Revolutionary Leader Of Cuba, Fidel Castro.

Fidel Castro is the revolutionary leader of Cuba. He grew up on his family’s sugar plantation in Cuba’s Oriente Province. He studied law at Havana University and became a practicing lawyer. Castro soon determined to work to overthrow the harsh rule of the government of Fulgencio Batista, a dictator in Cuba until 1959. He organized an unsuccessful attack on an army barracks in 1953. He was caught and sentenced to 15 years in 1955, and Castro quickly left for Mexico to plan new attacks.

Castro returned to Cuba the next year with a band of guerrilla fighters (soldiers who specialize in small, hit-and-run raids). A party of 80 landed in Oriente Province. All but 12 were killed or captured. Those who were left hid in the Sierra Maestre Mountains, and from this small number Castro’s forces grew to several thousand. They began winning important victories over Batista’s forces. Castro occupied Havana on New Year’s Day of 1959, Batista fled, and Castro was named prime minister.

Castro seized property owned by wealthy Cubans, Americans, and others. He favored the lower classes and made Cuba a Communist state. Though reliant on Soviet aid, Castro maintained his independence. He improved Cuba’s health, housing and education facilities but did not solve its economic problems. With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the island’s economic problems worsened.

I think you may have heard that life is like a spinning wheel. Moment we are on, and then we are under. Moment we live, and sometimes we are living difficult. This process is repeated as a spinning wheel that never stops.

The same applies to our relationships with partners. It is just like a wheel, as we go through life. Sometimes we feel happy with our spouse. But there are times when we feel sad.

All sorts of things can happen in pairs. When the ‘wheel’ we are on, everything is happiness. We feel happy to meet with him, walking together, watching movies together, sharing stories and stories, and spend time with him.

But, as the ‘wheel’ we are under, everything is just sad. Perhaps because of conflicting interpretations, I felt the attitude of your spouse, or discouraged cause that relationship is not sweet and the tasteless. In those times, we realize that not everything is beautiful in pairs. Bright sky will not always bright without clouds and rain.

How to deal with when the ‘wheel’ is under?

All that happens is that their own wisdom. God did not send down rain to trouble Him. But it is for the good servants if they knew. The rain is to nourish the crop, wet the parched land, and that His servants can drink the water down to Earth.

Such was the situation when you are having problems with your partner. What happens of course is its own wisdom. At this time you need to reassess your relationship so that it could be improved. In between you can do is:

Self-reflection – Take this opportunity for reflection and to evaluate you. Cuba re questionnaire during the introduction, have you ever hurt her? Have you had him to feel, discouraged, or you have to hide something with it? Survey and to go back in one by one ever made offense.

Correct any wrong – in self-reflection is, of course, you’ll find some mistakes you will ever do. Fix it and do not repeat this mistake again. Even if you know him he had made a mistake on your part, but the first correct yourself before you correct others.

Make what is going to mature your relationship – as I said earlier, all that happened was certainly favorable. Sure there is good news itself. Take a lesson from this problem so that it does not happen again and can cook your relationship. If the same thing happens, take the right path to solve the problem so it does not become worse and worse.

When the ‘wheel’ back to top.

Not necessarily experienced difficulties that will last forever. Of course we will see with pleasure and joy.
But when you rode out of the situation ‘wheel’ below, do not forget yourself. Let us remember that when you’re sad, when you are under. Do not be too happy with the pleasure derived. Give thanks to Allah for your issue of the difficulties of the way.

You have to remember, the wheel is rotating. Will be time well, you will come back down. At that time, the joy that is meaningless.

Therefore, no matter where your event is, remember and give thanks to Allah. All that happens quite favorable. Use the best available opportunities. It may be that the relationship will survive and happily ever after.

Cuba says imports from US off sharply in 2010.

HAVANA—Cuban imports from the United States fell sharply in 2010 while the country increasingly turned to trade with ally Venezuela, according to newly released government statistics.

The government also announced that agricultural food prices rose 20 percent last year in part due to shorter supply, even as authorities try to stimulate productivity with agrarian and economic reforms.

Cuba’s National Statistics Office said the island imported $410 million worth of goods from the U.S. in 2010, mostly food products. That was down from $645 million the previous year and about $1 billion in 2008.

