			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Plants and animals living together in an environment are sometimes said to make up a natural community. Often there exists a balance among the living things in a community. Some animals depend on certain plants for food. If there are too many animals, most of these plants will be eaten. The food supply eventually runs short and fewer animals will survive.</p>
<p>Animals depend on their environment for the things they need to live. Most plants depend on animals for their propagation. Some interactions between organisms of certain plant and animal species are very specific. A close interaction between two species over time is called <strong>symbiosis</strong>. Symbiosis means &#8220;living together&#8221;. There are several kinds of symbiosis.</p>
<p>The relationship between a bee and a flower is an example of a symbiotic relationship that benefits both organisms. As the bee sips nectar, it transfers pollen from flower to flower. Thus the bee obtains food and the flower is able to reproduce. This symbiotic relationship is called <strong>mutualism</strong>.</p>
<p>A second type of symbiosis occurs between a shark and a small fish called remora. The remora attaches itself to the shark&#8217;s body, gets a free ride, and feed on scraps from the shark&#8217;s food. The shark is not affected by the remora. The relationship between the shark and remora is an example of a symbiotic relationship called <strong>commensalism</strong> in which one organism benefits while the other is not affected.</p>
<p>Another kind of symbiosis is <strong>parasitism</strong>. An example is when parasitic bacteria feed on their host and cause diseases. A tapeworm living in a mammal&#8217;s digestive system weakens its host by absorbing some of the host&#8217;s food. So parasitism is a symbiotic relationship that benefits one organism and harms the other.</p>
<p><strong>Predation</strong> is another kind of relationship among organism. A spider eating an ant, a frog eating a mosquito, and a hawk eating a rabbit are examples of predation. The spider, frog, and hawk are predators. The ant, mosquito, and rabbit are<strong> preys</strong>. Predation occurs when one organism feeds on another.</p>
<p>Some species of animals form societies to protect one another from predators. Food, space, and other factors, however, become limited as the animals increase in number. Therefore organisms complete with one another to get the things they need.</p>
<p><strong>Competition</strong> between different species occurs when two kinds or organisms try to occupy the same niche.&nbsp; Two species cannot fill exactly the same niche. Hence the species that is better adapted will succeed. The other species either adapts to a new niche or dies out.</p>
<p>Certain behaviors reduce competition. For example, there is ranking in a population of chimpanzees. The older animals occupy the top level; hence they have the first choice of food and nesting sites. Often only the top-ranking animals reproduce.</p>
<p>Organisms forming a small organizational group always form a higher grouping (population). A population is a relatively permanent association of organisms of the same kind. Individual organisms may multiply and die but collectively, the population persists.</p>
<p>In grassland, there are populations of ragweed, a population of earthworms in a small pot of soil, or a population of birds on trees. The geographical extent of a population many vary from a small space in a plot of soil to a vast space of forest land. Population density many also vary greatly. These variations affect the availability of food and may be another cause of competition among organisms of the same species. For example, bullfrogs feed on insects in a certain pond. But as the population of bullfrogs increases, individual bullfrogs compete for space and food. Thus competition exists among bullfrogs.</p>

<p>So we just wait and see, what happen to Luis Enrique..</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><u><strong>The <i>real</i> Nash Equilibrium</strong></u></p>
<p>If you liked the biopic &#8220;A Beautiful Mind&#8221;<a href="/variagat/beaumind.htm?equilib" target="_blank"> </a>because you cared for American mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr.&#8217;s  achievements and character, you might want to know how his theory of  equilibrium really works and what it means.  If so, you&#8217;re correct in coming  here because the movie did what movies do, commercialized it, sexed it up  and got it wrong.</p>
<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean they shouldn&#8217;t have simplified it.  Simplifying a theory is  not only good, but it&#8217;s ability to be simplified is a mark of elegance and,  often, applicability to the real world (though not always).  With those  thoughts in mind, let&#8217;s see what the theory posits.</p>
<p>The Nash Equilibrium shows how selfish competitors should act in relation to  those whom they compete against.  It deals with individual needs and desires  in a group context and must take into account likely human behavior.</p>
<p>Jean-Jacques Rousseau, a Swiss political philosopher, suggested a situation  in his 1755 &#8220;Discourse on Inequality&#8221; that has led to something called the  <i>Deer Game</i>.  In it, four starving people are in the forest where they  might catch a rabbit or a deer.  A deer is the better catch but one may be  caught only if the four work together.</p>
