Carol Vorderman has been around UK TV for about 20 years, most famously on a quiz show that gave her the chance to display her fantastic arithmetical ability.

She has an impressive IQ of 154 and was awarded an MBE by the Queen for services to broadcasting.  Her talents have been noticed by Prime Minister David Cameron who is desperate to make his government appear less sexist and old fashioned. To do that he needs to appoint women to visible roles.

So, Carol Vorderman is in the running to become either a Member of Parliament or go into the House of Lords. In the meantime she has been given a special role that suits her expertise, she is investigating the teaching of maths to children.

She has been awarded the title Rear of the Year for her shapely rear. But here’s the real sensation. To win the nomination she beat Hot Ass Pippa Middleton, the Royal Wedding Bridesmaid.

Yes, that Pippa Middleton. The one who became an Internet hit simply by bending over and giving the world an impression of her shapely rear, underneath her skin tight dress.

Carol Vorderman is also a wife and mother and after winning a title like that, she’s obviously in good shape.

So what could go go wrong? Well, in keeping with her move into politics she accepted an invitation to appear on Question Time, a popular political discussion programme that deals with current topics.

She blew it. She came over as shrill, screeching and badly briefed. Instead of addressing the audience she read constantly from notes like a bad tempered teacher addressing naughty school children. When other guests on the show attempted to correct her many factual mistakes she talked over them or insulted them.

The chairman constantly had to ask her not to speak when someone else was talking and struggled with her right through the show. When asked about it later, the supremely diplomatic David Dimbleby said. “The show lasts an hour. It felt longer.” 

Critics from right and left slated her performance, many of them making the Sarah Palin reference.

It all goes to show, sometimes not even a hot ass can save you.

Since it appeared on the royal wedding of her sister, Pippa Middleton entered the tabloid attention, was designated as having the sexiest back in Britain. Unfortunately, however, held little victory.

TV presenter 50 years old won in a contest on the internet, for proper title of the year’s most valuable back in the UK.
