Christophobia is running high in Muslim countries. Draconian blasphemy laws cause Christians to live in perpetual fear, and with good reason. Anything that contradicts the Muslim theological doctrine is considered blasphemy and gives intolerant Muslims the right to bully and kill the religious minorities. In Saudi Arabia churches and private prayer are banned. Religious police regularly raid the homes of Christians and bring them up on charges of blasphemy in a court where their testimony carries no weight.

Why isn’t the media speaking out against the killing of Christians in Muslim majority nations? The violation of Christians stretch from West Africa and the Middle East to South Asia and Oceania. In some countries it’s the government and their agents that have burned churches, kidnapped children and imprisoned and killed Christians. It’s a rising genocide that should provoke all nations. Why isn’t anyone speaking out against it? The most likely reason is lobbyists groups such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. These groups have been surprisingly effective in persuading journalists in the West that it’s anti Muslim discrimination called, “Islamophobia.

Since 2003 more than 900 Iraqi Christians have been killed by terrorists in Baghdad alone, and 70 churches have been burned. Thousands of Iraqi Christians have left because of the violence directed at them. Christian population dropped from over a million in 2003 to less than half a million today. The conspiracy of silence surrounding the violence and religious intolerance should be stopped. Christianity and the freedom of all religions is at stake,

In Nigeria many Christians are suffering persecution. An organization that calls itself “Boko Haram” which means, Western Education is sacrilege. It’s aim is to kill all the Christians in the country. In January alone, Boko Haram caused 54 deaths. In 2011 it was responsible for 510 deaths and burned down more than 350 churches. They use bombs, machetes, gasoline and guns, shouting “Allahu akbar” which means, God is great, while attacking unsuspecting citizen Christians. Reports from the United Nations indicate that between 53,000 and 75,000 innocents have been displaced and their property confiscated or destroyed.

In Pakistan Christians are a small minority, yet they live in constant terror of blasphemy laws. A Christian woman was sentenced to death for allegedly insulting the prophet Muhammad. When pressure was put on the Governor Salman Taseer to explore a way to free her, he was killed by his body guard. The body guard was celebrated as a hero by the Muslim clerics. When Christian groups break the blasphemy law, the consequence can be horrific.

Attacks are also ongoing against Christians in the Sudan,Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia. It’s an anti Christian expression by Muslims that transcends all cultures, ethnicities and regions. Christians have lost the protection of their own societies. Vigilantes feel they can act with sanctions from their government and they are right. The idea that non Muslims deserve protection has all but vanished from the Islamic world.

A good solution would be to take the billions of dollars going to the offending nations and use it to do something about the crimes against Christians. In America and Europe we go all out to protect Muslim minorities from intolerance and ensure they can worship and work freely without fear. And justifiably so. But Muslims nations should be required to do the same with Christians. Conditions could be put on trade, investment and aid with Muslim countries to insure religious freedom for all citizens.

What if someone stole your money out of your bank account and you found out who it was? What would you do if it was your spouse, in-law, mother, father, cousin or uncle? Would you press charges and want them to pay for what they've done?

Having someone steal your money out of your account is just shameful. What would be the ultimate kicker? If you investigated it and found out who it was, what would be your reaction? Screaming to the top of your lungs sound good or perhaps slapping them would be sufficient. What is the best way to handle such a delicate situation? would you stop speaking to them or would you want them arrested? It’s a tough one I know. Just say that it’s your mother in-law would you let your husband deal with it or would you have her arrested? You may spend endless nights worrying about the case.

It’s a hard pill to swallow when its someone you know. You may feel deep anger and want to just knock them down but you can’t. They may give you the same old lie( I didn’t do this) and blame it on someone else. What if they laughed at you when you told them that you knew? It is tough and it may cause some tension with your relationship. You may get angry with your spouse because he won’t help you. You may think that everyone is devious. It is training and shows you that people are capable of things that you would never do. What gets me are the big fat lies that they tell to over one another. I just can’t stand a thief.

Yes, it is possible that you could be sleeping with a criminal or have one in your home.It is upseting and you may just want to run down the street and scream. That’s how I feel right now. What if they tried something new each time to upset you? Would you try to get pay back or would you just let it go? Perhaps they need help and want you to help them. It is unsettling to say the least. What would you do?

