Your backpack or travel bag in dreams represents your past, which you are carrying with you. This means that you are carrying with you your old ideas, your conclusions, your traumatic experiences, you impressions, and everything that belongs to your past.

You may believe that this content is positive. However, it has a negative meaning because your past conclusions were based on your ignorance, and you believe in many false concepts. You surely passed through many traumatic experiences, which created abnormal reactions due to your fears. You also had many false impressions of your reality because you are ignorant and your human conscience is one-sided.

This doesn’t mean that you should forget your past and never analyze it. It means that in order to analyze your past you need the help of a psychoanalyst. Fortunately, the unconscious mind that produces your dreams is the best doctor you could find.

You will get rid of your past traumas through dream translation, and acquire new ideas, which will be based on real knowledge. The unconscious mind will give you new life, based on wisdom.

I will show you in this article two parts of two dreams where the backpack appears. I cannot publish the entire dreams because my translations are private, but I can publish two sentences of two different dreams from two different dreamers without exposing the dreamers in any way in order to give you a practical lesson, since both of them had a dream where the backpack appears.

Here is a part of the first dream, which was dreamt by a mentally ill woman who is 30 – 40 years old:

‘There is a back-pack in front of me whose color is ocher. (I am looking for its zipper.)’

Dream Translation:

This back-pack is the content that belongs to your past. The ocher color indicates support and goodness.

You are looking for its zipper in order to open your past and remember the old content. This means that you are attached to your past, and you believe that your past contains support and goodness.

This is a false impression.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

This dream was showing to the dreamer that she was eluded for believing that her past could give her something good and help her in her life. She had many traumatic experiences in the past and she is constantly controlled by her anti-conscience. I cannot explain the details of this case, but I can tell you that the dreamer is far from balance.

Since you know this detail you can understand how really wrong the dreamer is for believing that her past reactions and conclusions can help her in any way. The backpack’s color is misleading. It reflects what the dreamer thinks about her past conclusions and her past ideas, while she is mentally ill and she cannot trust her own thoughts. Her mind was invaded by her anti-conscience.

She is now carefully analyzing her past through dream translation. The unconscious mind is gradually eliminating the pain caused by her traumas, and showing her what had really happened to her.

Therefore, the fact that she had a backpack was negative. This backpack is a burden on her shoulders. She must get rid of this backpack instead of believing that her old ideas and conclusions can help her in her life.

The translation of this part of the dream clearly shows you the negative meaning of the backpack.

Now, I’m going to translate a few sentences of a dream dreamt by a 35- 45-years old woman where the backpack appears in a dream scene. She is not mentally ill. Her basic problem is related to a love relationship.

‘Then the class ended and I couldn’t find my blue backpack, which had my keys and my books. How was I supposed to get back to work?’

Dream Translation:

The backpack is what you carry with you from your past. It represents your past ideas, your memories, and everything that connects you with your past behavior and your past life.

The blue color represents comprehension. Thus, everything that comes from your past makes you have the behavior of a comprehensive person.

Since you lost your backpack, this means that you lost the content you are carrying in your personality and in your mind from the past, which gave you a comprehensive character (blue color). In other words, you are a person who understands everything very easily and has the reactions of average people. You lost this content that was influencing your behavior because now you understand that you cannot be like average people are. You have to be superior.

The keys represent a solution in dreams. Since you lost your keys, this means that you lost a solution you had found. In other words, you forgot a solution you had found in the past, and this is why you lost your keys. Or, you are in a situation that demands a lot more from you and you cannot use the same solution you usually use when you are in a difficult situation. Now you have to face a new situation that demands a different tactic.

Your books represent the knowledge given by human beings, which is a false knowledge, limited by the human ignorance.

Therefore, the fact that you lost your backpack is not negative, as it seems to be. You lost your old ways, which were based on misconceptions. What you carry with you in your backpack in dreams is the collection of erroneous concepts you have from the past. You got rid of this collection now that you are studying the meaning of your dreams and you have to face a different situation. Now you have to deal with the complicated case of the person you love.

