China introduces new standards to reduce the number of executed criminals. People’s Supreme Court ruled the suspension of capital punishment for the next two years. According to the court, the measure will be applied only in cases where there is a need for "immediate execution", writes the BBC.

In many respects England during this period went through profound religious, social, economic, and political changes that affected crime and social control.
