How the Neolithic Age came to be.

Since man first walked the Earth, the needs to socialize and be secure from common enemies have motivated people to live in close proximity with one another. In the last five thousand years there has been a trend for people to be attracted to metropolitan areas.

The lives of those who work on the streets can be miserable and difficult – but is there an upside?

There was once a need for cities — they brought together capital, equipment, the market, expertise, culture, and organization into close proximity and benefited everyone. Now, cities are unneeded relics of a bygone era, and we should not subsidize cities or parts of cities to fund their activities. Cities should sink or swim on their own merits. Does sending billions of dollars into cities to prop them up make city governments lazy about making sure they are attracting residents and businesses.

The incidences of overloading, faulty vehicles and careless driving among the truck operators are alarming. Drive on any busy road and you will see what I mean. There are trucks so overloaded that it takes very little to unbalance them. There are also trucks without signal lights, or effective brakes. Together with their “go-to-hell” attitude, fatal accidents all too often remind us of this in discipline.