The nearly 50-year-old U.S. trade embargo outlaws most U.S. commerce with Cuba, but it allows some things like agricultural goods and medicine to be sold to the island.

Cuba has said in the past that it would be buying less from the United States, saying the embargo’s requirement that the transactions be done in cash was too restrictive. Increasingly it has turned to sources like China, Vietnam and Brazil in search of better terms.

The 2010 numbers on external trade released this week had not been previously announced, and 2011 figures are not available.

The document said trade with Venezuela, which has become Cuba’s main commercial partner under President Hugo Chavez, topped $6 billion in 2010, nearly double the $3.4 billion registered the year before.

Venezuela provides about 100,000 barrels of oil a day to Cuba on beneficial terms and receives doctors and technical advisers from Cuba.

China was Cuba’s second-largest partner in 2010 with $1.9 billion in trade, according to the report, followed by Canada, Spain, Brazil and the Netherlands.

The United States ranked seventh.

Cuba said exports increased from $3.1 billion in 2009 to $4.6 billion in 2010.

So did imports, from $9.6 billion to $10.6 billion. Fuel and food topped the list of goods Cuba purchased.

The National Statistics Office also said in a different report that prices for goods in agricultural markets rose 19.8 percent last year, led by crops like citrus, coconut, mango and melon.

The Cuban government has acknowledged that productivity is a problem on the island, forcing it to resort to food imports it can ill-afford—a total of $1.5 billion in 2010, according to the Statistics Office.

As part of a package of economic reforms, President Raul Castro has made agricultural changes including handing over fallow state-run land to independent growers and co-ops, and extending credits for farm equipment and improvements and

He frequently stressed the need for homegrown products to substitute for imports.

The creation of the squad by the War Department, was due to increased pressure from the NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and other organizations that pushed for opportunities for African Americans in the United States armed forces.

The Tuskegee airmen were the first group of airmen who flew in a black military unit for the army of the United States.

The controversial decision to establish a training school for black pilots took place on January 16, 1940. The school was established in the town of Tuskegee, Alabama, hence got his nickname.

The creation of the squad by the War Department, was due to increased pressure from the NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and other organizations that pushed for opportunities for African Americans in the United States armed forces .

The Tuskegee airmen were also known hows the “Red Tails” because of the red paint on the tails of its aircraft, used in Tuskegee, as trademarks to identify students.

Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Oliver Davis, Jr. sent the first class of Tuskegee Airmens you graduated. Over 1500 flew bomber escort missions and destroyed hundreds of enemy aircraft without losing a bomber under their protection.

Captain Charles B. Hall was the first African American to shoot down an enemy plane.

In Italy in 1944, Lt. Gwynne Pierson, Lt. Windell Pruitt and four other Tuskegee Airmen, flying P-47 attacked a German destroyer (TA-27) in the port of Trieste. The machine-gun fire reached the magazine and the ship sank. Pierson and Pruitt is credited as the only drivers to destroy an enemy ship using only machine gun fire.

These 450 airmen assigned to the European theater, flew 1578 missions with the unique record of not losing a single bomber while on escort. The bomber crews began to see the “Red Tails” with a better face.

His contribution and his struggle to achieve parity and recognition as competent military professionals, forced the War Department of the United States to revise its racial policies and, ultimately desegregate the military.

A total of 926 pilots graduated from Tuskegee Flying School to over the years.

One of the graduates of Tuskegee, Daniel “Chappie” James, became 4-star general and commander in chief of the north and head of the Aerospace Defense Command.

The Tuskegee Airmen have a memory in the Museum Park Air Force Base Wright-Patterson in Ohio. They also have a Historical Museum in Fort Wayne, Detroit, Michigan and a Tuskegee Airman Statue at the Patio of Honor of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The U.S. black pilots flew, fought and died for their country, while at home, were denied the most basic civil rights.

The story of the “Tuskegee Airmen” will hit the big screen in late 2009 under the name of “Red Tails,” the new George Lucas film project with Cuba Goodin Jr. and Terrence Howard in front of the cast of characters.

Previously HBO had produced for television movie “The Tuskegee Airmen” (1995), starring Laurence Fishburne (”Matrix”), Cuba Gooding Jr. and John Lithgow.

This is about a UFO encounter in Cuba which included alien-human contact.