You must pay attention to the unconscious lessons in your dreams because the solution you used to use in order to solve your problems in the past (keys) and the knowledge you have from studying what human beings have taught you (books) cannot help you in the situation you are now.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

As you can see, the backpack (or travel bag) always has a negative meaning in a dream. It represents your old ways to deal with life’s challenges, which are based on erroneous conclusions, even if you are not mentally ill and you didn’t have serious traumas in the past.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung’s research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to accurately translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.

Learn how to succeed at making your dream a reality. Six simple steps that makes creating dreams achievable. Valuable information anyone can use, cause a good teacher is the best student.

Your Dream. Your Motive. Definition of Dream: an experience of waking life having the characteristics of a dream or a series of thoughts, images, or emotions occurring during sleep…. Dreams are very simple to create. This is my point, don’t put this word dream on a pedestal. You make the dream for yourself unachievable with the power in the word “DREAM.”

Example: My Dream. My Motive. My dream is to be a well known Performing Artist. Motive: Your hobby is not an career until you get paid for it. I wanna make money for something I love to do. In your one life don’t waste time being unhappy at a job. Don’t watch your life go down the drain. I love to sing and perform, that’s what is going to make me the best. MOTIVE…

So a hobby is something you like to do, so what if you got paid for something you like to do? I call these kind of goals, dreams. Cause if I have the power to go up inside my head and image myself doing this, I just created a dream. Your hobby is something you do for free, until you actually start to get paid, and that makes it a <strike>job</strike> or career. So how much more would you do it if you were paid for it? Hmmmm???? Think about that one. ALL THE TIME!!!

Now, psychologically, we put a weight on our minds with the word “Dream.” It sounds way more bigger then it actually is. Imagine me telling you: “I want you to help me lift my “757 Jumbo Jet,” 2″ inches off the ground. I know my jet is 60 lbs., but you don’t know it’s a model jet inside my apartment. See how the description of what I needed help with seemed bigger then we could lift, until I told you it was a model jet. This is the same way we look at the word “Dream.” Also keep in mind, that this is a sub-conscious decision to look at the word negatively. It’s not a conscious decision. The weight of the word “Dream” directly impacts our effort mentally and physically. And effort is the only way you can get results from anything. “Ohhh, he’s following his dream.” “Ohhh, he’s living his childhood dream.” Look at the definition of dream again. It’s not that hard to create a dream and live it. The point: Don’t over think the term, “Follow Your “Dreams!”

What is your motive? You know my motive. I have to create a living for my family and myself. My hobby is singing, and I love to do it. Not only do I sing, but I’m above average. It’s my opinion, that life is too short to be stuck at a job, not having control over your schedule or your life. Plus, what’s the chances of you hating your job? I want to be happy, and travel the world. We only have one life to live. So my motive is to create a living doing what I love. Singing….. Following my dream, accomplishing my dream, and have fun doing it is my goal or intention.

So find out what your motive is, and really bring your motive to the light. “Huh, bring my motive to the light?” Yes, understand your purpose for wanting this dream. Your motive is what makes you stay up late when your tired. Your motive push you to make the necessary sacrifices.

Example: Your car represents your dream, and your motive represents your gasoline. Your Jet represents your dream, and your jet fuel represents your motive. Don’t allow yourself to forget why your following your dream. Cause if your car runs out of gas, or your jet is low on fuel, or if you forget why your following a dream can you imagine the circumstances or the consequences. Forgetting your motive or not having one is similar to the example of running out of the key elements in this example. (Fuel, Gas, Motive, Drive, Effort, Passion, Determination) Don’t ever run out or Don’t ever forget the cause. Stay around positive influences!

