Mission Impossible and Syria and the Middle East
Kings and Russia and N. Korea and Cuba

It can’t be money, it can’t be sex, it can’t be drugs. Ruling power is all that it can be.
Wow.

This article shows how each nation under Communist or Socialist rule, can get rid of their despotic rulers, just as Tom Cruise and the Bourne Conspiracy would do it.

Imagine the wonderment if all nations were democratic. Not hybrids but true democracies; no graft, no lies, no loss of freedoms, easier access to health care, border to border infrastructure improvements, jobs, safe environments and never another world war.

We would need one umbrella Joint Chiefs of Staff, and “replacement trainee presidents and military officers” ready to go to replace those that will be removed by
this movie’s methods and movements.

We would also need to create a new UN cause the current one houses the enemy.

First, we ID the enemies. They include:

a; China
b; N. Korea
c; Russia
d; Cuba
e; Myanmar
f; Vietnam
g. other Asiatic nations?
H. ALL Muslim nations

Then, we ID replacement president candidates. And we ask the new candidates to design a new constitution that has no religion in it–for 3 years, no religious
activities would be practiced.

While religion has its place, as it is, Communist and Socialist nations use fake Christian or real Muslim policies to restrict partly or fully, human rights.

Thus, all of those policies have to be dispensed with. Thus, no Muslim practices. Their leader did, after all, gain converts by threatening them, not by loving them.

Of course, in short order, the spies within the Communist and Socialist nations will know that our umbrella group is meeting. It will meet in a safe, covert house.

“Rules and policies” that are intended to last for a minimum of one month are to be created and then, studied by both US business consultants and constitutional law professors in the US and Canada. These rules and policies lead the ex-Communist and Social nations into federal and state constitutions. This “injection”needs to be put into place as soon as the dictators are “removed.”

Most of the middle east has, as its weakness, no leaders to step into the void and no democratic constitution ready to be put into use. That is the “killer.” Iraq took years to put one together while the Iraqi and US military tried to keep the nation together. Absurd. A new constitution is both a band-aid and a surgical tool as well as a legal one; it must be “conditionally complete” and put into effect in minutes after the dictators and kings are replaced.

It is easy to understand why women, for example, will be hesitant to behave as if they have been freed since coup de etats happen frequently–one guy knocks out the current baddie and in weeks or months, he himself is knocked out by the recently deposed or by a new comer as the new guy is often as bad as the one toppled.

Also, our new laws will have to prohibit cultural processes–going after traditional males in the villages who might attack or at least reprimand the females for “going naked.” [A father and his sons just executed a daughter for listening to American music!]

The biggest blunder Syria and other failing freedom fighters are losing is that they attack in the daylight and overtly. That is dumb. Since the U.N. will not help the Syrian or Yemenese freedom fighters, the rebels must use military methods: split into squads, attach specific state and federal government buildings and staff. Turn off water, electricity and phone lines. Use x-ray types of optics to see where in each building, government people are. Make extensive use of feints; pretend to be one place while focusing on being elsewhere. Go after the families of government officials and just kidnap them-do not harm them. Do things quietly, covertly–under the cover of dark and then, scatter or at least, quietly and covertly, return to safe houses.

Also, give each dictator 1 week to leave. On the eight day, all at one time, blow up the buildings where the kings and dictators do their dictating. Depreciate their power.

Use hit squads……never use jeeps to act like roving bandits.

Each nation must act in concert with the others–so that the dictators and kings know they and their teams are marked.

Sometimes, trusted advisors and body guards will help the rebels eliminate the bad leaders. Those same guards will be given non guard jobs when the new constitution is put into place. That will keep them away from the new power circles.

Imagine the economic benefits to the world of forcing out all the dictators:

If there was only a UN force that had teeth like the US army military does, it could do what Michael Renne’s “The Day the Earth Stood Still”’s robot force was designed to do; start a war, die. If a government officer was accused of breaking a law, he-she would be removed immediately during an investigation [not belatedly] and held under house arrest.

With only one world military, national budgets could shrink 95%. Or there would not be any need for any military budget.

With radical religious people stopped dead in their tracks, “religious radicalism” would be stopped immediately. Praying is one thing but only Christianity, Buddhism and the like would be tolerated because the other religions limit their members to behaviors outside what the law permits/restricts.

