Break dancing, as known as B boying is a style of dancing that grew up around hip hop music during its early stages of development in the United States. It is a really challenging dance that tests your physical abilities. I had this passion for breakdance since I was eleven. When I was young, I watched a movie about superheroes and marveled at how they could do somersaults and stunts in the air. I thought they were cool and was inspired to be just like them. As I grew older, I realized that there was a type of dance –break dance that had many “stunts” in the routine too, like handstands, windmills, flares and it was pretty cool. So, I decided to take up break dancing.

At first, I was discouraged by my older brother, who disapproved of it. He explained that break dancing was only for guys. Frankly speaking, all of the break dance videos I found on YouTube were of guys dancing. Maybe there were a few videos of girls breakdancing out there but they are pretty rare. I searched up some break dance tutorials on YouTube as the break dance lessons conducted by professionals were too expensive. My parents wouldn’t allow me to attend them anyway. Therefore, I tried doing hand stands against walls and practiced almost every day. (I recently started doing so there wasn’t much progress) It was tough at first (I guess my arms were too weak) and I finally understood why my brother said that break dance was only for guys. Maybe it was because of the fact that they were naturally stronger than girls.  However, despite this, I’m not giving up. I know that one day, I would eventually succeed.

If you are interested about learning break dance and is a beginner like me, I would recommend you some techniques to try out:

Your starting position should be something like that.

2)      2) Float

There many different types of floats such as spinning and straight arm floats.

3)     3) The worm

A move in which a dancer lies on the ground and forms a rippling motion through his body, just like a worm moving.

There are people that don’t do any thing like that.

As many of you know, swag comes from the word swagger. In the late 15th Centruy, explorer Marco Polo wrote “… their structures and buildings were built with swagger, and were remarkable …” This old term basically meant class. You had nice clothes, nice house, nice items. You had swagger man! Then came along the word swag. Swag pretty much means the same thing. You have swag. You have nice clothes, nice items. So swag is just swaggers little brother, used today in society allmost everywhere.

But how does one have it? Ralph Lauren Polo recently released a commercial in December of 2011 saying “Raplph Lauren is swag.” This is true. Expensive and nice clothes are often labled with the word. Jordan Shoes, Polo shirts, Levi Jeans and other high class brands are what we call swag. And in order to have swag.. well, I guess you need nice things. Funny world where we have to have nice things in order to be cool instead of a nice personality, isn’t it?

 Cool down. Getting too emotional means you are opening another chance for them to criticize you. Everybody has got the right to share their opinion, even though their opinions might upset you.

 Open your mind. You might think what they have said is wrong, but they think the otherwise around. People have different angle in viewing so many thing in life. Try to understand their point of view before giving any appropriate respond.

 Never take it too personal. Taking things too personal is equal to torturing yourself. So, let it go and see how things flow.

 Asking why and how. Ask for more information on the thing being criticized. Use the information to do some reality check or finding new solutions.

 Be quiet. Replying criticism with another criticism might spark unnecessary debate. So, be quiet when there were no better things to say.

 Second opinion might be needed. Ask for a fair opinion from others. That way you can be sure whether the criticism is right or wrong.

 Get used to it. Life is a long journey and you’ll never know when you’ve got to deal with another criticism. So, once you’ve managed to deal with a criticism in a calm and positive way, just keep it that way.

Rhode Island legalized medical marijuana in 2006, but Massachusetts did not. “We wanted to pair these two states because they have so much in common culturally and geographically,” says Dr. Esther Choo, assistant professor of emergency medicine at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School and emergency medicine physician at Rhode Island Hospital.

Choo’s analysis used data collected from 1997 to 2009 for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s annual Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The analysis involved nearly 13,000 youth in Rhode Island and about 25,000 in Massachusetts. In each state in any given year, the study found, about 30% of youth reported using marijuana at least once in the previous month.

In other words, while marijuana use was common, there was no significant difference in rates of pot use between the years before and after legalization in Rhode Island. “We found no effect of the policy change,” says Choo.

These results are consistent with a 2005 analysis conducted by Mitch Earleywine, associate professor of psychology at the State University of New York–Albany, for the Marijuana Policy Project. He found that between 1996 — when California passed its medical marijuana law — and 2004, previous-month pot use by ninth graders declined by 47%. That was a slightly steeper decline than seen nationally during the same period, and Earleywine found a similar effect in all of the medical marijuana states he studied.