Do not listen to people that don’t agree with what you believe in, it’s up to you to prove it to yourself. Everyone has their own theory or opinion. It’s okay to listen, but be careful because it can create doubts, sub-consciously. Just as the word “Dream” use to carry weight, peoples opinion could cause you to lack the confidence you need to push through the rough times. I’m going to be honest, it’s not going to be easy. Hey, life ain’t easy, why would accomplishing your goals or dreams be easy? Also visa versa, support from positive people, role models, and/or mentors is just as influencing. Get good people in your corner, get rid of people that means you no good. Your peace and success is at stake. Including family, sorry sometimes family members tend to have bad motives.

Next, your life dreams, cannot be a dream, if you have not dreamed it yet. Tongue twister, right? Read it again if necessary. Remember the definition of dream? If you haven’t dreamed your dream yet, this is simple to fix. Creating dreams is fun & simple.

Example: My dream is to be a famous singer. I watch movies such as, The Five Heartbeats, The Movie RAY, and many others. I go on YouTube and watch famous singers in concert. I also watch a lot of the interviews with performing artist to learn from them. I listen to there experiences, and there stories. I learn pitfalls to avoid, and this is why interviews exist. Remember when I mentioned peoples influences, and role models? You can create those positive influences, and role models through these interviews. You don’t have to have them as a mentor, and you don’t have to know them to get the power of influence working at your advantage. Just continue to learn and study everything that has involvement with your dream. I daydream some of those concerts I seen on youtube and image myself in their shoes, like a glimpse. I build my images of the lifestyle in my daydreams, through their videos, and put exactly how I want my reality to be when I accomplish my dream. Before I go to sleep, I’m living that lifestyle in my head, so I cannot wait to go to sleep at night cause before I fall asleep, I’m imaging me before a show, things I’m going to do during my show. I can see what outfit I have on, everything. I live this in my head every chance I get, I call it brainwashing, or programming myself. It’s fun imaging my huge screaming crowd.

”You have to dream it, to believe it. You have to believe to achieve it. “

Basically I’m painting my own image of what it’s going to be like. Sometimes when I fall asleep, my sub-conscious mind take the dream to new heights. I focus my mind on my dream and what I want in my dream. I sit and daydream it as much as I can, because I’m that person in my head. So when I am famous it won’t be nothing new to me, because I can tell that artist, “Hey, you know I lived this life through you?” So when I get on stage in front of thousands for the first time, it won’t be the first time. Many artist are not worried or afraid the first time and we know why now.

Understand this, you don’t have to really dream the dream sub-consciously. If you do, and when you do, that’s good, but you don’t try to create that it’ll just happens. But you do want to create & live the dream in your dream for a while before it can come to reality. Remember, whatever you focus on expands.

Last but not least, chasing dreams… Chasing dreams is, in some cases, a sacrifice. Cause you still have to create a living, but you have got to have a plan. What is a plan exactly? Scheme or method of action or arrangement, developed in advance… A plan is a step-by-step process to achieve a scheme, goal or intention. Step-by-step means you cannot go to step 5 without completing steps 1-4 in chronological order. If you start now, you will have about 300 steps, so a way to eliminate that is to know the different types of goals or plans. Short Term, Mid Term, and of course Long Term… This process will reduce the amount of steps you’ll have to take. After planning properly, you’ll physically know exactly how to achieve the attended goal and you’ll know how much time it will take. You also should know the advantages and the disadvantages, plus the pitfalls to avoid.

“I’m so confident you will achieve your dream in life now. Why?”

Recap:

1.)You clearly know what a dream is, and how to create one.

2.)The word “Dream” alone no longer impacts you negatively. Also the word “Dream” no longer attach mental and physical failure to your effort to accomplish your dream.

3.)You understand the importance of “Motive” and how it directly effects your effort to get results.

4.)You know “The Power of Influence.” By friends, family, role models, mentors, etc….

5.)You know how to daydream and live the lifestyle or dream in your head first, to make it a reality, along with your efforts.