<p>If three go out and catch rabbits, the chance for a deer to be caught is  lost.  The fourth must forget venison and content himself with rabbit.  This  is a Nash Equilibrium because each person does his selfish best given what  the others do and because no one has an incentive to switch hunting  strategies.  Thus, order arises from competitive struggle.</p>
<p>In a slightly altered scenario, three of the group want to catch a deer.  The  fourth must decide if he wants to just catch his rabbit and spoil the dreams  of venison for the others or join them in the hunt for the deer and  participate in the feast that will follow.  It&#8217;s in the fourth&#8217;s selfish  interest, then, to join the others in the hunt for the deer.  This is also a  Nash Equilibrium because each person pursues his own interest and does the  best he can.</p>
<p>Now let&#8217;s see how the movie gets it backward.  In this poorly contrived scene  there are four men in a bar, including Nash (Crowe).  A fairly flashy blond walks in  with four brunet companions, an event immediately noticed by the aroused male  quartet. Nash suggests at this point (after some wild and  meaningless scribbling) that it would be in their combined interest for the  four of them to go after the brunets on the supposition that they&#8217;d all at  least get a woman.  But it&#8217;s not simply &#8220;a woman&#8221; that each man wants.  They  all want the blond and, because she can&#8217;t be shared in the way that the deer  can be, they would each want to trade their brunet <strong><i>for</i></strong> the blond.  This is a  complete misstatement of Nash&#8217;s Equilibrium.  No group equilibrium is  attainable without resolution or satisfaction, clearly missing in the  situation.</p>
<p>The film&#8217;s logic would say that children will pick up only the pennies on a  sidewalk and not the hundred dollar bill lying next to them because they  can&#8217;t all have the bill.  All sorts of motivations suggest otherwise, like  normal human greed, acquisitiveness, need, security, etc.</p>
<p>If the century note, on the other hand were at a height roughly equal to the combined  height of the children if they formed a human ladder, they would then be acting in their own selfish interest, with the prior agreement, of course to split the $100. Each child then walks away  with $25 &#8212; a far better outcome than a penny, and an equilibrium attained.   Another victory for Nash&#8217;s theory.</p>
<p>Why would director Ron Howard and his screenwriter, Akiva Goldsman, get it so  wrong?  Could it be that they didn&#8217;t understand it and, if so, why wouldn&#8217;t  they have studied it closer?  Could this be their belief that most people wouldn&#8217;t care or notice a misrepresentation for the  sake of a little spice to boost the commercial prospects? Was it marketing potentials that lead them to choose a blond over a deer? They&#8217;re not alone. Other directors/writers/studios have done as  much and it&#8217;s always an insult to the intelligence of the audience.</p>
<p>I hope this little run-through of so fascinating a subject will serve to correct the error of their ways, but let&#8217;s be real and not expect too much from an expos&eacute; of commercial motivations. Still, we urge filmmakers to  be more careful with their material and more respectful of their audiences.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><p>Along with final exams and college entrance tests, many high school students are facing additional standardized testing with their Advanced Placement courses.&nbsp; These courses enable high school students to take introductory college level courses as part of their high school curriculum.&nbsp; AP courses entail additional reading, in depth analysis, and involve more course material at a higher level than high school honors courses.&nbsp; In May of each year, students nationwide take AP Examinations to prove their mastery of the subjects they have studied.&nbsp; Yet, with the amount preparation that students must execute for college entrance, do they really need to take another round of tests?</p>
<p>By better understanding college admission criteria, a student can realize how Advanced Placement courses are regarded when they are in a pool of applicants being considered for admission. Mr. Scott Atherton, Assistant Director of Admissions at Middlebury College in Vermont gives an important insight.&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;We look favorably upon students taking AP or other such courses offered by their school.&nbsp; Middlebury, like many colleges and universities in the U.S. evaluates a candidate for admission using many criteria, one being degree of difficulty of curriculum. We like to see that a student has challenged himself or herself by taking some of the more challenging courses the school has to offer. In some cases, that may be AP or IB courses. Some schools do not offer AP courses, and of course we would not hold that against a student; we evaluate a&nbsp;candidate&#8217;s strength of curriculum in the context of that student&#8217;s school&#8217;s offerings.&rdquo;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Along with AP courses, Mr. Atherton acknowledges in his statement the IB or International Baccalaureate courses as advanced high school curriculum.&nbsp; While some high schools offer college level coursework with AP classes, other high schools offer college level coursework using the IB curriculum. They are equally considered as advanced opportunities for high school students.&nbsp;</p>