There have been several spectacular sigAhtings of unidentified flying objects in the island nation of Cuba lately. There was one involving alien-human contact which took place in Matanzas Province on December 15, 1995.

That morning, a local farmer named Adolfo Serrante, 74, began his day. Taking a break at 9:20 a.m., Serrante gazed into the skies. He was shocked to see a round, fiery object descending from the heavens. The UFO landed gently about 60-80 yards from Serrante.

Serrante estimated the object to be about the size of a standard sized automobile. He looked at the craft and then the most amazing thing happened! A kind of door in the UFO opened and a humanoid stepped out. It’s features were not visible because it wore an all-green overall.

The being went back on board and the craft gently rose from the earth.

There were witnesses who saw the UFO fly across the sky. Investigators found scorched leaves and strange footprints at the landing site. However, Serrante was the only person to see the craft land. So we have physical evidence, multiple witnesses and footprints.

Therefore, I believe there is a 70% chance that the incident really occurred.

On the other hand, indicate that Wendy Mariela Castro, despite congratulating them but they refused to be a witness to their marriage when she learned that the husband’s political opponent. Was the popular blog Ewana Sanchez and her husband witness the couple.

The term “Rough Riders” was adapted from Buffalo Bill’s rodeo show, “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World.” The Rough Riders were led by Theodore Roosevelt and consisted of a band of men from Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Indian Territory. The men were volunteers of the cavalry unit that would fight in Cuba in the Spanish-American War of 1898. The men included gamblers, cowboys, hunters, prospectors, Buffalo soldiers, college boys and Native Americans. Before the formation of the Rough Riders and volunteering to head the cavalry, Roosevelt was Assistant Secretary of the Navy. The Rough Riders consisted of 1060 soldiers and 1258 horses and mules.

On June 8th, 1898 they boarded the Yucatan and ventured to Daiquiri, Cuba. The Rough Riders fought in the Battle of San Juan Heights losing 100 men. Theodore Roosevelt and his band of Rough Riders came back to the states as war heroes.

Hemingway's hugely successful novel, For Whom The Bell Tolls, was based on his experiences in the Spanish Civil War. Published in 1940, the novel was read extensively by Fidel Castro as he hid in the mountains of Cuba during his civil war to overthrow the dictator Batista.

Ernest Hemingway covered the Spanish Civil War of 1937 – 39 as a journalist. He was a sympathiser of the Republicans who were defeated by the army of the fascist dictator General Franco.

The Spanish Civil war has been seen as an overture to the second World War in Europe. But where the allied forces defeated Hitler - Franco was triumphant and ruled Spain as a dictator until his death in 1975.

It’s easy to imagine how Castro, as he hid in the caves with Che Guevara and their army of guerrillas would identify with the hero of Hemingway’s book, Robert Jordan. Like Jordan, Castro was an educated man and a natural leader. He knew he was fighting against the odds and death was a companion never far away. Casto probably contemplated his end many times, as Jordan did, but drew strength from the love of his comrades and the soil they were fighting for.

In the Spanish Civil War Russia supported the Republicans and many fighters were communists. An International Brigade of soldiers was formed, recruits were drawn from trade unions and the political left of countries all over Europe including the UK. There were also American volunteers who, like Hemingway, were attracted by the fight against fascism and saw parallels with society in the US.

Hemingway’s book was an instant success, half a million copies were sold in months and the film rights were bought by Hollywood, suddenly making Hemingway a rich man. It is interesting to wonder how a book like that would fare today when the media preaches right wing ideology daily and 1% rule 99%.

Literary giant Hemingway loved Cuba and lived there for 20 years on his farm Finca Vigia in the hills outside Havana. He found he wrote well there and another of his classics, The Old Man And The Sea, drew on his love of fishing off the Cuban coast and his friendship with the fishermen who worked there.

He also loved Spain and was tolerated by the Franco regime because of his world fame and because Franco relied on US support. He was seen as a defence against communism, so the lack of genuine democracy under a military dictatorship could be ignored.

Not surprisingly a different kind of dictatorship, one from the left and just 90 miles from Florida, has never been ignored. The CIA even sent Castro a box of exploding cigars.

Hemingway would have seen the funny side of that but he grew increasingly paranoid about FBI surveillance and it was thought to be a factor in his suicide in 1961, twenty years after he finished his masterpiece, idealising the role of the left in the Spanish Civil War.