6.)Plus you know exactly how to plan your way to success, and the motto is: “You failing to plan is planning to fail.”

And personally, I feel your 400 times more confident to succeed at accomplishing your dream, because you have understanding and control. So you will be successful if you want to be…. Remember have fun… Subscribe to my profile for more articles with similar information.
You need people skills for dealing with every negative thing in your life.

Dealing With The Negative People In Your Life.

                                    By Abundant Robert AWOLUGUTU

Bondage is- subjection to external influences and internal negative thoughts and attitudes.-W. Clement Stone.

Dear Precious reader, in this write-up, we critically examine the effects the negative behavior of people can have on our lives and how we can develop the skills for dealing with it. It is a fact of life that we cannot completely insulate our lives from negative people.

Your ability to recognize people with negativity is the first step towards dealing with them. Sometimes the negative people you have to deal with are people who are very close to you, such as a work colleague, a friend, a spouse or a relative with who you share common accommodation.

Who is a negative person? A negative person is any person who has a negative attitude towards himself and others.

They do not see any good in any situation. They, like losers, always see problems rather than challenges.

They are pessimists who see impossibilities rather than possibilities in every situation. They always feel life is unfair to them.

Their negativity may be about a deep seated problem in their life. It may even be about something they experienced in their childhood which they have carried into their adult life.

Effect Of Negative Behaviour

Negative behavior not only adversely affects the negative person but others around him. You are your own worst enemy if you are a negative person.

A negative attitude disempowers the negative person. His thinking does not serve him in a positive way.

He does not believe he has the potential to turn things around. They always blame other people for their troubles.

It is this kind of negativity that stifles their growth and keeps them stuck in life.

The negativity of some people may be the actual reflection of their emotional problems like anger, envy and anxiety among others.

The negative person may experience health problems. Peter McWilliams once quipped; “From a medical point of view, negative thinking suppresses the immune system, raises the blood pressure, and creates a general level of stress and fatigue in the body. In short, infections, cardiovascular irregularities, the degeneration of muscles, and the random growth of unwanted cells get more opportunity.”

Get your emotions under control, do away with negativism and avoid unnecessary self-induced health problems.

The negative behavior of some people can be harmful to you especially if you are emotionally weak. They can drain you of energy.

Their behavior can put you in a lousy state. You may get into feeling depressed and exhausted as a result of nagging from a negative person.

The negativity of a person can be contagious. Their negativity may rub off on you to the extent that you may start behaving in a negative way. Denis Diderot said it so well, “We are far more liable to catch the vices than the virtues of our associates.”

If you want to fly like an eagle, you have no business being in the company of ducks. You have to associate with the right people.

To become successful, surround yourself with successful people. Negative people can only drag you to their level.

Strategies For Dealing With The Negative Person.

Once you know who a negative person is and the possible influence they can have on your life, you need to have strategies for dealing with the situation.

Do Not Argue With A Negative Person

You are not wise if you argue with a negative person. The negative person usually takes an entrenched stance.

You cannot fix the problem with arguments. However, if you see in him a willingness to change, help him do so.

Help The Negative Person If You Can.

Depending on the relationship you have with the negative person, maintain a posture of detachment and be very objective with his case. As he whines or complains, let him know that if the situation is to change, it must come from him.

The ability to change things lies with him. And we can always make the best out of the worse.

The negative person must know that whatever the problem, a solution to it exists, and if he is serious enough, he can find it. Mary Engelbreit remarked, “If you don’t like something change it, if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”

We can always see something good in a thing another perceives as bad. Perception is not reality.

Take in this piece of advice by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale who wrote: “Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities- always see them, for they’re always there.”

With my experience as a counsellor, it is always better to let the negative person seek within himself a solution than you asking him to do certain things. If you give him specific instructions which turn out badly or do not work, the negative person will blame you.