<p>If AP or IB courses are available in your high school, a college may expect you to accept the challenge to prove that you are academically motivated and ready for a competitive environment.&nbsp; Taking these courses show that you care to put in the extra work, do the extra reading and prepare for the examination.&nbsp;&nbsp; This spring, I took my first AP examination as a sophomore in Ancient European History.&nbsp; Although the preparation was enormous, I believe that I gained organizational habits and test skills that will follow me into my college career.&nbsp; No teenager is a fan of standardized tests.&nbsp; But, because students are applying to college come from different schools all over the country, AP courses are another way for colleges to measure a student&rsquo;s curriculum objectives and their eagerness to succeed in high level courses.</p></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In this 21st century world, where man has no time for himself, no time for his mates, no time for relations, it is really tough to live a cheerful life. Or what should be said as a tension free life. The only thing man is running after is money, bank balance and more and more profit. This makes a person dull and insensitive to the surroundings. What a person lives for, and what he achieves, just goes out of importance. To live a tension free, easy and soothing life, many points have to be kept in mind.</p>
<p>If a person works more than 15 hours a day, he won&rsquo;t have any time for his wife, his friends, nor himself. So it should be kept in mind that he should utilize his time wisely. And by the world wisely, it is meant to be really wisely. If your boss pressurizes you for overtime, you should handle the situation as parts of work schedules to be arranged in sections in different days or weeks, so that you can take out time for your friends and family.</p>
<p>A person has much more to do than only work. Loving his wife, playing and cheering his son and daughters, gossiping with friends, going for a tour with close ones, it makes a person relaxed. His mind feels free, and he can forget the burden of the outer world. Only a thing, if you do everyday makes your life dull and boring. It finally results in hypertension and high pressure. So to avoid all this, a routine of work schedules should be made. And according to that, the work environment must be followed.</p>
<p>Relationships are very much important for a person in his life. A wife whom you can rely and trust, soothes you when you come home. Your children cheers your mood up, your parents make you confident and does not make you feel alone, your brother and sister acts like friends to you and you can share all your problems with them. All these things you cannot share to your boss or colleagues, because there is a competition going on between you, your colleagues and with time. So, always get time for your personal life.</p>
<p>Your boss is also a human; make him feel also that professional life and personal life, both are different. But that in a polite way. Request him to make shifts in work so that you can live a life like life of a free person, and not like a machine. He will definitely understand. A life full of happiness, is a life really to live, even if it wants some of your time to yourself and your close ones.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[An ideal is an idea grasped firmly in the mind raised to a standard of perfection, superiority, or excellence. I have ideals  that I look up to for guidance, but I am realistic about my goals. How about you?]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Idealism stands on a higher level than reality. It is not necessary that I have to achieve what is ideal, but I use my idealism as a yardstick to evaluate or assess what I should be or could be.  I know that this is not a safe journey to undertake, because when idealists fall short of the ideal, they become frustrated, something that is destructive to self-esteem. So, the basic requirement is: Whatever I am, I have to be a good one; or, I will try my best to be the best of what I am. The largest room in the world is the room for self-improvement. The competition is with myself only.  If I had tried my best, why should I regret in the end? I am not God. I have my limitations, so I have to be realistic about what I can do.</strong></p>
<p><strong><br /></strong> <strong><strong>Afraid to fail?  All serious daring begins from within yourself. Remember that when the night is dark you can see the stars.</strong></strong></p>
<p><strong><br /></strong> <strong><strong>So, you want to change the world?  Fine! But how can you do that if you yourself have not changed yourself for the better?  In our search for the ideal, we climb the ladder of perfection, and how many times have we fallen back?  God does not care about reputation.  He looks at your scars, your character, because to Him reputation is nothing; character is everything.</strong></strong></p>
<p><strong><br /></strong><strong><strong>Your self-concept may not reflect reality.  Even if, for example, your family considers you to be a success, you still think that you have not done enough to measure to their expectations. When this happens it is important that you have the moral support of your family and friends to assure and re-assure you that you have done exceedingly well. You are not an island. The more recognition and assurance you get from them, the more you achieve agreement between your  self-concept  versus idealism.  Rejection  would  spell confusion  and frustration.</strong></strong></p>
<p><strong><br /></strong><strong><strong>In other words, learn to accept yourself and to face challenges. The  greatest delight  in life is to try to do what people say you cannot do. Success is never illusory. Use your brain.  ###&nbsp;</strong></strong></p>