With only fairness and equity and all people protected, every nation’s infrastructure would be improved to match cities like Amsterdam, San Francisco, and other dynamic and clean, safe places.

People in every village of the world would have immediate access to health care. Immediate access to all levels of education and could study any field they chose. Women, in more than one half the nations today would be able, for the first time ever, to freely move around, hold any job they wished that was open, have any self-employment they chose, and did not need relative escorts.

With these almost immediate changes, the world’s and nation’s gross national and domestic product would sky rocket. It would increase because, before this transition, women in many cities and nations, are not permitted to make use of their abilities; they are restricted to being mothers. Many Arabs who would stop sitting in front of their stores and go and grasp clients and have true businesses, would start earning 4x their current incomes.

Casinos would climb and leap in value in some cities and be closed in others as women and intelligent men would make superior choices on the use of both their living expenses and their discretionary funds.

Dirt roads throughout Africa and Asia would be converted to cement [if viable] and thus, perhaps faster movement. In those African nations where slaves have been a primary employee source [with no pay] would immediately have to hire staff to do whatever was needed to be done. Over 1,000,000 people who are slaves would be put back into the free market environment and be able to have free movement.

Those individuals who wish to be intimidating rather than use creative, ethical ways to start and grow firms will find themselves in prison for their life-times and will be given chances to handle high risk tasks for the prison system; being guinea pigs for medicine testing, test out and place, water flow electric generation systems, and settle on asteroids and perhaps the moon [like Australia was a penal colony, the moon would become one.]

Children in Central and S. American nation villages that have no infrastructure would have their villages either eliminated or brought up to city codes.

Street drugs would be removed from society and the Mexican and other nation’s drug cartels would be removed from society and placed with the prisoners on the moon or elsewhere.

Places like Siberia and the Mongolian desert could be converted into totally safe and comfortable places to live with the rarely used or tried, plexiglas covered cities. 100% of the city would be covered. All residents would live in a temperature controlled environment.

World unemployment would disappear. Intelligence would sky rocket. Freedom would be the key as long as one’s freedom did not include physically harming others.

How the soviet union became a communist state.

The communist who overthrew czarist Russia in 1917 had strong ideas about the future. When they put their ideas into practice, they drastically transformed the economic geography of the region.

The communists had been inspired by the work of Karl Marx, a German philosopher who had examined the history of economic systems. Marx believed that the capitalist system was doomed because it concentrated wealth in the hands of a few and left everyone else in poverty. He predicted that a communist system would replace capitalism. In a communist society, he argued, citizens would own property together, and everyone would share the wealth.

To move their society toward communism, Soviet leaders adopted a command economy one in which the central government makes all important economic decisions. The government took control of the major sources of the state’s wealth, including land, mines, factories, banks, and transportation systems. Government planners decided what products factories would manufacture, what crops farms would grow, and even what prices merchants would charge for their goods.

Image via Wikipedia

Rapid industrialization became a major goal of soviet planning. Even farming became an industry under Stalin. The Soviet government created enormous collective farms on which large teams of laborers were gathered to work together. People were moved to the farms by the thousands. By 1939, nearly nine out of ten farms were collectives. The Soviets had firmly established their power over the countryside.

Although industrial and agricultural production increased, the region’s people had to make great sacrifices for this rapid transformation. Millions of citizens starved to death in famines caused, in part, by the creation of collective farms. Those who survived soon realized that only a small number of individuals had benefited from the economic changes.

Many people tried to do something about this betrayal, but as great risk. Under Stalin’s rule, the police swiftly punished any form of protest. Some historians estimate that Stalin was responsible for the deaths of more than 14 million people.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, leaders in Russia and the Republics have tried to reduce the state’s monopoly on economic power and return some control to private individuals and businesses.

A brief account of the Soviet Union.

During the World War I, the Russian people’s anger exploded into revolt. In 1917, the Russian Revolution occurred, ended the rule of the czars. The Russian Communist Party, led v.I. Lenin, took control of the government. The Party also took charge of the region’s economy and gave Communist leaders control over all important economic decisions.

By 1922 the Communist Party had organized the different peoples absorbed during the centuries of Russia’s imperial expansion. This new nation was called the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or the Soviet union for short. The leaders of the Soviet Union ruled the nation from its new capital in Moscow.

