At the very beginning of this discussion I wrote that:

"Following a cursory glance at the title of this article, one may, with some prima facie justification, remark that this article seems, primarily, to be about a greengrocer comparing different fruit. Religion, seems to have no connection to pseudoscience; and neither does Ancient Alien Theory with President Barack Obama."

As we have discussed so far, this is not entirely true. In fact, they all are tangentially related by history and by circumstance, ironically tied in with religion.

The Crusades into the Holy Land instigated monastic orders armed with swords instead of words. One of these orders of knights came to be known as the Teutonic Knights. Their members were mainly recruited from German lands, but also from other parts of the Holy Roman Empire. A late comer, it soon got into trouble with the established Knights Templar.

Frenchman Hughes de Payans was one of the founding members of the Knights Templar in 1118, its mission was to protect pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land during the time of the crusades, a series of military operations with designs on defeating the mighty armies of the Muslims in Palestine.