Private Security can gain power and use it against individuals along with other public officials.

What is Color of Law?

What color of law is, and who, what, when, where and why of this act. The goal is to tie in private security and how they can commit a crime that is under the color of law.

— An act performed by different public officials and in some cases legal private corporations or businesses.

— Willfully to deprive another individual of any rights under the constitution or any laws.

— Any individual doing this act under a power given to them.

The color of law will include not only public officials but also private security guards when given a power to exercise judgment and use this power to deprive an individual for any reason of their rights under the constitution or any other laws. The Color of Law is an act performed based on legal rights or the enforcement of statute.

Public Officials of Color of Law

— President

— Supreme Court Justice

— Law enforcement

— Mayor

— Governor

— Prosecutors

— Judges

— Private Security Guards

— Color of law is an unlawful act against another individual by public officials such as the president, Supreme Court justice, law enforcement, a mayor, a governor, prosecutors, judges, and even in some instances private security guards. Each of these officials and more are given a power by the government or a non-government corporation and abused their power.

Tests for Private Parties

— The Nexus Test

— The Symbiotic Relation Test

— The joint action test

— The traditional Public Powers test

Broad Crimes

— Excessive force

— Sexual assaults

— False arrest

— Fabrication of evidence

— Deprivation of property

— Failure to keep from harm

The Color of law is an act that can include deprivation against other persons. There are even tests for private parities that are not considered as public officials but still legal officials under government or corporations control given a power over the rest of society. Some of the broad crimes discussed under the color of law are excessive force, sexual assaults, false arrest, fabrication of evidence, deprivation of property, and failure to keep from harm, each of these crimes fall under the act of color of law.

There was a time that law enforcement operated without many of the assets they employ today. There were times that criminals were pursued by simple instinct, informants, conversations overheard and the expending of a lot of shoe leather. Many times, just as today, the police were baffled.

Crime fighting in many respects is an art. It can be quantified easily with crime and arrest statistics, something done annually on a national basis by the FBI, but by the same token it remains an art where some investigators tend to be more successful than others.

Just a few of the high profile cases that had baffled crime investigators over the last few centuries were the Ratcliffe Highway Murders in early 1800’s London, the Whitechapel Murders (Jack the Ripper) of the 1880’s London England and The Mad Bomber Case which continued for some sixteen years in New York City during the 1940’s and 50’s.These were crimes that tried some of the best minds in law enforcement, yet lacking credible eyewitnesses and important incriminating evidence not to mention today’s modern DNA profiles, solving the crime proved to be either extremely time consuming or simply impossible.

Psychology and Crime Investigations

It would be fair to say that prior to the 1950’s the science of psychology and the art of crime fighting were two separate vocations with absolutely nothing in common. You could also say there was a degree of animosity in as much as the police felt that crimes got solved by good old fashioned investigations. One case however was considered the pivotal event that blended together the art of crime fighting and the science of psychology.

A series of bombings that transpired in New York City starting in 1942 and lasting until 1956 had the New York City Police Department at a dead end. Small pipe bombs were placed in a variety of locations. The Paramount Theaters both in Manhatten and in Brooklyn, the Grand Central terminal the New York Public Library in Manhatten, Radio City Music Hall, the Consolidated Edison Company headquarters also in Manhatten were some of the sites chosen by the bomber who was eventually referred to by the press and the NYPD as “The Mad Bomber”.

The NYPD was obviously under a lot of pressure to solve this case. The fact that so many years went by without a solid lead in the case made the pressure grow even more. What the police had in their possession after years of investigating were many fragments of the bomb, in some cases, unexploded bombs that were disassembled and a series of letters from the bomber which made mention of the “dastardly deeds” committed by Consolidated Edison. One might suppose that a careful study of who had a grudge against Con-Ed might unmask the bomber, but in reality, many people had grudges against major utility companies for a wide variety of reasons, real and imaginary.