<p>Everywhere in the world there are rules that make it possible for people to do the thousands of different things that are part of everyday living. Without such rules, it would be impossible to get things done. Everyone would be in a state of confusion. Two people could not even play a simple game of checkers if each one followed a different set of rules. Driving from one place to another would be very dangerous if all drivers made up their own rules of the road.</p>
<p>Most of these rules for everyday living are not found in books. Many are not written down at all. But everyone knows what they are. They are the things that help us understand what other people may expect from us and what we may expect from others.</p>
<p>These unwritten rules are part of what we call culture. A culture is the total way of life created by a group of people. It includes things, ideas, behavior, and speech.</p>
<p>There following are some of the examples of the different kinds of behavior that people expect of each other. You will see how a culture&#8217;s unwritten rules protect people from confusion and harm.</p>
<p><strong>Expected Behavior</strong></p>
<p>Have you ever seen an angry baby? Then you know how it behaves. All over the world, angry babies behave in much the same way. Their little hands clench into fists. Their faces wrinkle with temper. Then they take a big breath and yell. They want what they want when they want it. They have no other way to say so. But such behavior is only for infants. Part of growing up is discovering that one cannot always do as one pleases. After all, the world could not work if everyone went about acting like angry babies. People must learn to control their behavior. This is why every culture has rules that define how people are expected to behave. A culture&#8217;s unwritten rules of behavior are called its norms.</p>
<p>Children begin learning the norms of their culture when they are still quite small. They learn by being told and by watching others. As they grow older, they get into the habit of behaving in the expected ways. They learn to do this almost without thinking about it. They are startled if they see someone else go against the norms they have learned.</p>
<p><strong>Being Polite: A norm we expect from each other</strong></p>
<p>Many norms develop in an effort to make life easier and more pleasant. For example, one doesn&#8217;t start talking when someone else is speaking. That would be impolite. Being polite is something we expect of each other. We have learned that politeness makes everyday living much more pleasant.</p>
<p><strong>Setting Up Our day</strong></p>
<p>Some norms deal with how our days are set up. Many people in the world work from nine to five, with an hour off at noontime. But in countries with very hot climates, people may go home for four hours in the middle of the day. This is a time to rest. They return to work later, in the early evening, when the heat of the day passed.</p>
<p><strong>Norms and People</strong></p>
<p>Norms can tell you where people are from. In European countries, Americans stand out because of their table manners. As they cut their food and eat it, Americans shift the fork from one hand to the other. People in Europe keep the fork in the same hand when they eat. But always keeping one&#8217;s fork in the in the same hand is considered bad manners in the United States.</p>
<p>To say goodbye, you are used to putting up one hand with the palm facing out, and then waving it. But if you did this in a country like Turkey, people would think you meant &#8220;Come Hear!&#8221;. The norm in Turkey is different.</p>
<p><strong>Norms in Different Members of a Culture</strong></p>
<p>Norms are often different for the different members of a culture. In an American culture, for example, teenagers are expected to carry packages and hold doors open for their grandparents. Parents are expected to give their children comfort and advice whenever necessary.</p>
<p><strong>Norms that changes our behavior</strong></p>
<p>Sometimes, norms of behavior change. During the period of change, people may feel uncertain and confused. After World War II, the country of Japan experienced many big changes. The norm of behavior in this new and changing Japan was for people to act according to their own consciences, to their own sense of right and wrong. In 1950 a young village woman discovered that a local official had cheated in counting election votes. Acting as her conscience told her, she reported this to the police. The official was tried, found guilty, and put in jail.</p>
<p>People in the cities thought she had done the right thing. City newspapers praised her. But the people of her village refused to speak to her. Why? They believed that no one should be shames in public. This belief had long been a norm of Japanese culture. It was much older than the new norm of following one&#8217;s conscience. The villagers believed that the woman had shamed the official. They felt that she had brought shame to the whole village and everyone in it.</p>
<p><strong>Changes in norms amongst women</strong></p>
<p>Before World War II, young women in the United States were expected to grow up, marry, and have children. They were supposed to become good housewives and mothers. But after the war, expectations have changes. More and more women left home when they finished school. They went to big cities and took jobs. Many did not marry. Often, those who did marry still kept their jobs. Today there is a new norm that a woman can have a business life as well as a life as wife and mother.</p>