Make sure to get his input when solving his problem. He will cooperate in carrying out an activity if he has made an input to it.

If you know the reason why the person is putting up a negative behavior, the better. Appropriate action can be taken.

For as Jerome Fleishman once said, “Always there will be, along the sidelines of life, inferior souls who throw mud at those whose attainments they do not quite understand. The man who really accomplishes doesn’t pay attention to such detractors. If he did, he’d be on their level. He keeps an eye single on the higher goal- and mud never touches him.” Pay no attention if the negativity is based on envy or jealousy.

Make sure to get your emotions under control. When you allow your emotions to go wild, you will blunder and end up as a failure. Dorothy Day once observed, “We plant seeds that will flower as results in our lives, so best to remove the weeds of anger, avarice, envy, and doubt.”

Focus on your goals. Keep looking on the bright side of things.

Share A Positive Experience

After listening to the litany of negativism by the negative person, share with him your own success story in which you turned a negative situation to a positive one. Your story should encourage him to explore and enrich his life.

The negative person should realize that there are always opportunities in every difficult situation for enriching our lives.

Success Leaves Clues

Often the negative person does not know that he can achieve success by modeling the patterns of excellence of successful people. Whatever you want to do in this world has been done by somebody already.

Some of those who have made their mark in life have written books in which they have described the processes or steps they used to chalk up success. If we read their books, we shall know what to do to take our lives to the next level.

These fundamental truths should be made known to the negative person.

The Negative Person Should Remember His Positive Past

Most people are able to remember their negative past than their positive past. This is because of the strong emotions that have accompanied our negative past such as the serious blunders, mistakes and failures we encountered.

Let the negative person recount his achievements and successes. This will boost his morale and self esteem.

Confidence enables us to take risks. Without risk no worthwhile achievement can be made.

Rosalyn Carter noted, “You have to have confidence in your ability and then be tough enough to follow through.” When you celebrate your successes, you raise the level of your self esteem and this alone can motivate you to take massive action towards the achievement of your goals.

Call The Negative Person To Action

A negative person always sees impossibilities with every situation. They believe their situation is hopeless so no light can be seen at the end of the tunnel.

This is usually due to the fact that the negative person focuses more on problems than solutions. Goals cannot be achieved without action on their part.

They need a shift in their thinking from problem-centred to solution-centred

Conclusion

Negative people are energy vampires. They are dream destroyers.

Anais Nin has said it all: “From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life.”

What is your dream? If you can apply certain principles your dreams will see the reality of the day.

To actualize your idea or dream, you should break it down into little portions then develop a plan to carry them out. Without a plan, your dream will never become a reality. Planning brings order into your life. Order is the first law of success. Without order, you will keep on going in circles and accomplishing little or nothing.

At the planning stage, you consider the cost of the project. You must sit down and carefully map out a strategy to bring your idea or dream to life. Map out all the necessary steps to take before your dream becomes a reality. If you win on paper, it is possible that you will win in reality, but if you think through on paper and solve all your potential problems, and challenges, you will not succeed in the pursuit of your dream.

At the planning stage, you will discover your possibilities and challenges. This is when the weakness, strength, opportunities and potential threats to your idea or dream will arise. This is what is referred to as the SWOT analysis of your idea. The more thorough you are with this analysis, the easier it is for you to execute it. If you don’t deal with your problems during the planning stage, they will become stumbling blocks when you begin the execution of your plan.

To succeed, you should have at least two back-up plans in case the first one encounters some unforeseen problems in future. Having plan A, B, C and D is not a sign or fear of faith, it is a sign that you have thought through your plan and considered every possible thing that could wrong in its execution. You have factored in the unknown and proffered solutions to them before they arise.

Every conceivable scenario has been played out and you have solutions to them. People who begin and pack up did not think through on their opportunities and challenges. In fact, you should create challenges in your mind before they ever show up and come up with solutions to them so that you are never scared of unforeseen problems.