Finally, In 1956, the NYPD investigators asked psychiatrist James Brussel, New York State’s assistant commissioner of mental hygiene, to study crime scene photos and notes from the bomber. It came to the point that any help at all would be better than nothing. To be sure, there was a great deal of skepticism from seasoned investigators as to what value, if any, a psychiatrist could add. After carefully examining all evidence the police had collected over many years, Brussel came up with an amazing detailed description of the suspect: Brussel would suggest that the Mad Bomber would likely be unmarried, foreign, self-educated in electrical knowledge, most likely n his 50s, residing in Connecticut, quite paranoid with a grudge of some sort against Con Edison which was the recipient of the first bomb planted at their Manhatten headquarters. Brussel formed some of these observations from handwriting samples and phrases used in the bomber’s letters. As somewhat general as Brussel’s observation was, this was a first for law enforcement although the detectives present at this meeting were not overly impressed. History shows that there were attempts to determine a persons propensity toward criminal activity even as far back as the Roman times however the characteristics proffered were of a physical nature. Strong jaw, sloped forehead, certain eyes…all of these were studied and nothing of course was proven. James Brussel was the first to actually tie psychiatric elements such as paranoia and psychosis to the cause. Regardless of what some of the rank and file detectives thought, Brussel’s opinions gave the NYPD something to go on and at this point in the investigation it was more than they had otherwise. Brussel also suggested that the police make an attempt to communicate with the bomber. The psychiatrist was convinced that the bomber, through the letters he wrote to both the police and the press, wanted to communicate.

An Offer to Communicate

Up until this point the police had kept a lid on the bomber investigation. One reason was that they didn’t want to encourage copycats. Other reasons were that they didn’t want to panic the public and the fact that they weren’t making solid progress to date meant that higher profile press coverage only pointed out their shortcomings to the reading public. In spite of this, a pivotal decision was made to start communicating with the bomber and this was made in conjunction with and by the urging of the editor of William Randolph Hearst’s New York Journal-American newspaper.

When press coverage picked up there of course were many false tips phoned in. Disgruntled spouses might try to turn in their partner, neighbors might point to a fellow neighbor who in their mind might have been acting suspiciously, confessions from a variety of crackpots and so on. Everything of course had to be checked out and the time and money expended was considerable. There were even suspects who were jailed and placed in front of a judge. One such suspect had to be released after bombs were planted and letters received while he was in jail. This just points out how perplexed the NYPD was with the whole investigation.

After the Journal-American began writing stories publishing the profile given earlier by Dr. Brussel and also suggesting that the bomber communicate his specific grievances with them, letters began arriving. Since the police and papers already had samples of the bombers handwriting it was fairly easy to authenticate the letters received.

The Journal-American, through it’s newspaper classified section and in cooperation with the NYPD, started to communicate back and forth with the bomber. The paper and in reality the police, kept asking for more specifics from the bomber. When the bomber actually cited a specific date he was injured at Con-Ed and that the Workmen’s Compensation Board denied his case, everything of course started to fall in place. Again, although the utility company had plenty of people unhappy with it, specific dates certainly narrowed things down quite a bit. While the communication kept up the police were pressuring Con-Ed for more information from their old files.

The End of the Mad Bomber of New York

After a secretary for Con-Ed found an old file which matched to a tee the information given by the Mad Bomber himself via letters to the New York Journal-American, things came together for the struggling NYPD like never before. They found their suspect living in Waterbury Connecticut. In conjunction with Waterbury police investigators they determined that their man was still residing at the residence that was on file not only with Con-Ed but also with the Workmans Compensation Board from decades earlier.

After being satisfied that the man living at that address was indeed the same man from the Con-Ed files, a joint raid was planned to make an arrest. Interestingly enough, the raid went extremely smooth. In fact, a man named George Metesky answered his door in the middle of the night. After questioning, Metesky led the police to the garage workshop, where they found his lathe. While searching the house they found pipes and connectors for bombs hidden in the pantry and a wealth of other evidence. Metesky went quietly and without incident to the Waterbury police station for further interrogation.

Word spread to the press and the police station was overwhelmed with reporters from both local outlets and from national wire services. After many hours of interrogation in which the suspect confessed to the crime, the suspect waived extradition and was transported back to New York City for processing.

