and said, “. . . we are here, we are here because we are tired now.”1 On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give her seat up to a white man who had nowhere to sit on the bus. Because she would not move to the back of the bus, she was arrested for violating the law. Rosa was thrown in jail and fined fourteen dollars. Enraged by Mrs. Parks arrest the black community of Montgomery united together and organized a boycott of the bus system until the city buses were integrated. The black men and women stayed of the buses until December 20, 1956, almost thirteen months after the boycott their goal was reached. Being president of the Montgomery Improvement Association taught Martin Luther the skills and gave the exposure to become a great leader of a movement as large as the civil rights movement. The thing that Martin Luther King is remembered most for was his public speaking skills. M.L.K was a master speaker and his speeches and the greatness of them will always live on forever.

During the beginning of the boycott very few people saw any possibility for the boycott to have much historical significance. The boycott needed something to really publicize what the black community was doing, something that would make it a point of interest. It needed something that open people’s eyes to what was happening in Montgomery. If something did happen it could have a positive effect on the outcome of the Bus Boycott. On February 21, 1956 Luther was indicted under an old state law prohibiting boycotts. The arrests of these men caused a story of national interest, pointing all eyes of the country on the boycott going on in Montgomery. Since, M.L.K was the president the M.I.A, much of the attention given to the boycott was focused on M.L.K himself. Soon Martin was getting invitations from all over the country inviting him to speak about his beliefs on non-violence and civil rights. Martin Luther King’s oratory skills made more and more popular and started becoming more and more of a leader in the movement. When the Boycott ended victoriously with the Supreme Court ruling the bus segregation was unconstitutional was a very important thing for Martin Luther King. Not only had he led a massive non-violent boycott of all the blacks in Montgomery, he was successful at winning what they had been fighting for. Again Martin Luther King’s name was linked to the bus boycott in national headlines. Only this time the papers were saying much greater things about him. He was not only the leader of a boycott; he was the leader of a successful boycott that caused the integration of buses in Montgomery. This good press made a very public and successful leader in the eye of the American Public. On January 10 and 11, 1957 a group of 11 ministers met at Martin Luther King’s Church in Atlanta, Ga. The topic of this meeting was what was going to happen next since the boycott was over. At the meeting the group decided to form an organization called the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. The SCLC was going to be an organization they worked for the civil rights of African-Americans, by using the same tactics of non-violence that were used in the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Martin Luther King Jr. was elected as the president of this new organization. The SCLC went on to be one of the strongest organizations in the Civil Rights Movement. The leadership Martin Luther King Jr.in SCLC made him one of the most profound leaders of the civil rights movement.

How to make the last day of school special.

The end of the school year has become a bit of a tradition at our house. We began celebrating when my eldest daughter finished kindergarten. While celebrating any event can get out of hand, we don’t put forth that kind of financial effort. Here are a few ideas to make the day special without breaking the bank.

Using sidewalk chalk, draw a line on the driveway with an arrow away from the street. We then write “this way to summer”.

Bubbles are a fun inexpensive way to celebrate.

An easy spur of the moment celebration is to make confetti out of colored paper and shower the kids with it as they get off the bus.

One year, we bought cans of silly string and “hit” the kids coming off the bus and then threw them a can each so they could celebrate too!

We are fortunate to have friends that are home-schooled; so having them over to greet the school bus makes for an instant celebration. One year, they hid in the tree line and jumped out to surprise the kids getting off the school bus.

If the weather is warm enough, you can great them with water guns, make sure to have some for the kids to use after showering them. Water balloons could work as well as long as you aren’t too aggressive with them – we are celebrating not trying to hurt anyone.

This year, I think we are going to create a finish line that they will have to break through to get to summer and shower them with streamers.

Afterwards, a simple snack and time to play in the backyard is all that is needed for a fun celebratory afternoon.

What is the truth about how bin laden was killed and the series of event that followed.

Osama Bin Laden was killed by a small group (about 25) of american Navy Seals on May 1, 2011 (US time and May 2, 2011 – Pakistan time) at his custom built compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The attack was ordered by US President Barack Obama, who had intelligence of Bin Laden’s Where abouts from august of 2010 and had Bin Laden’s compound under surveillance for months.

Many americans and person around the world took the news of Bin Laden’s Death differently, In Washington, within minutes of the President’s speech there was a very large gathering of what appeared to be mostly young college students who were probably 9 or 10 years old on the day of 9/11 were celebrating the death of Bin Laden.

I guess that for many persons Bin Laden’s death brought closure to what happened on 9/11.

So what do you think about the whole Bin Laden killing saga? Are you one of the celebrators or do you believe that no one should rejoice over the death of another?

On Saturday night when we went to the city with our friends then we saw our dear euro singer sleeping at bus stop, talking A.P. Friends started to worry is it aright with Malcolm Lincoln, Celebrity smiled and showed his middle finger.

Clock was half one at night so waiting for bus was pointless activity. As you see from picture was Malcolm Lincoln surrounded by beer cans.

Beware! This is not fake picture, this is real and it is from good Estonian Source!

