A log of a nursing home volunteer’s experiences. A diary-like account of my days spent in a nursing home hopefully making a difference in the lives of those elders living there.

I had to write something on animal cruelty, for I am passionate about animals and their well-being. Neighborhoods and communities need to make it their business to make sure that the animals in the midst are taken care of and not abused. Signs of abuse must be reported. This can be done anonymously so no one needs to be afraid that their identity will be known. We all need to do what we can because they give so much to us. Let’s do what we can to give back.

My thoughts on stepping back and learning to appreciate all that you have in life -why waste time feeling guilty about people you haven’t seen for a while?Find your network and stay connected, life is far too short to dwell on the negatives.

The Homeless people need help and it is not always a drinking problem or drugs that makes families homeless. Can I ask have you helped a homeless person out or have you just turned your head and walked away?

Have you ever felt the need to contribute to a charity, or to take part in a fun filled activity? Then with Charity Challenges you are able to do both for a worthy cause.

The Community gives a sense of belonging to a person. This reminds us of the book about the the Dangerous Liaisons and of course about Casanova which show how much women suffer to make themselves accepted especially from Latin speaking countries.