By the time World War II broke out in 1939, Joseph Stalin had taken over the leadership of the USSR. In 1941, he led the Soviet Union in the fight against Nazi Germany. However, as the war dragged on, relations between the Soviet Union and its allies including the United States began to worsen.

Image via Wikipedia

After the war, Stalin installed pro Soviet governments in the Easter European countries that his armies had liberated from Germany. U.S. leaders feared that a new stage of Russian expansion was beginning and that Stalin would spread communism all over the globe. By the late 1940s, tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union led to conflict. Diplomats called conflict the Cold War because it never grew into open warfare between the two nations.

The rivalry between the two superpowers continued into the mid 1980s. At that time, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev started to give more economic and political freedom to the Soviet people. This began a process that led to the collapse of the Communist government and the Soviet Union in 1991 and the end of the Cold War.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the region was dividing into 15 independent republics. Of these, Russia, formally known as the Russian Federation, is the largest and most powerful. Today, Russia has a popularly elected president. Its legislature, the Federal Assembly, is divide into two chambers the Federation Council and the State Duma.

Definition

Advantages

Disadvantages

Countries/ Examples

Capitalism

-An Economic system where the trade and industrial activity within the society is privately controlled

Persons Living in a capitalist country are more inclined to work harder, because the amount of pay they get depends on it.

Creates a great divide between the rich and the poor. An example of this is the occupy wall street movement which is currently taking place in the united states movement right now.

United States of America is probably one of the greatest examples of capitalism; the country has no socialized health care, and almost no other socialized programs.

Socialism

-A system of social organization where the entire community controls production and the distribution of capital, resources, etc.

Planned Economy means no overproduced materials, and allows for more jobs.

Decreases the divide between the rich and the poor. By taxing the rich heavily and giving benefits to the poor.

The disadvantages of socialism are quite similar to that of communism. There is less work ethic, and less working people, which mean less industry, which means less tax money for the government. which causes many problems for the government of a socialist country

The formal soviet union was a socialist state.

The people’s republic of china is also socialist, as is the republic of Cuba, and the socialist republic of Vietnam, and the democratic republic of Korea.

Communism

- A system economic system where all the property in the country is controlled by the community, or the state.

Aims to create a classless, which means no divide between people and a no divide between the classes. Creates Equality in a society.

Does not give the same motivation to do well that a capitalist country does, people will not work as hard and stay in school for the same amount of time if they make the same amount of money on a high school education.

There are multiple communist countries still existing in the world today, democratic people’s republic of Korea, the people’s republic of china, and the republic of Cuba

Democracy

- A system of government where all the “eligible” population is allowed to elect representatives.

Allows the citizens of the democratic country to have more say into how their country is being run, and more insight so they may make better decisions to benefit the majority of the people, rather than the minority.

It allows any person to give their say onto an issue, if they have qualifications is not taken into account, people who know nothing about an issue, and may not be informed are allowed to continue their say.

Canada is an example of a democratic country, Australia is also an example, and England is last example of a democratic country.

Monarchy

-The state is run by one single person

If one monarch controls the entire government system it allows for a sense of national pride for citizens living in a monarch state.

The majority of people do not get any say into how the state is run, and if the monarch is doing a poor job, they cannot be removed unlike a state with representation.

Canada is an example of a branch of monarchy; it is a constitutional monarchy, as is Australia.

Denmark is another example of a constitutional monarchy

Oligarchy

-The state is run by a small group of powerful people

Because the oligarchy is run by a group of people there could be many different opinions within the group, resulting in better resolutions of issues

Because there is a large group there may be troubles coming to decisions.

Switzerland is an example of an oligarchy.

Aristocracy

-The state is run by a ruling class of people

Similar to that of oligarchy, many different opinions could result in the better resolution of issues, also the ruling class is likely better educated and would therefor make better decisions.

Because of such a large head of state, there may be miscommunications within the aristocracy, and trouble deciding on issues. Also being the entire upper class the aristocracy would likely be biased toward the upper class, they would make sure the division of wealth was rigged towards themselves.

Ancient Carthage is an example of an Aristocracy.