Of the new study, Earleywine says, it is “very careful about potential covariates and looks closely at a couple of states across time in a way that my work didn’t.” He adds: “Of course, I’m delighted to see that their work confirms my previous report that medical marijuana laws do not increase teen use.”

Although legalizing medical marijuana may increase access for some, Choo notes that it is typically a very small population who uses marijuana for therapy — and these aren’t people whom teens are likely to emulate. “Whether they are taking it for pain or for vomiting control or appetite, this is not a group we think of as superinspiring for young people to take up their drug pattern. It’s an older population who is generally very ill,” says Choo.

It’s important to note that neither Choo’s nor Earleywine’s analyses have been subjected to peer review. Choo’s work was presented on Wednesday at the American Public Health Association’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. She is planning to do further analysis, including data from additional states, for future publication.

But both studies are consistent with state and international data showing similar trends. Research has found that rates of youth drug use don’t correlate with marijuana arrests or, at the other end of the spectrum, total decriminalization of marijuana possession.

Could it be possible that associating pot with uncool old people and making it legitimate, rather than rebellious, actually deters use by youth?

John felt the song was telling John it’s okay just leave me your brother from the start. I don’t mind, since you found her go and get her. First off, the name isn’t quite exciting… I mean, surely theres more names you could call ‘The first earth like planet to be found in the universe’! Rather than a robotic name of Kepler-22b. 

Question: What would you call a planet you had just discovered? Think.

I’ve always wondered if there’s life out there, in the universe. This is possibly the closest step man has come to finding out such information whether life is actually out there in this wide universe. Although the chances are all we can do is look at it through a telescope rather than actually visiting it seems the case as the planet is over 600 light years away! 

Despite this, if we ever do manage to find a way to time travel then the planet does have a lot of liquid water for survival and its also 2x bigger than the actual earth you are reading this article on (which should be enough room to live on!). We would have 290 days in a year though, because thats how long it takes to orbit the sun, and the temperatures are a nice and warm 22°C. 

I doubt we’re ever going to get on this planet, if ever we find and get transported to any. One thing I do know, is that eventually we’re going to burn due to global warming or before that the Sun will die out in thousands of years and we’ll all freeze to death.

The plot of this surely epic to be movie follows much the same lines as a novel and play called The Lottery. In this book, an individual was picked out at random in a lottery-like fashion – hence the name of the book. This was a sombre world too in which absolute authority was the order of the day and disobedience was not tolerated at any level.

The scene is set on the Continental North America. Civilisation in Canada and the United States of America seems to have broken down and destroyed itself in a manner not totally unlike the fall of the Roman Empire. In fact this much-speculated and commented on period of history seems to have been a massive influence on this film. It has been said that a great civilisation cannot be destroyed from the outside until it has destroyed itself from within.

The North American Continent is in ruins. Society that was so taken for granted has been reduced to a shadow of its former self. The demise of this once great nation has not been entirely anthropogenic, however. Nature in all Her might and ruthlessness has lent Mankind a helping hand. Widespread famines and systematic droughts have taken its toll on the helpless inhabitants. A new state rises from the old, like a Phoenix from the flames. They call it Panem. This new country is broken down into a central power called the Capitol and twelve subordinate districts.

An alliance of the twelve districts fought a futile and unsuccessful war campaign against the Capitol. Defeat caused them to submit to a humiliating and bizarre truce condition. It is required by the Capitol that one boy and one girl must be delivered to the Capitol to take part in The Hunger Games once a year. These Hunger Games can be summed up at its simplest as a fight to the death. A sacrifice they considered worth paying in return for peace. The outcome of the fatal competition that awaits each of the competitors is more of a certainty than the environment of the battlefield or the conditions of engagement. Even the audience have a part to play in some circumstances. The event is broadcast on television and it is a universal requirement that all citizens across the land must watch it.

In one of the most deprived areas of Panem, a sixteen-year-old girl, Katniss, lives with her mother and her younger sister. One day her younger sister receives an order to report to the Capitol to participate in the ultimate event. Katniss makes the decision to save her sibling from such an uncertain fate and takes her place instead at the games.