Before going into ant business, ask this question, “What is the worst thing that could possibly happen?” This question prepares you for any eventualities or unforeseen contingencies. When you answer this question, you prepare yourself to meet whatever challenge arises in the course of pursuit of your dream or idea.

Does the thought process of "powerful" people differ from the rest of us?

There is no shortage of problems facing Barack Obama – the economy, Iraq, Afghanistan, health care, the environment, the 2012 election campaign and much more. It’s enough to make anyone wonder how any one person can handle it all. And a cottage industry of presidential scholars, theorists, psychologists and your average “Joe the plumber” types have evolved to try and figure out the makeup of a president and weather or not he, or she, could get the job done.

Study of People in Power

A study by researchers in the Netherlands shed some light on the subject. They found that people who are in power routinely think in a way that makes difficult decisions easier to make.

To prove their theory, the researchers took two groups of volunteers and asked them to remember times when they felt someone else exerted power over them and the reverse, when they held power over others. Then the volunteers were asked to solve a complex problem or select from a number of options (like picking among four car models with many different option packages). The experiment aimed to have the volunteers pick a certain “correct” solution by determining which car had the best or worst features. Each group of volunteers were given time to think about the problem, but some of them were intentionally distracted during the process.

The Powerful Don’t Worry About Being Distracted

The results revealed that those volunteers considered “powerless” did better when they were distracted, that is when they weren’t consciously thinking about a problem, while the “powerful” volunteers performed well irrespective of whether they were distracted or not. This, according to the researchers, proved that powerful people’s thinking is better when it comes to complex decisions. The scientists posit that people aren’t able to effectively consider every possibility of a problem and trying to do so just entraps them in too much detail. They say that powerful people, when faced with a problem needing a complex decision, were better at identifying the better choice.

Personal Lives Affected

This research is not the first of its type to delve into the question of how decision makers function. For example, in a 2007 study researchers determined that people who did well when asked to make decisions given hypothetical situations were also more likely to have positive outcomes in their lives. They also found that it may be possible to improve the quality of people’s lives by teaching them better decision-making skills.

Of course, the details of how a president’s mind works (or doesn’t work well), could come down to a more basic characteristic – courage. According to presidential scholar Michael Beschloss, author of Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How they Changed America, 1789-1989, the willingness to take political risk – even though it might jeopardize a president’s career, may be the most important attribute for a president, especially in times when taking risks are necessary to get through major challenges – and there are plenty of them facing President Obama, or any president.

Each one of us experiences the upside down relationship—it’s like a challenge for “a summer exodus to the shore” where the lovers are already fed up, migrated as the whole group and dumped all of them along the seashore. The love thing takes center stage if you’ve ever been in love; you’ve probably at least considered classifying the feeling as an addiction. The lined-up articles sound like challenge, relationship advice, providing you with assistance in dating, friendship or intimate lovers’ problems, A feeling of intense desire and attraction towards a person is highly recommended with whom the lover is disposed of making a pair. We called this pair the emotion of physical transformation and romance. Let’s begin and find out the denotation and connotation of the title:

1. We are facing a never-ending day to day challenge that we must overcome to survive many problems, complications, troubles and intricacies. Everyone faces challenges in life regardless of age, gender, and economic status. Right from a young age up to a ripe age, everyone faces a challenge almost everyday in life. The bigger your life’s goal, the greater your challenge is. Facing and overcoming problems require some amount of maturity, understanding and strategy. These are the challenges that tag as the summer exodus to the shore.

2. We all face tough and difficult challenges in life. Some become difficult to overcome, especially when the odds are attacked against us. Going against all odds is something that we are capable of doing. To overcome such challenges, we need to have this “never quit” attitude in life. If we develop it, we’ll be able to overcome a bit of it. The challenge should bring out the best of us. Develop that swagger in saying there’s no way we’re going to fail. If we develop this mindset, we’ll get everything smoothly done.