<p>The new norm is that woman may choose. But during the time that the norm was changing, there were problems. Young women who left their hometowns to take jobs were likely to be severely criticized by people who knew them. They were going against what had long been expected of young women in their country.</p>
<p><strong>Learning Expected Behavior</strong></p>
<p>As we learn the behavior that is expected of us, we are learning the social values of our culture. A culture&#8217;s social values are all the ways of thinking and acting that the people consider important.</p>
<p>In some cultures, it is important to try always to win or gain things that many people want. We would say that such cultures value competition. In Japanese schools, for example, students compete very hard for the highest marks.</p>
<p>Among certain Indian groups in the United States, it is considered wrong to try to do better than others. Some who wins too often at a game might not be asked to play again.</p>
<p><strong>Learning the Social Values of our Culture</strong></p>
<p>How do children learn the norms and social values of their culture? In most cultures, children begin learning from their parents. In many cultures, the learning goes on with grandparents, older brothers and sisters, and other family members as teachers.</p>
<p>But learning to follow the norms and accept the social values of a culture does not stop when a child steps out the front door. In fact, much learning takes place away from home. In most countries, schoolteachers play important part in helping children learn how to get along in their culture. They also learn from friends, neighbors, and religious teachings. They learn great deal from the mass media. As adults, most of us learn about our culture in our places of work and from the new social groups we join. For most people, learning continues all thorough life.</p>
<p><strong>Learning Norms by Observation</strong></p>
<p>One important way to learn is by observation. This is the act of seeing and noticing. A child watches what older people do and then tries to do the same. If a Quechua girl sees her mother and older sister spinning wool, she may also want to try. Just by watching, she begins to learn how to do the job. How to keep the wool from getting tangled.</p>
<p><strong>Learning Norms by Instruction</strong></p>
<p>Another way to learn is by instruction. This is being told or shown what to do and how to go about it. It is instruction when your math teacher shows you how to work new kind of problem. Your mother is instructing you when she shows you how to write a thank-you note for an enexpected birthday present that arrived in the mail.</p>
<p>Short stories also teach the social values of a culture. One story told, &#8220;The Boy Who Cried Wolf!,&#8221; has been retold for centuries. The story is about a little boy who likes to shout &#8220;Wolf! Wolf!&#8221;. Each time he shouts these words, other people come running to save him. But there never is a wolf. The little boys is just playing a game. Then one day when he is alone, a real wolf comes along. The little boy is truly afraid. &#8220;Wolf! Wolf! He shouts. But nobody comes to save him. You may already know what social value this story told us.</p>
<p><strong>Encouraging others to keep the norms followed</strong></p>
<p>All people everywhere have ways to encourage others to keep following the culture&#8217;s norms and respecting its social values. Hugs, kisses, smiles, and kind words let people know that we like what they are doing. Such things are called rewards. They are like presents given for doing right.</p>
<p><strong>Norms and Rejection</strong></p>
<p>But what happens when we notice someone doing something wrong? We do not smile or say kind words. We may frown or speak harshly. These are forms of punishment. A child who does not play fairly with other children may be punished by rejection, by being sent or kept away from the group. Adults who break certain traffic laws may be given a fine, a sum of money they have to pay as a punishment. People found guilty of such serious crimes as robbery may be punished by being sent to prison.</p>
<p>Most people usually follow the expected ways of their culture. It is only a small number who break the most important rules. This is why most groups, most of the time, work much as they supposed to.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Conflict is a very common and an inevitable episode of one's life. What matters is how well are we able to come out of the conflict in a healthy manner without hurting the ego of the other party involved. Here are some tips for effective conflict management.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Out of all the news and the information we read in the newspaper and get from our neighbors in a day, most of them are based on one or the other conflict between individuals or groups that took place in the country or in the neighborhood. Conflict simply means disagreement, but it is not as simple as it seems. An unresolved conflict can even lead to a war between two countries or violence between two people or groups. When two people have disagreement on the same issue, clashes take place. Conflict is inevitable. As long as there have been people, there have been conflicts.</p>
<p>Each one of us is different. All of us cannot have similar view point on every issue.&nbsp;Therefore, whenever&nbsp;the views on a certain issue clash, conflict takes place between the involved parties. There can be only two consequence of any disagreement- either it will get worse or it will get solved. A learned person is the one who comes out of the conflict or resolves the conflict neither by giving in or by giving up. This situation is called a Win-Win situation in a conflict resolution.&nbsp; That is when both the parties who are involved in a conflict find a middle way so that none of the egos are hurt and the disagreement is solved without any party winning or losing.</p>