Much of the criminal profile given out by Dr. Brussel proved to be quite accurate. If someone giving a profile that’s perhaps 80% accurate with what evidence existed, that would be quite an accomplishment. This is about how well Brussel did with the first ever criminal profile given to a police department by a psychiatrist. During the time that this case came to an end, psychiatry was realizing a lot of change. Much was being learned and states were reevaluating their institutions which up until then were more of a place of detention as opposed to being a healing hospital. New methods of therapy were being developed and the licensing of care workers became more strict.

What Happened to George Metesky?

After a few years of court hearings and therapy, Metesky was declared insane. He was deemed not in a position to know the scope of his crimes nor help in his defense of the charge. What did happen was that George Metesky was sent to various mental institutions where he spent sixteen years in all. In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the state of New York could not keep an inmate in a correctional mental institution unless he was proved to be “presently” dangerous. Several doctors concluded that Metesky was harmless, and because he had already served two-thirds of the 25-year maximum sentence he would have received if he would have been convicted during a trial, he was released in December 1973. Metesky was released with the condition that he make regular visits to a Connecticut Department of Mental Hygiene location near his home. There’s much more to the story of George Metesky, his struggle against Consolidated Edison for compensation for his injury and his many court hearings. It’s an interesting story and there are a few good books out on the subject. All in all, Metesky planted some 32 pipe bombs. While there were some injuries involved, fortunately no one lost their life due to his crimes. It was a case where his overriding hatred for the wrongs he felt Con-Ed was responsible for turned into an obsession which drew him deeper and deeper into mental illness. George Metesky wanted attention drawn to his years old struggle with Con-Ed and in his twisted way of thinking the planting of relatively small bombs was a cry for attention. In his mind, there was justification for his ill deeds. George Metesky died in 1993 at the age of ninety. From about 1957 onward, police departments around the country started to use criminal profiling for their hard to solve cases. Today, the FBI has an entire section devoted to criminal profiling.

A drop of water makes ocean, sand turns into beaches and individual crime contributes towards massive violence in all.

The world is turning into what we can term as imbalance in ecosystem responding in increase of the violent activities. The demands of individuals are not suffice due to the lack of the resources.

To regulate all kinds of violence and criminal activities, it is our responsibilities not to get involve in any bad activities and harm the sentient beings. I, as an individual can contribute many things to the world in order to decrease those violent activities. Being an adult, one should not engage oneself in drinking, smoking, drug abusing, child trafficking, kidnapping, stealing, smuggling, raping, molesting, internet scamming, gang fighting, etc, which are all unacceptable by the society. One should as far as possible refrain from joining terrorist or carrying out the activities of terrorist. One should simple keep in mind that the pleasures of yours shouldn’t cause the pain to others.

In small ways we can contribute to the world in creating peace just by helping the poor with whatever resources that you have in your possession. Be kind and gentle to the poor and give respect to every individuals living in this world including the living animals. Convince your younger ones to stay away from bad peoples and advice them on the consequences of bad habits in their future. You as a living soul can even convince the elders not to indulge in any bad activities by sharing your feelings. Tell them how you feel sad to see them in such condition by indulging in such bad activities.

Let the world hear your voice. There are many websites where you can write your feelings on creating peaceful world by refraining from violence/illegal activities. Write poems, songs, essays, or articles and let the people of the world hear from you through radio, TV, internet and many other Medias. While you live your short life, be frank to everyone that you meet in your day to day life. Try not to influence your friends into any bad activities. Love the way you are and love the way you live. Be satisfied with what you are and how you are and what you have. Do not criticize others and do not discriminate one from others. Learn to appreciate the way you live and the way others live.

Smuggling of children in Haiti, war crimes (rape and murder in cold bloods) in Afghanistan, child trafficking in Africa, gang fights in US, misunderstanding between families of Korea, civil war in Thailand or Thai killing Thais, stealing properties from the victims of the volcano eruptions in many parts of world, Jamaica internal war, political misunderstanding between developed countries and many more are the tension that the world is currently suffering from. The big question is who is building those tensions? It’s us. It’s the people of this world only. Its non other than us. People are educated but educated so much that the power of the education is misused. Earlier we used to say that the pen is mightier than the sword but if we look in the present angle, it is our mouth. Our mouth is mightier than the sword as Robert L. Genua have said in his book “ Manage your mouth”. The communication is the main factor in this world that is making differences in the life of every individual. It is the factor which either takes us ahead or keeps low in our life. Violence of the country, region or the continents does not erupt from the society but erupts from individual. This individuals have enough resources for others and in turns move the others towards his ambition relatively making enormous and huge implication to the government and misunderstanding within themselves creating havoc and crisis.