3. Let failure fuel and fear us in a positive way. Most people avoid challenges because they’re afraid of failing. Anyone can fail anytime, but it’s not that counts. For us, it’s the precious time we are going to get up in life. How we perform as a unified individual is what separates us from others, and is considered as determining factor in our overall success and achievement.

4. I agree absolutely the saying that having a crush on someone is a sign that you’re growing up. It can be fun and sometimes disappointing. Adolescence is the phase, especially when a child is on the road of transformation. There are physical changes that occur—parts of them may be manifested physically, mentally, cognitively or sexually.

5. While love can occur at any age, the first time that a person falls in love. I’m in love is invariably kicked off during adolescence period. It is a love that a person never forgets because he invokes his feelings about being the teenager who has never experienced before. The excitement and the drama of adolescence take center stage. The love or affection is something that no one forgets, even when he reaches full-fledged adulthood.

6. Adolescence love is not wrong and should not be portrayed as adventurous as it is. Instead, the teenager should be supported to pass through the difficult phase when he is setting out to get hurt or feel too badly. Also, if the adolescent is dumped, he should be shown that it is not the end of the world, and there are still people out there who still love and care for him.

The challenge is normal for the teenagers to encounter problems as they grow up and become mature. If ever they experience failures, they serve only as the conduit to be aware of the situations and they will be ready in the future challenge because of the painful experiences. Crushing on someone is part also of growing up, but it does not mean there are no more limitations of dating. There are pros and cons of dating. They should be aware of their actions and consequences once they go beyond the borderline. The teenagers are so adventurous, but they are not supposed to delve into situations that give them risks in the future. The only thing they can do for the time being is to take good care of themselves—it’s the best awareness and protection in order for them not to go into a thorny pit where they can’t get in and get out.

Learn to hold God by his own words as it has helped many fight off life's diverse challenges.

Holding God by his words is the best way to cause God fulfill his promises to you. Even before he made you and moulded you inside your mother’s womb and brought you out after nine months, his words as promises have been made to you. I always tell my readers in a Nigerian magazine where I pen the motivational column that you never asked to be created by God therefore you need not worry about what to eat nor what to wear as he has said in his word that as much as he provides the birds of the air and earth foods, how much more someone like you whom he made in his own image.

In the Bible, Jacob used it on an angel whom he battled for hours on end telling him bluntly that he will never let him go unless he blesses him. Did that happen in his life? Yes it did – his lineage begat our lord Jesus Christ. He is your Rose of Sharon and your Lilly of the adorable valley – your mountain-mover.

God also said that everyday his name still remains the same, that you should try him. Bring all your burdens to him in prayers and there is no way he would not come to your aid for as much as a father would not feed his children scorpion in place of bread, that he would do exceedingly well all that concerns you today and for the rest of your life. You don’t have to hide under your cloak of sinfulness and refuse to pray yourself out of your heavy laden situation in life believing that he will not answer you when you did for he said that while we are still sinners, he sent his one and only begotten son our lord savior to die on the cross for our sin. This is pure and undiluted love – the only reason why we should persist in knocking down the doors of our Lord God in our times of trials.

God’s words in the bible are many and you must hold him responsible to all of them by saying and repeating his words to him. There is no way that you do so and he wouldn’t soften his unblemished heart in his mercy and grace to remember you and carry you on his bosom like your earthly father would and you will have cause to sing his praises once again.

Remember, God does not lie for put it succinctly that instead of any word that came out of him to come back to him unfulfilled in our lives let instead the entire world and the heavens pass away. And now, remember he made us know that there in nothing difficult for him as he neither sleeps nor slumbers and that by faith we shall make exploits in his name. So go on and hand him over all your burdens and desires as he would handle exceedingly all that concerns you today until you are in the midst of plenty and the blessed will call you blessed.

This is a writeup highlighting challenges encountered by Nigeria women in politics.