<p>In 1976, Thomas Kilman suggested 5 different ways of resolving a conflict:</p>
<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Accommodation:</strong> Accommodation is when one of the parties involved in the conflict withdraws from the argument surrendering in front of the other party. It is to acclimatize to the wishes of the other party involved i.e quietly agreeing to what the other party wishes by sacrificing one&rsquo;s own wish. If possible, accommodation is the best and the simplest way to resolve any conflict and should be utilized frequently.</p>
<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Avoidance:</strong> As the name explains, Avoidance means avoiding or postponing the conflict. It is not a permanent measure to resolve the conflict. It involves restraining oneself from getting into the argument by the ways like:</p>
<p>a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Changing the subject of the conflict</p>
<p>b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Restraining oneself from discussing the differences</p>
<p>c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Postponing the discussion</p>
<p>d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Just smiling on countering the issue</p>
<p>e.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Withholding ones feelings to refrain from getting into an argument</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Collaboration:</strong> Collaboration strategy is for the satisfaction of both the parties involved. The goal is to achieve a win-win situation. It is when both the parties agree to work a way out so that none of the parties are at loss and the mutual agreement is achieved. Ability to listen and understand other parties concern is a very major pre-requisite if the parties want to resolve the conflict through collaboration.</p>
<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Compromise:</strong> Compromise calls for partial rather than a complete satisfaction of both the parties. It involves a give and take agreement where the parties involved find a middle way of reaching the solution to an argument by giving up something for getting something i.e. by doing compromise.</p>
<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Competition:</strong> It is entirely a win-lose situation where one party wins and one looses. Competition is when the parties involved in the conflict wants to win at any cost, neglecting the wishes and feelings of other party. Competition should be the last resort in conflict resolution when no other strategy works out. It is detrimental for the healthy relationships between the two parties even in future.</p>
<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Conflict is a normal part of life. The skill worth learning should be how to refrain our self from getting into a conflict or how to resolve the conflict in a win- win situation, if by any chance we came across conflict. For a win-win situation to take place, listening ability is really important. It is very much obvious that none of the parties involved in a conflict will ever like to understand the other party&rsquo;s viewpoint. Therefore a learned man is the one who stops talking and starts listening when a conflict arises. Competition strategy in conflict is never a healthy resort. One should try to resolve it with accommodation, compromise or collaboration for the healthy relationship of the parties involved. Some points to be taken into consideration for resolving a conflict in a win-win situation are:</p>
<p>a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Getting into the root of the argument and making sure if the issue is worth fighting.</p>
<p>b.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Listen more fight less. Sometimes listening and understanding the facts by one party helps in resolving the conflict escaping long never-ending arguments.</p>
<p>c.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Always try to find a middle path for resolving the conflict instead of directly jumping into competition with each other.</p>
<p>d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Don&rsquo;t call large crowd of people to assist you in your conflict resolution rather sort it out using your own conflict resolution skills. Third party interference for decision making is fine as long as it is resolving the conflict in a healthy manner.</p>
<p>e.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prioritize what is more important: the issue or the relationship with the other party, and then get into a serious argument. The consequences of the conflict can ruin your relationship forever with the other party involved.</p>
<p>f.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Never choose violence as an alternative.</p>
<p>g.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Take the help of a counselor, if required.</p>

<p>Conflict resolution is easy if we try to come across the solution through which both the parties are satisfied. One should know that getting into arguments with each other is a never- ending and a destructive exercise. Rather we should always try to find a solution from which we can constructively come out of the conflict, maintaining healthy relationships with the other person or group.</p>