A reflection on the recent crime happened in our town.

A third year college student in my school was raped, robbed and murdered just this week by two men, one was a bank security guard and one was a tricycle driver. The incident happened at 2AM in the morning. The girl was walking home to her dorm (near the school but outside the school grounds) apparently from a school-related group activity and these two men spotted her, grabbed her, pointed a gun at her and took her by the tricycle. After she was murdered, her body was thrown away in a far away, secluded place beyond the school. Good thing there was a witness who immediately went to the police which led to the arresting of the two men.

The abduction happened in a place where I frequently pass by when I go home walking from school. It gave me the chill when I heard the news and I told myself I will not pass by that place again alone at night. I sometimes go home at 7PM and I walk alone and when I pass by that dark place at that time, there would only be a very few people around although vehicles pass by since it is just beside the road.

I realized that our town is no longer the peaceful town like it used to be when I was younger. It’s a little sad when I think about it because instead of a town giving you security and comfort, it becomes a town that scares you. But all the people can do is to be extra careful and avoid going home alone in the dead night or early dawn.

I pity the family of the girl and when I see news like this, I always wish that the death penalty will be brought back in our justice system.

Is there such thing as voluntary rape?

Rape is when a man/woman have involuntary sex it is considered rape, but could there really be something as voluntary rape? I mean, we live in a crazy world, I’ve heard of cases of man who make their girlfriends sing a contract son that they wouldn’t be charged with rape the next morning.

So I’ll explain it with some cases I could think of. Imagine you are about to have sex with your boyfriend/girlfriend, and you don’t really feel like it but you let him/her have their way, would this be rape? I mean you basicly allowed the sex and didn’t do anything to stop it.

Imagine you are drunk, I mean really drunk and you meet some one as drunk as you on the street. The thing is that you two go home or to a cheap hotel room. You don’t want to have sex, but you’re so drunk you don’t care what happens so you and that person have sex. Was this rape? I don’t consider it to be. You didn’t say anything to stop the sex.

So what do I consider rape? Well for me rape is when a man/woman are forced to have sex, lets keep clear that for this to be involuntary you must try to stop it some how. I mean unless you are as desperate as my neighbor from back home, you wont enjoy some one raping you.

And yes I consider that a rape could be voluntary. I mean everyone has a fantasy that they are being taken advantage of, or is it just me???

In spite of the continuous increase in the funding of security agencies, violent crimes continue to be on the increase. What are the root causes of this menance and how can its growth be stemmed?

The commission of violent crimes is on the rise today. From school shootings to armed robbery, hate crimes, mindless killings, etc, it has become a plague that is eating deep into the sense of security of individuals in the society. Most of these violent crimes are committed against random victims and without obvious motive. It is as if there is a competition among the perpetrators of these crimes, which each one seeking to outdo the other. A lot of lives have been ruined, properties destroyed and people have been scarred for life as a result of violence in our society. In Nigeria, religious violence has led to the destruction of many lives and property in Jos, plateau State. Political violence has also led to the maiming of individuals in the society. Violence has also resulted in the destruction of whole communities. The prevalence of this ever increasing rate of violence around the world has led to such question as: what is happening? What could be behind these awful crimes? Why do they do it?

While some people may argue that the propensity for violence is innate in all humans, many experts are of the view that the following factors do contribute to the increasing spate of violent crimes in our society:

· Family breakdown

· Hate groups and extremists

In this prophetic message to the world, Apostle Perez Oluyemi urged nations of the earth to team up as one to tackle the problem of terrorism before it leads to another world war.