A Commentary:

There is no doubt whatsoever that Putin of Russia imagines that he is still living in the past when the supremacy of the Soviets had plagued the world with its venomous ideology. He has not yet gotten over his authoritative mannerisms and defiance, in spite of the disapproval of those that consider him to be arrogant, spiteful and out of line with the rules of democracy. He is no better than the dictators of some Arab countries; in fact, worse, in the sense that his disillusionment seems to be so unrealistic that he even forgets that he is now beholdened to the wishes of the people, and not to the once abhorrent bunch of authoritarians whose thirst for power had finally brought about the end of Communism on the Continent of Europe.

While there are those in Russia that think he is, in a sense, the only person that stands out as being untouchable, the majority of citizens have awakened to the fact that he has wielded power for too long and should be counted out once and for all.

Image via Wikipedia

Hussein Obama is the President of the USA. He has finished 3 years of his term and is seeking election for a second term in 2012. But what has surprised knowledgeable persons are the shrill attacks being mounted against Obama. He is being accused of being a communist, a Muslim supporter and a man who is out to break America. Sometimes one can be amused at the wide ranging accusations against Obama, except for the fact that it concerns the USA and the head of that state.

One thing these extreme right wing fringe is forgetting that by casting all sorts of aspersions on Obama, they are in effect insulting the American electorate which elected Obama. Is the American electorate so naive that they can vote into power a man who is a communist and break up America ?. Most unlikely and what is more apparent is that this right wing extremist groups have not been able to accept the fact that a colored man is head of the USA. After all policies of racial discrimination in the USA of 200 years die hard.

Whether Obama wins or loses is not the point, but America has still not come to terms with its past. Till the ghosts of the past are exorcised, America will not move forward

The government has removed a lot of our freedoms for the sake of our "freedom."

Since the attacks on September 11, 2001, the government has taken many actions in an effort to protect our nation. Most of them are fairly reasonable, some of them aren’t. It has affected everyone, from those who were born on that day to those who were already 100 years old. And that includes us teenagers, though it may be difficult for us to see the effects with our single-track minds.

The most obvious change is airport security. It now takes longer for us to go through the security checks and more items are banned from the planes. Nail files, pocket knives, and box cutters are strictly forbidden. You cannot carry more than three ounces of liquid- water, lotion, hand sanitizer, etc.- on board, either. Family members, friends and other loved ones must say good-bye earlier in the security process than they did before, too.

Also, not so obvious, is that the government now has access to the phone conversations, e-mail, and internet usage of their suspects. That’s going just a little overboard.

The attacks are also what led our government to decide that we need to have passports to go to and from Canada, which is one another silly policy. Really, I don’t think Canada is plotting an attack on us, or vice versa.

In addition, the 9/11 influenced the increase in the price of fuel, the songs we listen to (most of them are country music), and our families, for those with family members in the military. It’s torn families apart by sending troops overseas, not knowing when, or if, their loved are coming home.

Some of these actions to protect us are necessary and some aren’t, but they’ve influenced our lives nonetheless.

Napoleon has now taken the title of “Leader” and dozens of other titles for free as well. Minimus wrote a poem in praise of Napoleon, and wrote on the wall of the barn. A pile of lumber lying unused in the company, was the time of Mr. Jones and Napoleon engages in complicated negotiations for the sale of it to Mr. Frederick or Mr. Pilkington one. When negotiations for Mr. Frederick, the pigs teach the animals to hate Mr. Pilkington. When Mr. Pilkington then appears ready to buy the timber, the pigs teach the animals to hate Mr. Frederick with equal ferocity. Any company is currently out of favor is said to be the hiding place of Snowball.Following a barrage of propaganda against Mr. Frederick (during which Napoleon adopts the “Death to Frederick” maximum), the animals are shocked to learn that Mr. Frederick eventually comes across as the purchaser of the timber. The pigs talk endlessly about Napoleon’s skill, for, rather than accept a check for the timber, he insists on receiving cash. The five-pound notes are now in his possession.

Soon the animals complete the construction of the windmill. But before they can put it to use, Napoleon discovers his great indignation that the money Mr. Frederick gave him for the timber is simply a stack of forgeries. He warns the animals to prepare for the worst, and, indeed, Mr. Frederick soon attacks Animal Farm with a large group of armed men. The animals cower as Mr. Frederick men plant dynamite at the base of the windmill and blow up the entire structure. Enraged, the animals attacking humans, driving them away, but at a heavy cost: many of the animals are killed, and Boxer supports a serious injury. Pets are discouraged, but a patriotic flag-raising ceremony cheers up and restores their faith in some way.