The Confession Of Homer

                                                                                     By

                                                                            Alan L. Bryant

Travelling on a city bus down in South America is usually an interesting and entertaining experience. Most people take advantage of the cheap fares, thus the isles and seats are jam-packed with passengers. Aggressive entrepreneurs will jump aboard for free, depending on the mood of the driver, and sell anything they have bought at a good price. I have seen them sell pens, pencils, tooth brushes, toilet paper, cell phone holders, ear plugs, etc… In addition, beggars would stand up and desperately plead for money.

The passengers are held captive, unable to ignore the speaker unless they have cranked up the volume on their MP3’s. On one such occasion, when I was heading to the market in Abancay, a man in his late twenties stood up at the front of the bus and began to shout over the noise of the antiquated diesel engine. He had a deep long vertical scar imbedded in his right cheek, and his eyes had a cold gray film over them. His clothing was dirty and he hadn’t washed for days. His looks disgusted most people he came in contact with.

The beggar began by saying that he was a very bad man. As an orphaned child, he lived on the streets, begging and stealing to buy enough to eat. By the time he was a teenager he sold his body to male tourists and developed a taste for cocaine, which was always plentiful for a price. After losing his boyish appeal, he began to steal whenever the opportunity presented itself. Several times, he was caught in the act by the owner, and he was forced to violently subdue his victim, leaving some of them for dead. He didn’t go into the specifics, like cutting up the body and shoving it in a suitcase or beating someone to death using a tennis racket, but it was graphic enough to cause all who listened to shy away in fear. He alluded the police by luck alone. Living like an animal and venturing out primarily at night, he had sunk to the lowest form of existence. It was not uncommon for him to steal from young children who were begging to survive.

Living in this depraved condition all of his life he didn’t know what it was like to be someone else: someone with a good job, a nice place to live and a family who loved him. What we take for granted was foreign to him and never entered his way of thinking. He had heard about God while occasionally bedding down in a mission for the night, however he couldn’t understand how someone could believe in something they couldn’t see, touch or hear. If there was a God, why was there so much misery in his world? As he was telling his story, the people on the bus could no longer gaze upon him. They bowed their heads and some turned away entirely. A majority of his audience was victims of crime, and they carried around the horrible memory of it for the rest of their lives. Would he be able at this point in the confession to persuade the people to show sympathy and give him money?

He was losing them and he knew he had to do something fast. His eyes began to swell with tears, and his voice began to waiver. He then told of his conversion when God unexpectedly touched him. He was lying, sprawled out on the sidewalk near the market. People were stepping over him in their rush to get to work. He didn’t care if he was blocking the way. After the morning rush, an old, heavy set, Indian woman in bright colored traditional clothing, wearing a black derby hat from the 1920’s, came up to him and began shaking a rattle while holding a cross in her other hand. She was speaking in tongues and was possessed herself.

The old woman was attempting to exorcise the demons from his spirit. At first, he wasn’t awake enough to notice, but then she touched him with the cross and he felt a tingling sensation from within. She kept on poking him with the cross, therefore, he got up and punched her hard in the gut to stop her from bothering him. Undeterred, she kept coming forward, and again, he struck her with everything he had. She should be on the ground moaning in pain, yet instead, she was venturing forward again with a cross in one hand and a rattle in the other, speaking nonsense.

He yelled, “She is crazy!” He couldn’t fight the old woman without killing her in public, and he didn’t want to get hurt himself so he decided to flee. He ran as far away as he could, zig-zagging through the streets for several miles; ultimately hiding in a doorway down an empty alleyway. Catching his breath, he could not believe his eyes. There she was coming down the narrow passageway. For a split second he was shaken and did not know what to do. Then, without thinking, he jumped out and ran right at her, plowing her down. As he stepped on her chest he saw a bright light flash before his eyes which blinded him. Not being able to see he ran into the side of the brick wall that lined the alleyway, bouncing off of it and onto the ground. He could hear her chanting and crawling towards him, but what could he do?

Reaching out to find the old woman, he heard a soft voice saying; “Why do you run from me? I am here to help you.” “Help me? Why should you help me?” he said. ”I am sent by God to stop you from hurting anymore people,” she proclaimed. “How does that help me?” he said in a sarcastic tone. She explained: “receiving God and the Holy Spirit are your gifts from God.” “Will these gifts give me back my sight, and will they give me food and money?” he asked. “No… they will not?” she answered. “Then I don’t want your gifts; get away from me you crazy old woman.” ”It is not up to you whether you will receive these gifts or not.” These were the last words she spoke, and then she was gone.

The old woman had accomplished her mission. He was forever blind. He couldn’t walk down a busy street without help. Now, he was left to begging on buses and in the front of churches for his sustenance. The crowd hadn’t looked at him closely before, and they didn’t realize he couldn’t see. The revelation shocked them. He was a bad man, but he had suffered and was made humble by the experience. The story of his life completed, he grabbed a crumpled up old hat from his back pocket and passed it around. The people gave more money than I had ever seen them give before. He was handed back the hat, and he smiled after feeling the coins inside. He thanked the people for their kindness and moved on to the next bus.