Apostle Perez Oluyemi is a Nigerian man of God who has made many predictions that have come to pass. In his recent prediction he warned nations of the earth of the mysterious things that would envelope the world in years to come. Once again, he is now calling on all nations of the earth to rise up to fight terrorism.
“The spate at which terrorism is going might lead to another world war if not properly handled.
The man of God that made reference to restiveness in virtually all nations of the world warned that world might annihilate itself if terrorism is not adequately addressed”.
Apostle Perez Oluyemi who spoke on the skyrocketing level at which some nations of the world are developing weapons of mass destruction to the detriment of other nations criticitised this trend which he said United Nation (UN) may not be able to handle in years to come.
“It is pathetically shocking and horridly unfortunate that at this age and time that some counties or countries assume in error that they are free terror or rather ‘terrorism and from what the world is about it. Goof! I say it is time now we all realized that terrorism is an horrendously odd war declared against the entire human race or races, leaving no race or colour out”
In his world: “Terrorism is deadlier and much more devastatingly lethal than the long spoken about the world most dreaded monster, ‘AIDS’ or even any other. It is exterminating force in geometrical order rather than arithmetical”.
He stated that terrorism is a heinous crime against the entire creation of God, human race, and that the whole world must team up to fight it before it leads to another war world war three.
“If your Haman live in the book of Esther, which is a standing terror, systematically terrorism in ceaseless…. Surreptitiously moves and adamantly tenaciously in an ever increasing strife to rule your world and ours; is properly taken care of, then our established lifting prosperity and promotion together in eschaton is assured.
He further stated that if the world lose the war on terror the end results would be calamitous not just to one nation but the entire nations of the world.
“If we lose this war; we are going down the drain together. So it is truly the war of the whole world. It is the unnamed world war 3”, he stated.
“There are only 37 years for the end time grand agenda. By the grace of God I can open the details of this mystery to the whole at the right for it is only hidden in the world of God. Apostle Philip also unraveled a mystery to Eunuch of Ethiopia. What I am doing now is solely biblical-so that the world do not annihilate or exterminate until He that letteth lets”.

In the day in day out creation and enforcement of laws by our government and law enforcement officials, it is a common occurrence for an issue to come up that is layered with emotional and moral questions. At the legislative level even today, our government is wrestling with issues involving cloning and stem cell research and trying to find a middle ground between the ethical, moral and religious issues versus the scientific benefit that might come from the practice.

One of the great debates has been ongoing in American society over it’s history has been over whether it is moral and right to use the death penalty as a punishment for heinous crimes. Whether one is for abolishing this form of punishment or on the side of using it as a just outcome for a criminal, there is no question that the issue itself is a difficult one to decide.

The arguments for or against the death penalty are often not offered from a legal point of view. The positions taken by those both for and against the law fall under a few general classifications…

.	The argument from morality against the death penalty. That it is immoral for a just society to take a life, even if it is of a criminal who themselves have taken life.

.	The argument from morality for the death penalty. That it is just for the life of one convicted of a heinous crime to lose their lives as a proper outcome of that crime. That certain crimes should always be defined as so grievous that the one committing this crime must not continue to live and that it is the responsibility of the legal system to remove such individuals from society via the death penalty.

.	The argument that the death penalty does or does not constitute cruel or unusual punishment.

.	The argument that God calls for the death of the murderer under the “and eye for an eye” statute from the Hebrew Old Testament.

.	The argument that God calls for the forgiveness of even the murderer as part of the theology of the Christian New Testament.

.	The argument from economy that it costs less to execute a criminal than to keep him or her in prison for life.

.	The argument that the most heinous criminal could be rehabilitated to become a productive member of society.

.	The argument from revenge, that the family of victims of heinous crimes deserve to see the killers of their loved ones executed.

.	The argument from closure that for those same families and for society, seeing the death of a heinous criminal aids in the grief process by providing closure when we see the guilty properly punished.

It is easy to see why this issue is so emotionally charged and continues to be one of debate and dialog both at the governmental level and in political and religious circles.

It really isn’t rational to consider a law or the attempt by lawmakers to frame this issue into legislation as moral or immoral. In our representative form of government, those who would make laws have clear cut guidelines on how they will decide what will or will not become the law of the land.

The top level criteria for what becomes a law in this country is the will of the people. This can be difficult to determine especially in an issue that has fervent believers on both sides. The will of the people is not the sole criteria for a law as the electorate may not be aware of the legal grounds for a law or of the precedent in legal systems that were the background for our system of government. Again, reasons can be found in legal precedent that could be used to justify the legalization of the death penalty or the banning of it.