Not long after, the pigs discover a case of whiskey in the basement farm. That night, the animals hear singing and revelry from within, followed by the sound of a terrible quarrel. The next morning the pigs look bleary-eyed and ill, and the animals hear whisperings that Comrade Napoleon may die. In the evening, however, has recovered. The next night, some of the animals find Squealer near the barn, holding a brush, fell from a ladder leaning against the point where the Seven Commandments are painted on the barn. Pets can not put two and two together, though, and when they discover that the commandment that call as saying “No animal shall drink alcohol” actually reads “No animal shall drink alcohol in excess,” have once again the blame for their be faulty memories.

Analysis

At this point, Napoleon and Squealer have so systematically distorted the truth that animals can recognize their duplicity leaders’ even when the direct testimony. Karl Marx had theorized the need for a “dictatorship of the proletariat” in the early years of his prescribed revolution, in which democratic freedoms would take second place to crush the resistance of the bourgeoisie. In Soviet Russia, Stalin and his colleagues have used the theories of Marx as a justification for their actions increasingly violent and tyrannical. They also used this Marxist principle to justify their neglect of the other principles. The Stalinist government, for example, quickly altered the noble ideals of equality of work and an allowance equal to favor the politically and militarily powerful. Even when the machinations of government has become clear to everyone in Russia, in the novel we see a time when the animals catch Squealer literally rewriting the law on the side of the barn, not significant popular revolt among the working classes never happened. Similarly, the animals show no signs of rebellion.

Poetry minimus provides compelling evidence for the largely uncritical attitude of the animals’ of the regime that oppresses.Although the poem is outrageously inflated and tastelessly sentimental, animals do not question, however, allow you to speak for them. With poetry, Orwell creates a passage of great irony and satire splendid patriotic rhetoric. Much humor of the poem comes from its combination of high and low language, exposing the ridiculousness of what he intends to celebrate. Thus, the poem praises Napoleon as “Fountain of happiness!” But even if it glorifies life under Napoleon, emphasizes its boringness “The Lord of the swill-bucket!”: “Everything that [his] creatures love” is equivalent to a “straw full belly” and “clean”. This use of stylistic contrast helps to make the tone of the poem of absolute devotion (”Oh, how my soul is on / Fire”), a parody of himself. At the same time, of course, the poem parodies actual anthems and patriotic odes. Orwell aims to expose the inanity of that patriotic feeling, and also its emptiness, if not a red herring. He suggests that the rhetoric fails to examine the essence of what is praised.

The description of Napoleon’s relations with its neighbors, Mr. Pilkington and Mr. Frederick, developed parodies Stalin’s diplomatic tap dance with Germany and the Allies at the beginning of World War II. Stalin, faced with a choice between the Allies and the Germans unpleasant fascist and capitalist reluctant to enter into another major war, stalled either side with one country and then the other, using propaganda to drag the people with his changing loyalties. At the last minute, and quite unexpectedly, has signed non-aggression pact (an agreement not to make war on one another) with the German leader Adolf Hitler, like Napoleon makes the surprise move of selling timber to Mr. Frederick. Hitler almost immediately back on his word, as is advocated by Mr. Federico forged banknotes and invaded the western frontier of Russia, eventually killing more than twenty-five million Russians and demolishing much of the infrastructure that the Soviets had built since the Russian Revolution. In his representation of the response of the animals’ wanton destruction of Mr. Frederick’s great windmill, Orwell rightly expresses a great sense of betrayal and anger that Russians felt toward Germany during and after the Second World War.

Hogs, echoing another tactic of the Victorian Government after the Second World War, the heroism of individuals to use the lower classes to strengthen the patriotism of the demoralized survivors. Orwell crafts particularly keen descriptions of patriotic celebrations and rituals of the animals after the war ‘with the men Mr. Frederick. It subtly implies that while these ceremonies have the apparent function of lavish glory of the state over the individual, they really serve the opposite purpose: to transfer the nobility of individual sacrifices on the road.