In all spheres of human endeavour, women participation is seen as a move which sets standards for others to follow. Participation of women in politics has a great significance to the development of any society because women symbolize reproduction of life itself. The nature of a woman also places her on a better pedestal in society as she serves as role model both to the child and the society as mother and wife respectively.

In Africa generally, and Nigeria in particular, women participation in politics has faced various challenges which have contributed to fewer women in politics or lack of participation in some levels.

Discussion of these challenges would go a long way in enlightening us and alerting us on the areas we can be of help. They are as follows:

1) A larger percentage of the party memberships are men and this tends to influence decision making within the party when it is time to nominate candidates for elections.

2) In the African setting, Nigeria inclusive, women are relegated to the background in some circles because of socio-cultural and religious inclinations of the populace. They are regarded as child bearers and child rearers, consequently they are viewed as not fit to partake in other socio-economic and political activities, thereby lacking support of the electorate.

3) The Pudah system in the Northern part of the country is one factor militating women participation in politics. It is a socio-cultural practice that restricts women interaction in the society.

4)     Illiteracy is a major setback women are facing in politics. The political awareness of a person depends on his/her educational status. Most families believe that enrolling the female child in school is waste of resources since she is to be betrothed to someone when she is grown, ironically depriving the future adult female the foundation needed in her political life;

5) Finance is a crucial hindrance to effective female participation in politics in Nigeria. A greater percentage of the female population are not as economically strong as their male counterparts. Consequently, the women either adhere to the dictates of their financiers or risk engaging in politics with inadequate fund.

6) Family responsibilities such as childbearing and maintaining the home also pose challenges to the women from active participation in partisan politics. Most women of child bearing age involved in politics are frequently distracted by domestic activities thereby not giving their political activities the required attention needed to break even.

7)    In trying to be on the same footing with the men in politics, the women aspire to socialize with other people in the field, and in the process, are misunderstood and most times sexually harassed;

8) Societal issues militating women participation in politics consist of the notion that women politicians are wayward. This tends to attach stigma to any woman who is in politics. In order to avoid being depicted as such, majority of women steer clear of politics.

Conclusion

Going by the records, the few female political office holders in Nigeria have performed excellently in their duties, notwithstanding the challenges. It therefore behooves on us to provide women with the adequate environment to have a level playing ground with their male counterparts in politics, in order to encourage more female participation in politics in Nigeria.

Dreamers are them who have something positive to impart on humanity. This is how to be a dreamer.

Dreaming is an exercise that comes to different people in
different means. Some people dream while in a trance while others encounter
theirs while asleep. But the kind of dream I’m talking about here is that dream
you see in your mind’s eye’s. That dream that makes you smile to yourself and
make people not to believe you and in you.

You happen to be the only person that believes in yourself.
Remember the Wright brothers who dreamt about airplane – a flying mechanism and
machine that would transport human beings from one location to another. Theirs
was the kind of dream I’m talking about here today. The dream that would make
your doubters embrace you and eulogize you to the high heavens knowing that you
have positively imparted humanity.

From the foregoing, I want to give my own definition of who
a dreamer is. A dreamer in this context is an achiever with ideas to make
his/her life better and ends up affecting the rest of humanity positively with
their positive approach to their ideas.

Dreamers are never-say-dies. Nothing puts them down. They do
not scare at all until they accomplish their dream of success.

That is why you must not quit as you know quitters are sore
losers who never amount to anything in life as they have personal devils
tormenting them and ruining their God-given talent from being of great value to
humanity.

I always write about people making use of their talents to
impart humanity. It is what God has blessed you with and you must search
yourself to figure out your own talent. Every human being is having it in them
so don’t go believing that you do not have yours as you must make impart before
your time is up here on earth.

If we all believe and contribute our individual quotas, the
world will definitely be a better place for all. Make that change of heart
today and dare to dream, as dreamers are the best things to have happened to
humanity.