There are several remarkable parallels between Animal Farm and Orwell’s last novel, 1984. One can argue that Animal Farm was even a sort of study for 1984, which applies many of the themes and ideas Animal Farm in human society, making the horror of totalitarian government all the more real. One of the main ideas that any business faces is the ability of those in power to control and change both attitudes and history, especially by subverting language. Just as Squealer offers a range of statistics to show that Animal Farm is in better shape than ever, despite the fact that the animals are hungry and cold, so does the Ministry of Plenty, in 1984, churning out misleading reports on the mode of production is greatly increased, in fact, the ministry to reduce the rations but convinces people that they actually increase. Similarly, the alliance always alternating Animal Farm to Mr. Frederick and Mr. Pilkington and leaders claim ‘that the company has remained committed to the same farmer, reached the height of absurdity in 1984. In the midst of hate speech during the week, without thinking of the masses to accept the speaker’s assertion that their country, Oceania, which has actually been at war with Eurasia, it is not really at war and it is not never been at war with Eurasia. He says that the country is and has always been at war with Eastasia. The masses, leading to an explicit anti-Eurasia signs, they become embarrassed by their mistake apparent.

“It must be the policy of the United States to support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures,” Harry S. Truman (Truman Library, n.d.). This statement was made during an address to Congress on March 12th, 1947 in regards to offering Turkey and Greece financial and economic aid after Britain stated that they could no longer assist the countries (Truman Library, n.d.). It was the United States fear that Turkey and Greece could fall to communism without the aid of the U.S. and their fall would spread to other countries as far south as Iran and as far east as India (OurDocuments, n.d.).

The Truman Doctrine resulted in $400 million to use towards the aid of Turkey and Greece and was the beginning of new foreign policy for the United States. Greece and Turkey both found success through the aid of the U.S. The U.S. was also able to reinforce its position in the world as a powerful world leader rather than being an isolationist country. Ultimately, the Truman Doctrine was the driving force that defeated Communism (BookRags, n.d.).

Lets take a look at different types of government to determine why we have what we do.

Government is always a touchy subject. Everyone has their own opinions on what works and what doesn’t. What few people take the time and trouble to do is compare the different types of government. You see, there are many different types of government, from Monarchy to Anarchy to Democracy to Socialism. They all have their pros and their cons, but at the end of the day, what we have here in America is the best we have.

First and foremost, the American government is not a Democracy. In a Democracy, all decisions are made by the majority. That means every choice is put to a vote, from new laws to new roads. At first glance, that seems like it would be the best type of government. Everything is decided by the people. A government truly by the people, for the people. Let’s take a closer look though. Since everything is decided by the majority, the minority is excluded. That makes it very easy to exploit the system against those you don’t like. Let’s take a little trip to the past for a prime example. During World War 2, Japanese Americans were highly distrusted. Since we were at war with Japan, it was believed that any Japanese person could be a spy. Paranoia was largely kept in check by the US government. But imagine if the decisions were made by the majority. The majority fearful and angry after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out it wouldn’t end well for the Japanese Americans. Now multiply this all across time. Every time paranoia and hatred took the nation, the fearful majority would get to decide the fate of the minority. This would slowly turn America into an Elitist state where the minorities are at the best treated as second class citizens and at worst …. Well, let’s just say America wouldn’t be known for its diversity.

Next, let’s take a look at Communism, the trademark of Soviet Russia. Communism is a

form of government in which there would be no ruling class and no alienation.

This means people get what they need to do their job and nothing more. That means no poverty,

no class gap, and no starvation. Now that sounds like a good form of government, everyone

treated equally, share and share alike. On paper, Communism probably is the best type of

government. In reality, though, not so much. There are two major issues with Communism, the

individual and greed. Communism, while being great for society as a whole, it doesn’t really

allow for personal advancement. Since a person only gets what they need for their job and

survival, people don’t get the chance for fancy stuff. That means no nice car, no plasma screen

TV, nothing but food and a bed. If this were the only problem with Communism, some could

argue it would be worth it. In a lot of ways, they’d be right; it’s more than worth giving up a few

luxuries for veritable world peace. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. You see, Communism is a

three part process. First, the people have to overthrow the current government. Second, a

temporary dictator is put in place to set up the rules, laws, and systems. Third, the dictator steps

down and the worker’s system is put in place. The country becomes a self-sustaining

brotherhood of peace and love. The problem with this is step 2, the temporary dictator. A dictator

does have the power to easily put new laws and systems, since they have ultimate power. But the

thing about ultimate power, is it’s very hard to give up. Communism has been set up many times

in the past, but it’s never gotten past step 2; the ‘temporary’ dictator has never stepped down.

They say absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Communism is a prime example of this.

Okay, but what about Monarchy? I mean it worked for hundreds of years, right? Why

wouldn’t it work now? Well let’s take a closer look at Monarchy as a system of government. In a

Monarchy, all decisions are made by one person, usually a king or queen. One thing this

eliminates is bureaucracy. With one person making the rules, there’s no need for endless

discussions and filibusters. When something needs to get done, it gets done fast.

Add a group of advisors and you have one smooth, streamlined government. But, as with the

rest, this is far from perfect. It’s been said before, but it applies here just as well. Absolute power

corrupts absolutely, and there is no power more absolute than a monarchy. The entire nation rests
on the whim of the monarch. If an advisor gives advice the monarch doesn’t like, he can be put

to death with no judge and jury. If a soldier refuses to take a families last coin as tax, he can be

put to death. If the king happens to be feeling bored, some poor sod can be put to death. Suffice

to say people get put to death in a monarchy. While it’s true a monarchy is a streamlined system

that allows problems to get solved, the monarch is the one that decides what the problems and

solutions are. This can lead to some serious issues, like the monarch putting everyone he doesn’t

like to death.

Lets try taking a look at an Oligarchy. An Oligarchy is a government run by an elite

group. The group is decided by royalty, wealth, family ties, commercial, or military legitimacy.

The only way this system could be good for you is if you happen to be part of the elite group

that’s running the show. Otherwise, it’s got the corruption of Monarchy without its redeeming

streamlined quality. To pound the last nail in Oligarchies proverbial coffin, one of the most

famous Oligarchies is from George Orwell’s 1984. Orwell’s book warns against controlling

governments like Oligarchies, simply because they are so corrupt.

Okay, so what’s next? Anarchy, really? Okay, let’s take a look then. Anarchy is the law

of the jungle, meaning there are no rules. The strong survive by preying off the weak. This can

be very good for you, if you happen to be strong. If not, well then you get preyed upon. Usually

Anarchy is only a temporary state, a chaotic placeholder between governments. There are some,

however, that make Anarchy permanent. Anarchy would be good for the individual, but not

much would get done. It’s hard to make great scientific advancements when you’re always

looking over your shoulder. Granted, humanity lived in Anarchy for a great part of history.

However, as soon we became civilized, Anarchy became a thing of the past.

Last but not least, we have the Democratic Republic. The very thing that runs our nation.

The laws and rules are made by a group of officials, who are elected by the people. A majority

vote elects the lawmakers who in turn act in the best interest of the people. What really makes

this system great is its ability to root out corruption. Since the officials are elected by the people,

they have to answer to the people. People don’t take very kindly to being cheated, so the officials

have to play by the rules. If they don’t, their out of a job, or worse. Don’t get me wrong, the

Democratic Republic is far from perfect. Since the system is designed to prevent corruption, it

takes quite a long time for anything to get done. In the long run, this is really the best we can do.

Every decision has to undergo intense scrutiny, preventing any loophole or sneaky sub clauses.

On top of that, the president can take control of the country in emergencies. This isn’t necessarily

a defining quality of a Democratic Republic, but it fixes one of the major problems of the

system. Granted, this can lead to corruption. The president takes control during a crisis then

refuses to give up control. Fortunately, this has yet to happen, but we have to tread carefully.

Government is truly a dangerous thing. Either corruption runs abound or it takes ages for

anything to get done. Communism works on paper, but can’t survive the greed of man.

Democracy would work at first, but would descend into a pit of corruption and suffering.

Monarchy allows things to get done quickly, but it’s often not what needs to get done. Oligarchy

is a joke, created only in the hunger for power. Anarchy cannot survive above an animalistic

level. That leaves the Democratic Republic. It’s not perfect, far from it. It may take quite a while

for things to get done, but the system prevents corruption in all stops. I think Winston Churchill

said it best. Democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been

tried.
